Watching live stream of wall street protest on the Brooklyn Bridge cops are arresting peaceful protesters. They just arrested a child, this is still America.

Yes, Sonjia. A little girl in green? Reminds me of my days of demonstrating particularly at the NY World’s Fair in the 60s, and I had to turn away to hold back tears. I was yelling, “Black boys and girls, don’t let them arrest you—they’ll put you under the frucking jail! Let the young white kids vanguard. This is up-South!” Sorry being cowardly and crass, but well, I know whose children this society considers valuable—from personal experience on those demo lines.

As an aside: While these occupations are supposed to be emulating the Arab Spring—In Benghazi signs went up thanking President Obama. Zuccoti Park, not much. Just an aside.

Well, so far we’ve heard from the New Jersey and Texas Democrats…..the country should pay attention to them…they know whereof they speak!

I hope people listen. Christie is no different from the rest of the repub. governors, just louder and bigger. He divides the citizens by demeaning and demonizing teachers and other public employees and blaming the state’s economic problems on those groups. Some buy into it but many others have had buyers’ remorse. Unfortunately some democrats made a deal with Christie before he was elected and it was played out during a pension and health reform bill which took away some collective bargaining rights. When he touts his bipartisanship, it’s because there were some democrats who were on their personal power trip and sold Corzine and later the unions down the river. They have not been endorsed by the unions in the election in November. The whole state house is up for reelection and it is being touted as a referendum on Christie.
