Those of us who had to travel by air during that time were terrified. I really don’t understand how they justify their war against working people.

He’s such a TOOL. They’re all unintelligent people. He never gave the full context and the full story as to why the air traffic controllers went on strike. Reagan’s firing of them is one of the reasons why we have a messed up air traffic control system because there was such a rush to train a lot of them to fill the void; that they didn’t get the required proper training. But hey, it doesn’t matter to the GOP. All they care about is screwing unions and the middleclass.

    Cheering people losing their jobs…
Any union member that votes Republican gets exactly what they deserve. This broke my heart when all those air traffic controllers were fired by Reagan. Then to rub their noses in it even more that Republican Congress turned around a few years later and named my airport here in DC The Ronald Reagan Airport. Hell, I never call it that…it’s still National Airport and always will be. Geesh!

Ronald Reagan hated federal government employees – and showed it – when he was President. I was one of them and remember talking about that with others, from first-hand knife-to-the-jugular experience.

One of the many sad things about Reagan was that he not only was very Pro-union for a very long time, but was also the president of SAG.

I was born in DC and although I don’t live there now, I always call it National Airport. I worked for a firm that received funds from a federal agency,, CSA. Reagan dismantled the entire agency and all contractors and subcontractors were fired on the spot. So yeah, I couldn’t stand the SOB and still can’t.

It seems like there are 1000 Reagan airports in this country. Knowing that he fired all those air traffic controllers really is sickening.

Thats the first time I’ve heard this guy speak.. sounds like he thinks he’s quite the bad-ass… nothing says tough like being proud of firing thousands of American workers. Color me NOT Electrified.

I needn’t listen to the video, but for any and all those affording Michelin Man of being civil toward PBO in NJ after hurricane Irene, he says that PBO has been on the sidelines, he visited Kockroach headquarters, and he is lying about not running for president. Even though he “thanked” PBO for his handling of the aftermath of the hurricane, some gave him kudos. Please, always remember how these people operate 24/7, not in a moment of seeming clarity. They mean us no good, so they can apologize to heaven above and I will never give them credit. Per the old saying, …………”stripes” y’all. They don’t change. PBO says what he needs to say, nicely, because he must work with them, and represents our country in the best of class. I can choose to give them my ass to kiss.

Just to emphasize my point, as a caller just said on Rev Al, “if a snake is a snake one day, how the hell is he not gonna be a snake next week?”. Love that ole country wisdom 😀

Whoopi from the View said she lives in New Jersey and she doesn’t think that much of Christie. In other word, she don’t like him.

I reember Reagan’s firing the air traffic controllers too. It was mean and cruel. I wish the unions had called EVERYBODY in the airline industry out on strike. That would have changed the balance of power. Our Air traffic system hasn’t been the same since. This was Reagan’s first step in making the government seem less effective. He was not a good president, and he was not a good governor of California. There he was out to get teachers, like Christie is now. Don’t trust Christie…..he’s like Reagan.

…and it look like you ate all of the thousands that were fired. Punk.
