‘a bully, a punk, a mean-spirited, spoiled, vindictive, cruel man’. nice.

NYT: If he runs for president, Chris Christie might highlight the themes he mentioned in his speech at the Reagan Presidential Library, promising a new era of bipartisanship and compromise like the one he largely takes credit for achieving as governor of New Jersey.

…. Mr. Christie’s brief tenure at the helm of New Jersey’s government in Trenton has been marked by as much acrimony as there has been agreement … he presided over two years of loud yelling, back and forth …. he once said to reporters, of a state senator in her 70s who had criticized him, “Can you guys please take the bat out on her for once?”….

After a tough budget battle in June, Stephen M. Sweeney, the Senate president and one of Mr. Christie’s allies in the Legislature, called him “a bully and a punk,” “mean-spirited,” “spoiled,” “vindictive” and “a cruel man,” adding, “I wanted to punch him in his head.” Not exactly the stuff of happy-go-lucky bipartisanship and easygoing compromise.

… Mr. Christie’s adversaries in New Jersey – who include most of the Democratic lawmakers and the unions – take issue strenuously with his contention that his administration has represented “leadership and compromise,” as he said in the speech.

Some of the most important pieces of legislation of his tenure have gotten through the Democratic Legislature with mostly Republican support, while most Democrats voted against them. And the unions, in particular, have bristled at the governor’s decision to single them out in his efforts to deal with the state’s finances.

In town halls across New Jersey, Mr. Christie has been assailed by teachers who have accused him of attacking their profession and pushing through anti-union legislation by bullying Democratic legislators….

Richard L. Trumka: “Any worker in New Jersey who’s experienced Chris Christie’s idea of compromise, which panders to corporate interests and leaves working families behind, will tell you that it’s not working for them.”

He’s a reprehensible pig. An outright cruel, mean spirited bully. I’ve watched him participate in townhalls. He’s rude, condescending, loud mouthed, lacks substance, and when someone challenges his stance with facts; he practically flies into a mini rage and becomes the poster child of what is wrong in the republican party. The GOP think he’s their white knight? As I’ve heard it said before: Keep f*king that chicken.

I have very good friends that are from Jersey and have lots of family still living there. They’ve done and impromptu survey of family and friends asking what they think of Christie and would they vote for him. Not a one of them would vote for him and described him with some of the same adjectives listed above…including “fat bastard”, “Krispy Kreme” and jackass. Hey…not nice I know, but don’t shoot the messenger! We need to be informed regarding what the “average ” person really feels about him.

Show photos of PBO slogging through damaged streets in NJ, hugging people, stepping over puddles to talk to folk, soothing the dispirited. Is this a guy who is not engaged with the people and their problems? He could have sat in the Whitehouse and sent condolences. Gov CC, don’t make yourself look like the A___ you are. On this point you are right….’not ready’ ‘not now’ and maybe ‘not ever’.

He is a bully and that is what the Repubs are clamoring for. This is what they liked about Trump. He was an in your face kind of politician during his 15 minutes of fame. Now they want this piece of crap to pick up the mantle. They want someone who will confront PBO in a negative in your face kind of way because they think PBO will just take it. They are in for a rude awakening if this POC gets in the race. President Obama will knock him out (politically speaking).

He is fat and cannot be in the best of health. So how can he even think clearly with all that fat around his head? Also he could have a stroke or if he isn’t already, become diabetic.

Come on Folks, he just doesn’t look Presidential. Just Imagine him President of the Unites States. Come to think of It, I’ve never ever seen a FAT President, from any Country.

luci, unfortunately, William Howard Taft weighed 335 pounds. In fact, he famously got stuck in the White House bathtub and had to be pried out. Evidently, he was fat all his life and actually lived until he was 73. So we did have a fat president, but I hope we never get another one. Especially not one named Chris Christie.

But can you imagine either one of them hugging people the way our president does? (Especially since Taft has been dead since 1930?) To me, Christie looks unhealthy and unwell, and of course he’s also afflicted with asthma, no surprise. Perhaps his weight makes him so disagreeable. On the other hand, he might have been born spoiled rotten.

Can’t you just see him (Christie)bounding down the steps of airforce one, and sprinting across the runway to greet his well wishers? Lawdy lawd chillun, I don’t ever wanna see that.

It’s as if the words “bully”, “punk”, “cruel”, and “vindictive” are literally reflected in Christie’s rotund blubber. One expects to see a walrus’ tusks protruding from the top of his monumental head.
