Good morning Chips and TOD friends. I just woke up and boy am I elated over how much money the Dems raised. I just saw Paul Steinhauser on CNN saying how much the Dems raised, and he said that he believe that the Dems raised more than the repugs. We will see. What a wonderful morning!!!!!!!
Good morning TOD family. I have to leave shortly for a job so hope the President isn’t too late in starting. I haven’t had time to call Tester’s office again. Tomorrow I will be home. I am still so upset. This time I will have everything written down I want to say. Thanks everyone for your help. Can’t wait to see the State Dinner tonight and see what Michelle will be wearing. Have a great day!
I do not understand Tester was a DARLING of the PL when he was runing for the Senate and the PL are not going
to make accountable for his voting NO? Oh but i forgot it’s Obama’s fault disgusting. I am. glad the DEMOS raised
more $$$$$ than the GOP keep Pressing and keep giving all the way.
Congress weman Loreta Sanchez called the GOP UN_ AMERICAN for not voting for the AJA bill a BIg Thank you
this is how we Latinos feel we have worked hard a play by re rules the only thinks we ask it’s JOBS is this a crime.
On every Election the GOP use the Latino comunity as a fucking punching bag tired of this B.S.
What will Hackperin do? There is a TIME poll that has the pres beating EVERY rep…I can’t linky cuz I am on my phone- but it’s on time.com under politics and look in swampland- wonder what that dick will do?
I GET NAUSEATED EVERY TIME I SEE HALPERN…HOW CAN MSNBC STILL HAVE HIM ON AS A GUEST…EVERY TIME I SEE HIM ON I SEND AN EMAIL EXPRESSING MY DISPLEASURE THAT HE IS STILL THERE…
Just thinking if it’s your job to hold an umbrella over the President to keep him dry, then your umbrella should be over the President to keep him dry. And when PBO asked him to move forward, he was frozen. Yes, poor guy. He was probably nervous!
One thing I noticed in these polls, the demographics are off.
The kids 18-29 voted at 18% in 2008, yet the NBC poll has them at 9%.
Hispanics should be15%, NBC has them at 11.
AA community should be 14%. NBC has them at 11.
Cross tabs are off on all these polls.
as we predicted last night, the first thing President Lee said was that President Obama is one of his best friends, PBO and Prez Lee have sunny personalities and the wide smiles will more than make up for the rainy weather
FLOTUS looked gooooood!!! Well, that’s per usual. I want that waistline. They did an earlier shot of her outfit and it was very intricate up close…it was shimmering with lace overlay I think. I know if the sun was out you would have been able to see it good. I’m sure she’ll recycle it because it was beautiful.
I saw her on my TV on C-Span2 and the outfit looked much better live. Sometimes photos just don’t match up to the real thing. It looked like little miniature crystals woven in the brocade-type fabric. I bet you it reappears around the holidays when they have to attend all those holiday receptions at the WH. Her fashions are always a nice diversion from everything.
So people are standing in rain and nasty weather to see shake hands with our President. I’m hearing people shout “we love you!” to our President. I guess that’s how they show their anger and disgruntlement, according to the MSM!!
I don’t blame them for standing in the rain to shake POTUS’s hand I would too, I’m like the mailman, I would go through the sleet, rain, and snow to meet POTUS and FLOTUS.
I think the Republicans are going to regret blocking Elizabeth Warren from getting that position the President her to head. This is going to be a race, a good race between Brown and Warren. And I think she can win it.
The House of Republicans are trying to make sure that the Presudents health care bill dies nor allow abortions.
Despite the fact that the President wrote a executive order detailing that, in that whole stupak fiasco, they are rehashing this for fundraising purposes only!
Even though the polls says the American people number one concern are jobs, that sorry ass Republican House will be discussing abortion today. Not jobs, but abortion. 2012 we have to get rid of Canter and Boehner. Get Speaker Pelosi back in there.
Recent polls also show, anniebella, that the majority think the republicans are placing too much emphasis on abortion and gay issues. And, you’re right. The polls show jobs as the #1 issue. I read on Twitter that Boehner made a statement today in which he claims that by focusing on abortion, the republicans are doing what the people asked them to do. NO. He’s pandering to the tea partiers and telling the rest of us to sit down and shut up. Not gonna happen.
thanks for the hook up Chips! Okay I will say it one more time so bear with me: “I like Prez Lee a lot and it is simply because he usually looks very and he seems to really, really, really like President Obama and is not embarassed to show it.
I find it amazing that most of the republicans don’t know the meaning of conservative. They think it means going back to an earlier time in our history, but it means ensuring that the vision of America established by the Constitution is adhered to and preserved. It doesn’t mean voter suppression, hating anyone, or ditching the parts of the Constitution one doesn’t agree with.
House Republicans aren’t at all interested in working on jobs bills. They do, however, have plenty of time for anti-abortion legislation that has no chance of becoming law.
…Republicans can’t let social conservatives feel overlooked by the focus on the tea party’s spending concerns — so they’re about to make sure those critical GOP voters know that they haven’t forgotten about their campaign pledge to block federal funding of abortions.
The House is set to vote Thursday on the Protect Life Act, legislation that would ban women from using the health reform law’s tax subsidies to purchase health plans that cover abortions.
.
.
Maybe some enterprising campaign reporters can ask the Republican presidential candidates whether they’d sign this bill in 2013 — and whether they think this is the best use of Congress’ time right now.
Yes we are:) I hope everyone here will read this and pass this along…..the other thing that got my hot Italian temper up this morning was the fact that just about ALL the reps from AZ including McCain have drafted a bill to drill for uranium in THE GRAND CANYON!!! A wonder of the world,a place where people from ALL OVER THE WORLD, come and see and spend their money,,,not to mention the fishing, hiking, wildlife, canoeing, endangered species that reside there, the water and aquafirs….AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Did I say how very much a hate these greedy, selfish SOB’S today?????
Today, consumers got some good news when a big insurance company – Blue Shield of California – announced it will be returning $295 million to consumers and the community by the end of the year. This announcement will provide some much needed relief to families who have seen their premiums increase in recent years. And it’s the fourth positive announcement we’ve heard this week alone about health insurance premiums.
Before the Affordable Care Act became law, many insurance companies could raise your premiums without any transparency or accountability. If you wanted to know why your rates were going up, they were under no obligation to tell you.
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, that’s all changing. Starting September 1, 2011, in every State and for the first time ever, insurance companies are required to publicly justify their actions if they want to raise rates by 10 percent or more. The Affordable Care Act also included $250 million to help States strengthen their rate review procedures so they can successfully fight high premium hikes and help keep costs under control.
Making the insurance marketplace more transparent and holding insurance companies accountable is good for consumers. Accountability and transparency can help drive costs down and give you more information about your health insurance choices.

