‘a badge of honor’

President Obama returns to the White House after a trip to Cincinnati, Ohio where he spoke about jobs, September 22

“The Republicans in Congress call this class warfare. Well you know what? If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as plumber or teacher makes me a warrior for the middle class, I’ll wear that charge as a badge of honor. Because the only class warfare I’ve seen is the battle that’s been waged against the middle class in this country for a decade.”

And Ralph Nader continues his quest to find primary challengers against this excellent President… and it’s the same Nader who praises Sarah what’s her face!

He should go find a Ford Pinto somewhere.

Ha, me too. He was beyond awesome today (and everyday). When my mom died 30 years, I somehow “inherited” her lime green Pinto. Damn car would always start. Kept wishing it wouldn’t. 😉 Hugs to all. David Corn who is off and on is tweeting the GOTP live. He’s hilarious tonight.

He’s searching Craiglist far and wide for his “six articulate” people. So far, no reputable, self respecting person has answered his call, to my knowledge.

After telling me that PBO “talks white,” I have zero use for this old, but small man.

It’s the candidate who defends the middle class vs. the candidate who defends millionaires and corporate billionaires. Do you even have to think about which to choose???
Interesting comments from Axelrod today after he appeared at a fundraiser for Tammy Duckworth who’s running for the new 8th district in Illinois, now represented by Worst Teabagger of the Year, Joe Walsh—-Crazy Joe’s going to run against a fellow teabagger in the new 14th district. (if he’s not in jail for nonpayment of child support) Axe talked about how all the Repubs are in a race to the right, trying to appease their teabag overlords and all are spouting the same policies that caused all the economic mess. He also disputes another lie in Suskind’s book, that Obama was about to fire Rahmbo. Almost every sentence in that book has been disputed.

    • September 22, 2011 at 7:08 pm

Suskind should just turn and face the wall for the rest of the year or maybe the century. Back home when we misbehaved, that’s one way our teachers punished us in class.

He’s been disruptive to some of us thinking people. Needs a time out.

Suskind had a premise and set out to prove it instead of letting the truth lead the way. What makes me wonder is—-why that premise?
And Obama has asked Rahm to be his keynote speaker at the Iowa Jefferson Jackson dinner. Looks like he still likes and respects Rahm’s skills. Suskind lied.

Wish we could put that on a bumper sticker – PBO, defender of the Middle Class v GOP, defender of the Greedy

Interesting article. My guess on the “couple of disgruntled people” Axelrold refers to : Larry Sumners and Peter Ortzag. My most generous opinion is that Suskind naively thinks that people who are the most critical are the ones who tell the truth, and people who are not critical are simply protective of the team. But disgruntled people are often those who have created trouble in the first place, have enormous egos and relate the story in a way that makes them the good guys.

Bachmann’s Ex-Campaign Manager Didn’t Tell Her To Stand In Meat Locker ( she belongs there not these poor animal 😆 )
Ed Rollins, Michelle Bachmann’s ex-campaign manager, weighed in today on a bizarre campaign event earlier this week where Bachmann attacked President Obama on several foreign policy positions – all while standing inside a frozen meat locker.
Rollins told the NYT that while he remains an outside advisor, he’s “not calling up and saying, ‘You should not be in meat lockers.’ ”

He’s been dogging her the last couple of days. He must be completely embarrassed. Heh.

      • September 22, 2011 at 7:10 pm

I am still trying to figure out why for the life of me, as a “seasoned” GOP politico did he hitch his wagon to her campaign.

Perhaps he deserves her and everything he’s getting. Oh, well.

The laziest, overpaid congress EVER…no wonder they have 12% poll rating. During Nancy Pelosi’s reign they complained working four full days a week. Their salaries should be cut, they should all go on SS and they should pay their own medicare premiums. No more free ride on the taxpayer.

What’s cool about the PBO photo is we know he’s going home to dinner with the girls, FLOTUS and Bo. Sweeeeet.

Hi everyone! Thought you all might find this interesting:) Someone with better math skills and more time on their hands might want to figure out what a salary of $178,000/yr, working THIS schedule, makes PER DAY! Considering they’re doing absolutely NO WORK FOR THE PEOPLE, I think we should start cutting these guys salaries…they’re all millionaires anyway…this must be there “savings account money” !
    http://www.thecapitol.net/FAQ/cong_schedule.html Truly…they are pitiful.

It’s about timewe talk about values. Don’t think the people want to give up a government that cares (SS, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, health care, safe food, clean air and water, reproductive choice. And when t hey realize that those who do not pay income taxes that Romney rails against pays payroll taxes. Sales. Property and other taxes but are too poor to pay income taxes are the ones that Romney wants to tax while cutting taxes on rich and corporations I think the choice will beclear.

Peter King? Calling Peter King! Were you there? Did the world fall apart? Are we now headed for armagedon???
If a community center is built 4 blocks from Ground Zero, will we all go to hell, or be ruled by Sharia law???
http://maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/09/22/7900617-ground-zero-mosque-opens-no-one-notices The stupid really makes my head hurt.

I remember Fake Noise was for the mosque before they were against it. Once again a fake issue created by the RW over something that was really nothing. A perfectly positive community center looking to bridge friendship and understanding, made into something ugly by the media.

I am so glad it is open and hope to go there next year when I visit New York for the first time.
