    Tweet from Martin Bashir:

    BashirLive Martin Bashir
in our interview with @martinbashir, @cornelwest describes being “demonized” for his criticism of @barackobama — clip to folo @msnbc

    My take:

No, Mr. West, the obvious jealousy in you of President Obama got you criticized! How dare you! As I’ve told my grandchildren: If you have to make someone else look bad to make yourself look good, you’re already not lookin’ so good in my eyes.

I have to laugh at all these people getting their little feelings hurt by PBO. Must say, my President is Mister Bad Ass. 😀 😀 Guess these folks never heard him say if you try to take advantage of him, he will “crush” you. Hilarious 😀

    • September 27, 2011 at 5:18 pm

He’s being demonized for being a hypocritical asshat. He didn’t say word #1 about the high level of unemployment until PBO became president. This is the major reason for the push back. If he had been like Rev Al, working for change all the time, it would be different, but this jackwagon got pizzed because he didn’t get a ticket to PBO’s inauguration. I’m going to keep attacking him until he and Smiley take their hypocritical, jealous, mean-spirited, money grubbing, fake azzez back into that hole they crawled out of after January 20, 2009. I find it very revealing that West is whining and crying about this now–he started it!

      • September 27, 2011 at 5:57 pm

I with you 100%. As we use to say “don’t start no mess an there won’t be any mess”. West and Smilely just won’t sit down and shut up. So now they reap what they sowed.

      • September 27, 2011 at 7:25 pm

Smiley/West are, what i saw on the net, Poverty Pimps.

I forget where I saw it, but somebody is calling them “Blackmann and Robbin’ ” Corny thinks he represents the “Black Man” LOLOLOL NOT!!!! And Travesty is all about robbing people of their hard earned money. And if not that, he’s shillin’ for the corporations that are usually on the backdrop behind wherever he is opening his pie hole.

The two of them are made for each other (and a therapist’s office) For real, both of them are suffering from Obama Derangement Syndrome. Obviously, if affects rednecks and Black people!!

So when he demonizes the President, it is criticism, when others criticizes him, it is demonizing. He reminds me of Palin. Why are people who throw mud at others so thin skinned?

Hey troops, listening to Randi Rhodes right now. She has a black male caller seeming to contradict himself, saying nobody can beat PBO, but then she says his support in the AA community is plummeting. He then says he knows why because some feel he is not talking to us, that he’s too concerned with the white vote. I want to scream right now, so if anyone cares, please tweet Randi and give her facts she surprisingly is missing. She even sounded a bit doubtful of PBO’s positive chances given AA support is “plummeting”. She apparently has been listening to the poison that is that Waters broad. Now I know who is primarying him—-it’s Mz. Waters (I’m sure she wishes this was for real).

    • 44 ChristiMtl
      September 27, 2011 at 3:55 pm

I’m so sick of this crap, his support is ”plummeting”…………..yea sure.

Well when she was all over Cenk Uyger last week, praising him, I stopped listening.
My tolerance level is very low

      • 45 edp4bho
        September 27, 2011 at 4:03 pm

I understand about your tolerance level, but believe me, you won’t get much more truth and support for PBO than you will get from Randi, and Rev Al. I just meant that she seems to be buying into the whole meme of the lost support, so I will give her a bit more time to get her info together. She is usually so right on with the truth. As for her associations, I’ve decided she is who she is, but she is damn honest. She’s part of a dying breed in msm. She’s also loyal to her friends, no matter their mistakes or plunders. Really nice person.

edp4bho, you know what, the black community see what these radical T-Republicans are all about, and yet they want to complain. I would love to ask that caller, do they think their life would be better with a President Perry or President Romney? These radical T-Republicans have already let people know what they stand for, and who they stand for, and it sure isn’t the middle class or the poor. Knowing that ought to be enought to make the black people support President Obama.

A selfish, narrow minded person can only see their own miserable life. The fail to see how they’ve played a part in the trajectory of their life and they fail to see possibility outside of their own narrow world.

Friday’s FEC filing deadline is only 72 hours away and we are still $171,984 away from our $1 Million grassroots goal. It is critical that we have a powerful showing of grassroots strength.

Please contribute $3 or more right now and a group of committed Democrats will triple-match your gift. Help us show the world House Democrats’ people-powered movement is strong and united against Republicans’ dangerous political games.

Cantor Presses FEMA On Status Of Disaster Aid For His District

“House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-7th, is pushing for information on the status of Gov. Bob McDonnell’s request for federal disaster assistance for Louisa County residents in the wake of an earthquake there last month,” reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

On Friday, Cantor held a conference call with Federal Emergency Management Agency and Louisa County officials. A readout of the call provided by Cantor’s office indicates that he asked FEMA officials about the timeline and process for determining whether the agency would grant federal assistance. ‘FEMA said they have received the Governor’s request and sent it to the White House for a decision but could not provide any specific information on timing,” the readout said. “Even when asked for an estimate based on past applications they were unable to do so.’