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer took to Twitter on Thursday morning to address the “Today” show’s “obsession” with Biden’s spot on the Democratic ticket.
“I have noticed a weird @todayshow obsession with faux story of Sec. Clinton replacing @VP…Have asked both about it last 2 days on the show,” Pfeiffer wrote in his tweet.
Pfeiffer added that he was “not upset, just tweaking them.”
If its not someone from Goldman Sachs or Lehman then they don’t care. There is an entire site/unit called stopfraud.gov that lists all the lawsuits, indictments and conviction of anyone involved in the financial industry. Just made two phone calls. First, to Rep. John Duncan’s office to remind that all the Rs ran on jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs and that we are still waiting for a jobs bill to be introduced from the House and asked why are they still voting on abortion and planned parenthood and not working on jobs. Answer: Blabbering about how hundreds of bills go through Congress every day. I interrupted him and said that he isn’t answering my question and he said, “Yes, I just did.” I told him the American people are NOT stupid and I can tell him exactly what the Rs are doing: Keeping millions unemployed to try and put one man out of his job and that that is treasonous. My second call was to Jason’s Deli in Raleigh and asked to speak to the manager or assistant mgr. Explained that we met long-time friends there Tuesday evening as we came through town…..how I was so looking forward to an enjoyable evening UNTIL I walked in and saw the TV on Fox News…….said I purposely sat with my back to the TV, but the others were occasionally watching & as we were leaving some of them were commenting on a story O’Reilly was doing. I told him if I had been alone I would have immediately gone to mgr. and said, “Change the channel or I am leaving.” Reminded him that they are serving the public and that many of the public have no desire to be subjected to the lies and hate Fox spews 24/7 when they come into a restaurant. He thanked me and said he would pass it on to the appropriate people.
Thanks for the heads up Chips. In my excitement, I forgot! Whew! Thanks so much. 😀
We need to celebrate the fundraising!! WE ARE AWESOME!!!!!!! 😀
And I love those children in the photo/video their expressions are priceless!!
Hooray to the dollars raised, the number of donors, and the sheer joy of those children in the images posted! Thanks, Chips!
And, wow, the President looks wide awake and gorgeous, even at 9 a.m.!!!!
Good morning TOD family. I have to leave shortly for a job so hope the President isn’t too late in starting. I haven’t had time to call Tester’s office again. Tomorrow I will be home. Oh No. It is raining in DC. Everyone is pulling out umbrellas.
Good morning Chips! Good morning TOD Family!
So, since the fundraising totals have been announced, I’m sure we’ll be getting the news on our very own Donna any moment now….right? right? 😛 😛 😛
Have a great day everyone!
I cannot wait to hear from Donna – I was thinking the same thing!
What will Hackperin do? There is a TIME poll that has the pres beating EVERY rep…I can’t linky cuz I am on my phone- but it’s on time.com under politics and look in swampland- wonder what that dick will do?

