She looks just a tad different than she did in Target yesterday. 🙂 Absolutely beautiful either way tho.

I’m starting to think the First Lady should run for President in 2016. One can dream, right?

When I think of Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” (how did that work out?) and Barbara Bush’s “Beautify America” (plants in every pot) and Laura Bush’s “Literacy” initiative (while schools flailed without funding and libraries shortened their hours) I can’t think of a single First Lady who has made this much of an impact of real people’s lives. From fighting for the Food Safety Act and getting grocery stores into poor neighborhoods where there were no options for wholesome foods, to all the legislation that gives real support to our military and their families, to child obesity, she’s amazingly accomplished and as focused on the goal as her husband.

This is what a real Power Couple looks like.

Mrs. O has broken the mold. She is one-of-a-kind. HUGE long-term effects.

I believe that is because she was already and accomplished administrator and knows how to make things happen. Republican First Ladies are the female equivalent of an empty suit.

Speaking of empty suits, maybe people could go to the urban dictionary and vote down all the definitions of empty suits because they all disparage the President: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=empty%20suit

Tien Le – Well, that is pretty much unbelievable. I go to the urban dictionary often – well, at least I did. I will try to remember never to make use of that site again.

It’s these little digs that we find that are really pervasive and troublesome. But: guess what, haters (and they know who they are) … President Obama will make the history books and you won’t; President Obama will be re-elected in 2012 and you’ll be someone with a sorry past and a sorry future.

Obama speechwriter, Adam Frankel. leaving to become exec. dir. of new nonprofit, Digital Promise, which will explore ways technology can be used to enhance education. I’m murky on the details but this new endeavor involves Secy of Ed. Arne Duncan and has Congress’ approval. Frankel’s forte was said to be speeches involving morality and history. He wrote the splendid speech Obama delivered brilliantly in W. Va. after the coal mine disaster.
Oops lost my link. Back in a minute.

OT: I donated $49.00 to https://donate.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/2012/donnanoshock3 one week before my 49th b-day just to make sure that “I” NOT Donna had a good time! We have to keep on going and donating IF we can to make sure our FLOTUS & POTUS stay right there where they belong which is in the Whitehouse!!!

Come on guys you’re stealing all my lines concerning our wonderful FLOTUS. I don’t know what to say, except I agree with all of what you said. And we are so bless to have a caring lady like her as our First Lady.

The other thing that so impresses me about the Obamas is how involved they are with bringing DC area school children into the White House for concerts, to help plant the garden, etc. These kids have never been treated with such respectful inclusion by any previous POTUS/FLOTUS. What incredible role models they are for a whole new generation!

You tell me what other First Lady would have even dare went to a store like Target. Some folks say it was just a photo op. But FLOTUS have always said she like shopping at stores like these. You see our First Lady wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Everything she and POTUS has they had to work for it. That’s another reason why they have my respect.

I PASSED HER MOTORCADE IN RI THIS PAST WEEKEND!!!! 🙂 of course we didn’t know what was going on & we even joked with each other like, “Dayum, is the President here!!” (neither of us live there so we didn’t know until the maids dropped off the morning paper and she was the front page story!!!

    It was STILL EXCITING!! 🙂
