let’s do this….

From isonprize:

TODville. I have a favor to ask. You’ve seen my occasional rants about how people with disabilities are (mis) treated in these United States.

Will you please, please, PLEASE sign this White House ‘We the People’ petition and pass it on to your friends and families?

***** You can sign the petition here *****

It’s about funding Medicaid so that people with disabilities can get the proper supports they need in the community in which they live.

You’ll need a WhiteHouse gov account which you can get from the link. And please remember to go back and sign the petition. We need 5,000 signatures for it to get to the Policy folks at the White House.

Sign and share the petition– Support people with disabilities and seniors!

Thank you. Me and my son really REALLY appreciate if you can take a few seconds to do this.

Peace,

Isonprize

Let’s get tweeting:

If you’d like to re-tweet this message (which includes the link to the petition) just click here – and re-tweet!

Thank you Isonprize

19 years!

Crikey, this photo will be 19 years old on Monday.

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama visited Restaurant Eve in Old Town Alexandria for an early celebration of their wedding anniversary tonight. I haven’t seen any photos yet, hopefully they got some privacy – those photographers have to be infuriating, and the blogs that post their pics 😕

See you all tomorrow 😉

For all those who worried about Sue’s absence recently, she came back today after suffering ill health recently. I’ve reposted her message in the comments in this thread, in case you missed it earlier.

Thrilled to have you back Sue, you were missed so much – look after yourself, and get back to full health very soon.

i feel glad when barry’s glad

😕

Washington Post: Barry Manilow is setting the record straight: He’s an Obama guy for 2012, not a Ron Paul-ite.

In Tuesday’s roundup of how the Celebrity Primary is shaping up, we cited Manilow’s vocal enthusiasm for the libertarian Republican. “I agree with just about everything [Paul] says,” the crooner told the Daily Caller in a widely-circulated interview. (Of course, the Internet seems to widely circulate pretty much anything about Ron Paul.)

Manilow wrote us a pleasant note to clarify:

“Although I agree with some of what Ron Paul says, I am not actually endorsing him in the 2012 presidential race, nor have I ever told anyone that I was.” Seems that while Manilow made an eye-catching $2,300 contribution to the Texas congressman’s 2008 campaign, he also — like many showbiz colleagues — sprinkled cash equally on Obama, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton during the primary, plus $28,500 to the Obama Victory Fund. And he plans to vote for Obama next year. “He loves his president,” a rep said.

Thanks Hopefruit!

still ‘soft on terror’?

You have to love John McCain wondering out loud if “this is a man who has what it takes to protect America from Osama bin Laden”?

tod on twitter

Hi people. I finally got around to creating a TOD members list on Twitter – you can find it here

It includes all the TOD people who added their name to the ‘Team Up On Twitter’ page (here – there’s also a permanent link to the page in the right sidebar) and lots of other good people worth following – eg official White House accounts, Bob Cesca, Steve Benen, What Is Working, Pragmatic Obots, etc. I’ll add more accounts to the list when I think of them.

So, if you would like to follow the list just, well, click ‘follow this list’.

For those not yet familiar with the inner-workings of Twitter (err, including me), the list will allow you to follow all the tweets from people here and the other accounts I mentioned, all in the one Twitter feed.

Again, if you would like to be added to the list, just leave your Twitter name on the ‘Team Up On Twitter’ page.

Thanks everyone 😉

My eyes almost popped out when I checked the figure just now – $10,000?!?!

That is spectacular!!!!

Thank you so much to everyone here who helped Donna Dem in this fundraising drive, you’re fantastic.

And thank you again to Tigerfists88 for promoting the drive to his 26,000 followers on Twitter last night – legend.

Now we just have to wait and see if she won the challenge …. and gets a call from the President. Gulp.

Congratulations again Donna!