I see women are boosting Obama’s numbers, surprise, surprise.
I guess Suskind’s hit job about PBO’s WH being hostile to women FAILED!
Halperin the racists dick is probably pulling out his hair, sitting around trying to come up with something negative to make up about that poll.
You realy want to know what Dickpein do? he is going to bend down LOL.
I GET NAUSEATED EVERY TIME I SEE HALPERN…HOW CAN MSNBC STILL HAVE HIM ON AS A GUEST…EVERY TIME I SEE HIM ON I SEND AN EMAIL EXPRESSING MY DISPLEASURE THAT HE IS STILL THERE…
I’m loving the ceremony so far. My President makes us proud!
I absolutely adore the friendship and genuine affection between President Obama and President Lee.
Cspan 2 has it also…
Raining there.
I have my direct mix channels on which shows a screen for all of the major channels and not one channel is showing the ceremony. What’s up with that?
OOps C-Span 2 is not listing with those direct mix channels. At least they are showing it.
Wanted to shake the guy who couldn’t figure out POTUS wanted him to move forward with the umbrella. GAH!!
Easy meta, My President can be very intimidating. Felt sorry for the poor guy.
Just thinking if it’s your job to hold an umbrella over the President to keep him dry, then your umbrella should be over the President to keep him dry. And when PBO asked him to move forward, he was frozen. Yes, poor guy. He was probably nervous!
I didn’t think South Korea’s President would pause for the translator. 🙂 And yeah, I saw POTUS get wet too.
One thing I noticed in these polls, the demographics are off.

Great sleuthing, Jovie. NBC doesn’t quite know what they’re doing, do they?
as we predicted last night, the first thing President Lee said was that President Obama is one of his best friends, PBO and Prez Lee have sunny personalities and the wide smiles will more than make up for the rainy weather
They really seem to like each other, don’t they? They seemed to hit it off from the start. The two of them are always smiling when they are together.

Can’t you tell, the crowds hate him. Lol!
I see FLOTUS. She looks purty! She is working that waistline.
FLOTUS looked gooooood!!! Well, that’s per usual. I want that waistline. They did an earlier shot of her outfit and it was very intricate up close…it was shimmering with lace overlay I think. They went way off script there, didn’t they!! the crowd loved it.

Peggy Noonan must be melting in her witches cauldron. 😉
What a beautiful ceremony!! I enjoyed every second of it. Rain or shine the show must go on.
Off topic but worth sharing nonetheless. Remember the flack the President for his “just words” he got from Deval Patrick?

That position the President wanted her to head. That is what I meant to say.
I think so too. I believe Elizabeth can win. What a great day that will be!
Yea, Brown can then go back to taking his clothes off.
I smell Bromance between My President and S. Korea’s. Same blue tie. Well..
OT: it’s amazing how many men in politics dye their hair these very dark, inky colors. Vanity, vanity, lol.
Those two girls are so happy. You could even hear their gleeful girlish laughter towards the end of that clip.
good morning TOD family
may the President have a happy;successful;blessed day dealing with all that he has to handle and may he and the FLOTUS have a wonderful State Dinner