Clearly it’s a bit rich that Cantor is trying to make sure disaster relief funds get to his district as quickly as possible given that he was perhaps the key actor in the Capitol Hill showdown which threatened to halt all of FEMA’s activities.

I went backwards for half an hour thread by thread in the hope it would catch my eye but – no luck. In the meantime I’m missing out on the new updates, so …… Also, it looks to me like you’ve been messing around with the order/titles of the section ‘The last 15 posts’ just to confuse me. Hi Chipsticks,
Still no response from Twitter about my suspended account. I’ve filed my (typically) very polite request for reinstatement and for an explanation why they would suspend me. My posts don’t come anywhere near some of the truly vile stuff I’ve seen people post – repeatedly – so I have no idea what is going on – unless Koch, one of the newstainers or cry baby caucus members got upset by my urging them to support Americans – all of them – not just the rapaciously greedy few.
In any event, it would be a delight to see ‘Our4thEstate’ appear in your TOD list and maybe soon it’ll be active again.
          Thank you,

And now here’s Tweety taking his turn salivating at the Christie possibility. (after spending way too much time on Obama as the anti-christ and all other nutsy cuckoo accusations by the unhinged) I picked this up on twitter—–all the problem areas for Christie—-one of the biggest is that he used to lobby for Bernie Madoff’s SEC./

I was just saying yesterday that it must be mind-numbing for someone as intelligent as him to have to deliver the same points multiple times per day, several days of the week. I also remembered from the clip yesterday that one of the mayors said that he knew the real estate status in their city, and already knew some of the points they had wanted to emphasize to him. He just has a brain unlike any other.

Someone today made reference to that fact, as if it was nefarious. LHM, some people will gripe about any ole thing. I really never knew, until the age of Obama, how immature so many Americans are. I had the idea from the choices of entertainment, the short attention spans, the bling bling generation (now infiltrating the older population as well), the celebrity idol worship, the hero worship ever since 9-11, so I really should have seen it coming. It’s just that it was not so obvious until PBO arrived to shine a light on them. This is all the hollering we hear. Note how he prefaced his talk with the CBC, with history of struggling and overcoming. I have felt for a while now that he does get impatient with black folk because, as he was inferring, we know struggle and survival and overcoming and thriving. How dare some of these dishonest Clintonites question his loyalty and commitment to the AA community. As for his being a real black man, he suits me just dandy. Honest to goodness brotha, in my book. But a supporter for all.

I didn’t see the BET Interview but I just read this quote on Facebook from the President and sounds to me that he realizes that these Clinton supporters of 08 are doing the same thing they did now that they did then. Same story…different election year!

“The other thing I want to make sure you don’t just kind of slip in there is this notion that African-American leaders of late have been critical. There have been a handful of African-Americans who have been critical. They were critical when I was running for president. There’s always going to be somebody who is critical of the president of the United States.”

“What has always made this country great is the belief that everybody has got a chance,” Obama said. “Regardless of race, regardless of creed.”

You saved yourself some heartache by not watching that nonsense. I watched it against my better judgement. The very last question broke my heart, and I’m pretty sure the President was really disappointed with the last question, too, because it ignored a lifetime of work and achievement on behalf of black and under-served communities, all with an effort to further a dark agenda of evil and confusion. I couldn’t stop thinking about the President’s face when that last question came up, and how it looked like he was trying to rip off the microphone at the end of the interview. BET should be ashamed.

      It’s on the website http://www.bet.com/video/newsbriefs/obama/obama092611-full-s1.html
I didn’t like the way the interviewer spoke to the President. He came across as arrogant!

Hey Donna. I took a chance and made a $50 donation to your fundraising page. It took the donation and I got the confirmation email. Does that mean it counted for you or does it just mean they happily took the money but didn’t credit you. I have no way to tell. Do you?

Not sure why but the picture (3rd from the bottom) of the woman giving the President a huge hug really touched me. Her eyes are shut and she looks as if she is wrapping her arms around her hopes and dreams for this country and she knows it. It must really bolster his strength and courage to have people react to him that way.

I don’t remember in my lifetime a President who allowed this type of physical contact (all Clinton jokes aside of course). I’m sure it gives the SS a huge headache and it is a little scary sometimes but I am so happy that he is this way with the people who want to show him how much they appreciate him and that he is able to reciprocate, whether in a crowd of supporters or when lending a shoulder to cry on for a tornado victim, he really is a wonderful man.

ABC News is at it again…showing clips of the President on his latest tour saying “I need your help” to the audience at various speeches, and claiming that the President is “pleading for help” because he is desperate to get re-elected and is in trouble for 2012…blah..blah…blah..

