Rick Perry’s Budget Cuts Will Leave 49,000 Teachers Without A Job And 43,000 College Students Without Financial Aid

On education, Perry offers the same message: “I don’t think the federal government has a role.” In rebuking the Obama administration’s Race to the Top education funds, Perry said it “smacks of federal takeover of public schools” and “could very well lead to the ‘dumbing down’ of the rigorous standards we’ve worked so hard to enact.”

And My all time favorite…. This was taken at the Perry/Palin rally last year

Having Perry unleashed on the world will have been worth it if he gets to slink home in utter humiliation. Maybe Texans will finally get tired of being governed by greedy, moronic, immoral yet holier-than-thou assholes!

OT: I can’t believe that a White House Press Corps reporter today asked Press Secretary Jay Carney about the reference to “bedroom slippers” in the CBC speech that President Obama gave last Saturday night. There were several questions about criticism from AA community like Tavis Smiley, Cornel West and Maxine Waters. But this question was just astonishing. This is what passes for journalism these days. Unbelievable.
I think the reporter “Ann” is Ann Compton. She should be embarrassed. I don’t know how Jay stands these people.

    Ann.

Q Hi. Thanks, Jay. Twice you answered that you heard the President tell other groups to stop complaining. Can you tell us whether any other groups have been told to “take off their bedroom slippers”? And should anybody in the ballroom that night take offense at the President’s admonishment to “take off their bedroom slippers and start marching”?

MR. CARNEY: The message that he delivered he has delivered — that night he has delivered to audiences in different —

    Q That —

MR. CARNEY: Well, I would have to go back and look at the speeches. He has certainly used vivid language — similarly vivid language before a variety of audiences. And his fundamental message is simply what I described before, which is those who support him and supported him and supported his candidacy in 2008, and who support the kind of agenda that he’s put forward have a lot to be proud of in terms of the accomplishments that have been achieved in the last two and a half years; that there is still much work to be done.

His point is that we need to — all of us — though the challenges we face are enormous and we have setbacks, that we need to keep fighting, keep struggling, keep moving forward to move the country forward — the economy and employment and all the other things that he’s pressing for.

So, again, that is the same message he’s taken elsewhere. I can’t answer your question about exact phrases because I don’t have all the speeches in front of me.

Q You’re careful not to use the phrase “bedroom slippers.” So you —

MR. CARNEY: I’m not careful, I just don’t know if he’s said it before or said it since. I just —

Q So he’s not sorry he said it in that context?

MR. CARNEY: I haven’t talked to him about that phrase.

Ann Compton is from NBC. Says it all. I’m going to go tweet Jay the evidence that PBO has used bedroom slippers before. His speech in North Carolina for example. Jay’s twitter handle is @PressSec. I’ll find out if that moron Compton has a twitter handle to and send it to her.

What an idiot,, it’s really like a race to the top, who will ask the stupidest question.

Slight correction. Ann Compton is from ABC. Her twitter handle is @AnnCompton. I just sent her a tweet with the pragmatic obots unite article that explained in clear concise terms that PBO has used the bedroom slippers analogy before.

This was my tweet: @AnnCompton Pres Obama has used the bedroom slippers analogy before. Do your research and stop asking @PressSec #DUMB questions.

thanks ut, Jay Carney is just delicious. I just love him. He has the patience of Job. And his admiration and respect for President Obama is just wonderful. I think he is doing a terrific job. I can’t wait for Donna to win the contest. I want her to let PBO know how much we appreciate the abuse that Jay takes from the jackals.

About Ann Compton. I said to myself how in the world does a so called journalist wait all day to go the press briefing at the White House and ask such a stupid question. It just boggles the mind. Is a reference to bedroom slippers breaking news that needs to be analyzed and questioned?

Also, I am so sick of reporters asking about criticism from Tavis Smiley, Cornel West and Maxine Waters as if they represent the entire AA community. As Rev Al has said, they were never supporters of PBO. The so called journalist can’t even do enough research to know that Tavis Smiley has had his drawers in a bunch since 2008 about PBO because he did not attend one of his conferences on Black America on CSPAN. And we all know the convoluted story about why Cornel West is always criticizing PBO. He felt snubbed because he didn’t get tickets to the inauguration. Please… Bottom line, these folks feel irrelevant because they don’t have access to this brilliant and charismatic leader. I am too through with their nonsense.

This country is desperate for jobs. That’s what they should be obsessing about. They should be supporting the American Jobs Act. Having a cow because President Obama said “bedroom slippers” in a speech is pathetic and embarrassing.

    American Jobs Act Tool Kit
Standing Up and Fight for The American Jobs Act

On Sept. 8, 2011, President Obama annouced the first real plan to get our nation back to work and our economy back on track. The “American Jobs Act” would help get laid-off teachers, firefighters, police officers, Steelworkers and so many others back on the job. It would rebuild our roads, schools, rail, energy, communications, transit and other systems….

Deadbeat Dad Joe Walsh: Concealed Handguns Keep Gov’t Off Our Back.

Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) told an audience in Illinois that he was ashamed of his state for not allowing concealed handguns, warning that they were the “last line of defense” if Americans need to revolt against their government.

This guy needs to go and get some help…he has MUCH bigger issues to deal with and he’s obviously not fit to represent the people that narrowly elected him. I’m certain they must have “buyer’s remorse” now.

I watched Van Jones on Lawrence O’Donnell tonight talking about the Take Back The American Dream Conference scheduled for October 3-5, 2011 in Washington, D.C. He feels that October 2011 is going to be a game changer as far as people making their voices heard about jobs.

There have been demonstrations on Wall Street for the last 10 days.

Rev Al will march with labor and civil rights leaders to promote the American Jobs Act in October the weekend of the Marten Luther King memorial dedication.

Warren Buffet wrote an op-ed entitled “Stop Coddling The Rich”. The American people get the inequity of Warren Buffet paying a lower tax rate than his secretary.

We have seen the amazing Elizabeth Warren explain how no one gets rich on their own in the country.

Russell Simmons wants his taxes raised. He said that he pays less taxes than his employees. Other wealth Americans are asking that their taxes be raised too.

I saw a segment on Rachel Maddow where across the country people are going to bridges and putting up signs saying they need work.

Since President Obama gave his joint address to congress to present The American Jobs Act, he has opened a fire hose on the Republican Party. They don’t know what hit them. He has been relentless in promoting the American Jobs Act. It has been exhilarating to watch him and the response from the public.

President Obama is a warrior for the middle class. His message is getting through. Most American agree with his approach. He is simply on the right side of the issue. I think Van Jones may be on to something. It’s looking like October may be the turning point when the American people finally get engaged and take to the streets.

Absolutely we need to be concerned with voter registration! Unbelievable that we would actually have to think about that….may call my state Dems and see if they have a plan to have more voters sign up to vote by mail…voter’s need to register and make sure all their T’s are crossed and their I’s are dotted…NOT wait until the last moment and find a glitch.

I agree yardam. The only way the GOP wins is if they rig the system. We can’t let that happen. I just hope Democrats in all 50 states are making sure that voters have the required identification so there are no questions on election day. There is time to get this done.
