President Obama greets people during his arrival at Moffett Airfield, near San Jose, September 25

After arriving in Washington state shortly before noon local time, President Obama headed to a fundraiser near Seattle.

The president acknowledged that the 2012 election was going to be a difficult one because so many people are discouraged, but promised to “keep drawing a clear contrast” between himself and the Republican Party.

“You guys have been witnesses to what has been going on lately,” the president said at the Medina home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley.

“My hope when I came into office was, because we were in crisis, that the other side would respond by saying now is the time for all of us to pull together. There will be times for partisan argument later, but now is not the time.”

“That was not the decision they made. And so from the moment that I took office, what we’ve seen is a constant ideological pushback against any kid of sensible reforms that would make our economy work better and give people more opportunity. We’re seeing it even now.”

He’s got to be exhausted – and yet his smile is from ear to ear. Always giving.

Theo67, those are all of the millions of smiles that we have all sent out to him through our good thoughts, daily prayers, and daily meditations.

When we do a good deed for others through his courage to work so hard for us, then he releases one of our smiles. I look at it as ‘Our Tiny Jars of Energies” being open by him with “His Brilliant, Beautiful. and Strong Smiles.” We send them, he shares them with others. Keep Smiling, Mr. President.HZ

That is a great article. So glad to see the army leading the way in something besides war.

Our President is so handsome. His Seattle speech was great.

Dear Lord, lead, guide, and protect him, give him wisdom, strength, and what he need to lead our country. And continue to watch over him and his wife, and two daughters. Thank you

Yes, thank you desertflower for the link. That is so awesome. Our President is always working through and with everyone of his departments.

We are building in our country, and he will find other ways to do it because all of us here with Chips are sending out good thoughts of wisdome to be granted to him. He has God’s Favor like the songs posted last evening stated. HZ

Extreme Makeover with FLOTUS was awesome. It’s a shame any veteran ever winds up homeless. So glad to see the Joining Forces effort getting some attention. Part two of the episode next week.

I think the producers at Extreme Makeover did a great job incoporating all of these most precious ideas and sacred fabrics of all of our Armed Services which represents all of us across this great nation.

Along with the garden, the Whitehouse playhouse, the Award Wall, and the American Flag , all these just showed how when led by a great CIC and a First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden, we can make a differencce when we sit down together with our ideas .

Remember, POB told us that homelessness amongst our servicemen and women should be eracated in this country, and he would do everything, if elected, to help do just that. Well another promise being kept. Though we have much more to do, we will help him and our First Lady and Dr. Biden continue to do that as we go forward and help re-elect him and Joe…HZ

After PBO left Seattle today, I was watching the video Ms. Chips so graciously posted for our enjoyment, then driving home from work, found myself thinking how much I appreciate those secret service guys. Man, they do an awesome job protecting our man, and never lose focus, I loved hearing that one fellow telling the crowd on the rope line at SeaTac, what to NOT have in their hands, how to behave in front of the president. I imagine they have to say those same directives over and over and over each day, wherever PBO goes. Amazing the fantastic job they do, Kudos to them all! And my deep appreciation!

Obama knows the way to San Jose—-sorry for the singin’——-
but I am trying to cheer myself after reading a cynical, snotty account in the Chgo Trib of Obama’s west coast trip, written by Peter Nicholas of the LA Times. Checked on him, and this kind of writing is typical when writing about Democrats. It was just snotty and petty, sounded like it had been written by some jr high “mean girl”. It started with “the self styled warrior for the middle class took his reelection campaign straight into the maw of the super rich”, and the whole thing was full of ugly sarcasm. Infuriating once again.

Jealousy rears its ugly head, yet again. These people cannot stand the President’s success at everything he does. He is a man for ALL of the people, rich and poor, and middle class. Deal with it, green-eyed monsters!

Other than that rant, we must help each other to keep calm. 🙂

    • September 26, 2011 at 7:43 am

Of course he’s taking his message to the wealthy. He’s got to win their approval, too, if he hopes to pass this jobs bill and roll back the Bush tax cuts. He’s got to enlist the support of everyone to make it work. And he’s got a very sympathetic ear for that on the West Coast. Sounds like this writer has a very simplistic take on the whole mess we’re in. PHOOEY. PBO is a strategist par excellence and nobody – nobody – knows how to read him.

Wow Chips that is one heck of a visually stunning picture of PBO stepping off air force one. Just………………wow. He could be a model in another life.

Just finished watching Extreme Makeover. I was crying like a baby. As I watched this, I could not help but think that this is really who we are as Americans. We are there for each other. We help each other when someone needs us. We work together to make those less fortunate be able to have a hand up, not a hand out. It was so uplifting to watch these strangers all come together for the greater good of a community in a positive way. We need to harness that energy, that feeling, and take it with us moving forward.People with a vision, can make things happen and move mountains!
This divisive mood of Republicans, telling us we can’t, we shouldn’t,it can’t work this way….droning on and on and on….goes against the very nature of who we are as a nation! Why would ANYONE think that we can’t do what is right and just, and fair? What they say, goes against every fiber of who we really are….ENOUGH! Don’t tell me “I can’t” because I don’t know about all of you, but if anyone says that to me…I see it as an open invitation to prove them wrong! I am not going back.I will put my boots on. I will get up,rise up…and have my voice heard! I will call those in Washington, THAT WORK FOR ME, and tell them to do the country’s work, or get out of the way. They ignore us at their peril come election time. We are watching!
Barbara Marshall is beating the odds. She is doing right by the women vets and their families….she isn’t a millionaire, but she has a heart and compassion for others…and when you give of yourself, for the benefit of others, it comes back to you many times over. I believe that. Selflessness. She is richer than many would want us to believe.
It just struck me as I watched tonight….that is who we are. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m ready to go!

COS, do not hold those beautiful tears baack. Let them water your heart, mind, and soul. They were shed because something within moved the door open of compassion within you. Let those tears take you to a higher place ,wherever that maybe to serve others in your own way.

One tear can water a millions needy souls. I know COS, I did it for 16 families. Let your tears lead your mind to meditate on how you can help in your own way. Your heart has already been touched tonight for whatever reason. Now, go and make it happen in your own special way. My hugs come to you with my humble strength. HZ