President Obama is asking for help to put pressure on congress to get the AJA jobs bill passed. He did the same thing when he wanted to pass HCR, he asked for our help in lobbying congress (which by the way is what we OUGHT to be doing since congress was elected by us the people to work on OUR behalf, not on the media’s behalf or on Rush Limbaugh’s behalf).

I now have the channel on Rev Al. ABC doesn’t need to get ratings from me.

So Ed Koch has now endorsed President Obama for 2012….remember just a short month ago, he was ready to run against Obama, even endorsing the Repub candidate in the NY09 special election (Anthony Weiner’s old seat). This guy’s ego knows no bounds….

They know that the Pres. just put himself in a vicarious position with the world on their behalf at the UN. PBO pretty much killed the vote for Palestinian statehood. If it went through Israel would be in deep doodoo.

I don’t think Koch & cronies can ever repay PBO (at least not in my eyes) for the way they treated him with that whole Bibi ‘spit in the pres and vice pres face’ fiasco with his cohorts in congress.

The first time was when VPOTUS went to Isreal and they proclaimed they were expanding the settlements and the 2nd time was during the meeting at the whitehouse and subsequent address while the Pres was out of the country. That POTUS still stepped up for them at the UN says more about his character than it does for theirs.

But as we all know PBO doesn’t want to see the Israelis suffer because of the mean spirited shortsightedness of their idiot leader, so he will do what is best even at a cost of his own standing.

I don’t like the extreme right wing of the Israeli gov any more than I like the foul hearted rethugs in this country.

        /end rant

Sorry ’bout that. Just got carried away…. ***slinks away from the keyboard***

Hey guys. Bad news. Sir Corny Stinkass is coming to my school to speak (about what? who the frack knows?) Was working in the testing library today and went to the student lounge to warm up my dinner. while it was in the microwave, I started to peruse a board with the latest info, when to my surprise I saw a nasty ass, crusty ass face staring back at me. Impulsively, without looking around to ensure I wouldn’t be seen, I snatched his stinking flyer off the board and ripped it to shreds. Apparently he’ll be here on October 14 th from 8am to 4pm. Fuck! Now it’s 3 hours later and I had to go back into the garbage to try to piece the flyer together in order to get the relevant information like who’s sponsoring that fools sojourn to our lil’ old school so that I would know who to complain to. I think I might go and protest him too for good measure, right to his nasty ass face. Her name is Sofia Reed and can be contacted at sofia.reed@floridadiversitycouncil.org. You can also contact http://www.floridadiversitycouncil.org in regards to that assfaced clown 😡

West is desperately seeking attention. Right now he’s at the NYC Wall Street Protests. Of course he didn’t organize it, but is now participating because he can probably use it to bring attention to himself and probably try to drag the President in his mess as well.

OK I’m sorry in advance but picturing you tearing something off a wall, ripping it up in disgust and then trying to scrounge for it out of the garbage later makes me giggle. and…..”Sir Corny Stinkass”…..? Bah ha ha ha! Seriously let us know if you are protesting.

I just got polled by Quinnipiac. The first question was do I approve of the President’s handling of his job – I said yes.

The second question was how satisfied was I with the way things are going in this country
    1. Very Satisfied
    2. Somewhat —
    3. Somewhat Dis_
    4. Very Dis_

Before answering this question, I made it a point to let the pollster know that although I was somewhat dissatisfied, my dissatisfaction had nothing to do with the President but I’m well aware that the responses to this question are often misused by the media to make it seem as though people’s dissatisfaction stem solely from unhappiness with the President – when that is often not the case.

They asked me about my religious affiliation, whether I was part of a union, whether I lived in a suburb/city/rural area; whether I had any family in the military; my educational attainment, and household income range for this year.

In this poll, they DID NOT ask

    1. About congress
    2. About the Repubs

I’m going to let Quinnipiac know that I don’t like the way the second question is phrased and the how the responses are misused in the media.

I really like the 1st and 4th pics of the hands reaching out. Like we’re all so hungry for the lifeline of caring, fairness and decency that he evokes. Everyone just want to feel it…the energy…the hope…

Very moving. Now to catch up with the comments.

I was there, people of all ages, people of all races, a large number of young Latinos present, the President received a warm welcome. It was hotter than hades and people waited patiently even though it took a while to get in. Enthusiastic response from the crowd when the President talked about being a warrior for the middle class, oh and a memo to the media, the American people are not stupid and the President doesn’t need to “plead for help” they are ready and willing to make their voices heard. P.S. most of the people in the crowd would have given their eyeteeth to hug the President. Over and out from the Colorado Rockies.

That picture of the arms reaching out is really something. I keep looking at it. Loved the different skin colors–wonderful picture.

Yes – I had to save that one. It’s so artistic, and it just speaks to who this man is to these young kids who probably don’t even realize how much they need him to succeed. Profound.
