President Barack Obama will headline two fundraisers while he is in Manhattan for the U.N. General Assembly this week.

He will attend a $71,600-per-couple “small dinner” tonight at the Park Avenue home of prominent Democratic bundlers Jane Hartley and Ralph Schlosstein.

President Obama and the First Lady will host a gala event, complete with a performance by Alicia Keys, Tuesday night at Gotham Hall.

The first lady will also attend an event hosted by the Women for Obama finance committee. Co-hosted by DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the event will feature some of the biggest names in women’s rights, including feminist author Gloria Steinem, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, Emily’s List President Stephanie Schirock, and leading pro-choice activist Nancy Keenan.

        Cool a4alice!

Whenever I have a spare moment I try to do a little something to help our magnificent President and the majority of Americans who very much need his continued leadership – whether they recognize it or not.

        Thank you!

Our President has a primary challenger!

    • September 19, 2011 at 6:17 pm

Will the msm cut him off(like they do to this president) as he attacks only the president and not republicans?

      Not quite yet.

UPDATE: A closer reading of the letter announcing Nader’s plans reveals Nader is merely one of several people proposing putting up a “slate” of several “progressive” candidates who would primary President Obama from the left, with the intention of shifting him further from the center. TPM regrets the error.

That is how I understood it. There are a couple of posts about this on my Facebook page. What is not clear to me is this: It mentions in the facebook article a third party and then it also says primary challenge. If Nader and Dr. West are running a third-party candidate, i.e., the Green Party, that is one thing. If they are running someone in the Democratic Party to challenge from the left (whoever that fool may be), that is something different. But it can’t be both, that is, a Democrat has to challenge a Democrat, not a third-party candidate challenging a Democrat. I assume Mr. Nader, as many times as he’s run for President, at least knows this.

At any rate, I used to have a great deal of admiration and respect for Dr. West. It is a shame that he let his jealousy get the best of him. It’s often those individuals who claim to be so spiritual that are so full of the devil. smh….just smh.

This may be a good place to link “nader praising palin”..I had to take a shower after mostly reading it but I thought it necessary to add to his ever increasing worthless resume.

The MSM does not want to say exactly what they know…………..

This is not the time to be a lemming. We cannot rely on the mainstream media in this country for all of our information we have to be proactive and take a stand. We have to look for news sources that give us, not what we want to hear, but what is right and fair for this country.

This President is not scared. The MSM is scared and they need to do what is right for this country and stop carrying water for the Republican Party. The Republicans are not the grown ups in this country, they are the spoiled toddlers who want to break and wreck stuff.

The MSM does not want to say exactly what they know, which is the Republicans are not patriotic and in fact, they are committing treason by rooting for this President to fail. They are hurting this country and should not be seen as anything other than a bunch losers who cannot stand up and face the American people based on their policies because their policies are wrongheaded. The Republicans have to suppress votes and take away benefits from people who depend on them in order to satisfy their corporate overlords and the media helps them day in and day out.

    Hi Folks,

I see that Nader is not really challenging PBO, but I wanted a little information. Does anyone remember how many delegates you need to win the nomination and how many super delegates are there? I know that PBO will get all the super delegates so I am just trying to see how many more delegates he would need to win. I think it will be a joke. We can also look on the bright side. It will give PBO an excuse to campaign.

Why did they change Rev. Al’s show to “MSNBC Live” today? I have it set to record under “Politicsnation” and I missed the first half because of the name change.

Maybe it was a mistake; because it’s still Politics Nation and he just announced that his show has a twitter account @PoliticsNation where you can tell them about political stories you want them to cover.

The President and First Lady look gorgeous. Glad they arrived safely.

They are playing games because Al Sharpton is doing really well in the ratings game!!! Lots of people are recording his show and it is being tracked and showing up. Messing up the show title strips off some of his numbers!!! Comcast is pretty dirty!!!
