Are these commercials? I have not seen them. Very touching (loved the little boy and his dad touching hands on the computer screen!)
Our First Lady does so much for our troops.

Oh crap… I’m tearing up. Chipsticks thanks for finding these heart melting videos but you owe me a box of kleenex. Thanks again my friend. FLOTUS so inspiringly reminds us that there are those amongst us who may not wear the uniform, but are sacrificing so much on behalf of their country. Bless her heart.

(WZZM) – Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has a new job: Talk show host.

Current TV is announcing today that The War Room with Jennifer Granholm will premier in January and will air at 9:00pm following Countdown with Keith Olberman.

Current TV was co-founded and is currently chaired by Al Gore.  The show will be produced live at the network’s headquarters in San Francisco.

“The War Room with Jennifer Granholm is at the core of Current TV’s strategy to be a trusted resource for intelligent and compelling commentary during what is sure to be a critically important election year with many complicated and emotional issues,” said Gore in a press release.

Gov. Granholm has been a staunch supporter of President Obama whenever she makes appearances on MSNBC, NBC, CBS, or any of the Sunday Morning talk shows. So I wish her gooduck and I’ll be in the wait and see corner before I make any judgements.

I really like Jennifer Granholme – she’s been an excellent spokesperson, not just for President Obama, but for Democrats as a whole. My worry when they are contracted with these TV people is that they lose their independence. I hope Jennifer Granholme is able to stand firm and not get swayed by the PLs on that channel. Maybe we’ll end up with a real advocate for 2012. I will have to hold my nose and tune in to her show – any channel that has Cenk Uyger on it is contaminated.

I think Current TV is the offpring of Al Gore (who has no love for republican spin) and friends. If Rupe Murdock has no hand in in this station, it may well be our hope for truth commentary.I am encouraged by the hiring of Jennifer Granholm.

I had found Granholm a rather stilted speaker while she was Governor but she has found her inner fire since then. She’s passionate and speaks with great clarity. I look forward to her show.

Hey, I’d even watch Keith more often but when I click on and it’s Cornel/Smiley or Markos I have to run like the wind.

Btw: Tom Hanks is a big Obama fan, just like George Clooney.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced today his decision that the Department of Energy will work more closely with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in reviewing proposed electric transmission projects under section 216 of the Federal Power Act (FPA), as an alternative to delegating additional authority to FERC.

Chu said, “This nation promptly needs to build the electric grid of the 21st century to compete in the global economy.  Enhanced cooperation between DOE and FERC is the best way to help achieve this goal.  I look forward to working with Chairman Wellinghoff as we take steps to ease congestion and increase reliability while modernizing the grid.”

Secretary Chu has been doing a great job for the administration and our country. I’m thinking we won’t know the full value until the “history books” are written, because his job isn’t as “sexy” at times as some of the others.

Bob, I love your twitter advocacy and outreach. You have been relentless on Van Jones for these past few days and I appreciate it. Pragmatic Obots have been on it too, especially this morning on calling out the CBC for not “unleashing” themselves on Tester and Republicans for blocking the jobs bill. I also appreciate the TODer who called out Ellison in Michigan. You guys are great and keep up the great work! This is how you do Twitter activism.

Thank you alice, jacqueline and Christi.

I stayed on him about his intentions and he has responded unambiguously. So, it seems worthwhile to support his efforts to create a counter force to the teabaggers. We should all pay attention that firebaggers don’t co-opt his efforts.

Oh, and my latest message to @speakerboehner

How does it feel to be owned by #KOCHMAFIA @SpeakerBoehner? 26M Americans whom you are denying jobs would like to know? #PASSAJA

Some crazy person sent this to me (as seen on Twitter):

Guess FOX didn’t spot the operative phrase, “Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.”

The long fall of Rupert Murdoch:

The Guardian found evidence that the [Wall Street] Journal had been channelling money through European companies in order to secretly buy thousands of copies of its own paper at a knock-down rate, misleading readers and advertisers about the Journal’s true circulation.

They also ran articles, etc. paid for by companies without disclosing the paid relationship.

I hate to send you to the orange place, but the Brit has an excellent diary on this so why try to reinvent the wheel.
