It seems to me most of these mouthpieces will say anything to get their faces on the telly. Maybe they need the money, we all know they make heaps on dissing the finest president in recent history. Perhaps they can’t admit they are all on the skids financially, and will do anything for a buck.

Funny, I signed in here just to post this bit of non-news, as I heard it on local radio just a bit ago. So glad you guys are keeping it up to date. Love my TOD family 😀

James Carville aka Skeletor needs to shut his trap. He told the white house to panic, panic, panic and fire a lot of his staffers. Soooooo after President Obama panics what should he do? What good has panicking ever done for anyone? Even in everyday life when the average person panics he or she makes erroneous mistakes. Joe Madison is right: Carville should just shut up. He’s beginning to sound as ignorant as his wife with her uber conservative talk. He’s all about protecting the Clinton legacy when everyone knows that legislatively President Obama is light years ahead of Clinton and is the true epitome of progressivism.

    • September 17, 2011 at 9:49 am

As Bob Shrum asked in his piece, why didn’t Carville fire himself during the Clinton administration or why did he not panic. Exactly, they are all about protecting the Clinton legacy.

PBO in his first term has done what presidents before him tried to do and couldn’t from health care to killing OBL. These people don’t like this at all.

Notice the only time he appears on TV is to talk negatively? Last time, it was Louisiana. Carville has not one good intention for this president. Like I said, I see him coming, I run in the opposite direction. I hear his voice, i mute it. Don’t care to hear anything he has to say.

PBO will win his re-election and they will all eat crow. But then these people don’t have any shame. Some will even try to take credit.

      Go figure.

    • September 17, 2011 at 9:57 am

Honestly, why is James Carville even relevant these days? When was the last time he did anything important? He’s a bag of hot air.

      • September 17, 2011 at 10:06 am

Exactly. He is so yesterday. I don’t really give a whit about what he has to say. He’s only dragged out to say negative things. None of these Clinton guys have had the president’s back. As Ut said above, their main goal is to protect the Clinton legacy. I dare say some are invested in PBO not getting a second term.

But we are going to make liars out of them.

“I dare say some are invested in PBO not getting a second term”…africa you hit the ball out of the park.

    • September 17, 2011 at 11:57 am

It seems I remember Carville himself panicking after the BP spill which prompted him to write a stupid op-ed blaming it on The President. He then had to wipe the egg off his face when The President got a 20 billion dollar deal and forced BP to dig not one but 2 relief wells.

Sounds like Carville is panicking again. He knows that once The President gets this jobs bill and tax reform through and the economy takes off then the gap between Obama and Carville’s old (current?) boss is only going to get wider and wider.

As I mentioned on a previous thread, no one can convince me that President Obama is not being primaried at this very moment, from the left and the right…everyday. The ground game that largely is under the radar is very crucial.

They are attempting to primary him but are not successful. His “Base” is still solidy behind him and that won’t change depite the GOP-loving Right and Left.

    • September 17, 2011 at 10:18 am

That’s some keen insight you got there Janelle, this is an eye opener. I’ve never looked at it that way. They can’t find a real flesh and blood person to challenge PBO, so they just use MSM as a vessel to carry their jealousy, bigotry, and hatred of our President. It’s a damn around the clock seige.

    • September 17, 2011 at 3:21 pm

they would need a base to have ground game and I don’t see any. They would need to be organized and have boots on the ground. I don’t see that happening as they can’t even organize to call Congress when needed.

I’ll go on a little bit of a rant today. Not towards the President but towards the so-called “liberal” media.Yesterday afternoon for their evening “news” and this morning again all they bitched about was how horrible the President was when it came down to jobs.
Not once and I am glad mom was sitting next to me or at some point I would have questioned my sanity;but not once has any of the fools “reporting” the news questioned the Teahadists.
Not once did they question why the Teahadists why they blocked all the job bills put forward by the Democrats.
I hear about anger but they showed the Teahadists
What about Independents and Democrats out of work? do they not matter?
or are the Teahadists the only ones that matter?
are their opinions the only ones that matter?
Again so that I didn’t question my sanity I made sure to turn on ALL 3 networks and got the same damn thing . . .

This morning again all I got was low approval rating and hollywood being disappointed in our President and 2 judas democrats backstabbing the President 🙄

I’m glad I’m not the only one that is placing the blame squarely on the president’s back. I’ve also wondered why the media is not asking Boehner where his jobs bill is and why the tax cuts they told us would create jobs hasn’t done so.

      September 17, 2011 at 11:52 am

      From the DCCC email:

Where are the jobs, Speaker Boehner?

After 255 days in the House Majority, Republicans have failed to introduce any jobs legislation.

You can tell Boehner to put aside the golf clubs, put down the tissues and get to work helping the President create jobs.

Help us reach 100,000 people standing strong demanding Speaker Boehner stop standing in the way of President Obama’s plan to create jobs. http://www.dccc.org/page/m/1d63c949/1be11c8e/43e23f71/4e0ced49/524511456/VEsH/

We need more Dems on TV asking Where are the Bush Tax Cut Jobs?

        September 17, 2011 at 12:15 pm

I can’t for the life of me understand why that question is not THE main question being asked…….they’ve had their tax cuts all the while, yet the job market sucks. This question needs to be the prevailing meme on Facebook, Twitter, and every place else. It’s a simple question which deserves a like response.

  6. September 17, 2011 at 10:08 am

The President has been all over with his Jobs Act, with his pushing of the Jobs Act, and he’s been gaining momentum.. he also is the only person in politics that can move the people to ACTION- he knows this and so does every other politician out there, republican or democrat. And frankly once again – small people in the media, all the repubs of course and some folks on the ‘dem’ side.. just can’t handle POTUS’s power with us. “They” (Carville & others) have to attempt to minimize him/his power – so they slam him, they ‘advise’ him in stupid ways. They do not want him to win this Jobs bill.. they want to turn folks away from him. I really feel sorry for some of these folks somedays, how awful it must be to be them and have their tiny view of everything.. their fear of all things President Obama.

One thing about this time. It is helping to unearth the fair weather friends, the narcissists, the machine politicians and those that put their ideology above the common welfare. People are showing their true colors. Its like I suddenly have a truth machine and can see inside the facades and its very revealing.

      • September 17, 2011 at 10:36 am

Yes it is revealing, and I too am taking note of these people, I will never forget them and I will never support them.

And if they seem to have a change of heart anytime, they should NOT be forgiven, as a change would only show they are being challenged and are afraid and/or they are riding a wave of achievement. In other words, they are insincere and never should be trusted again, ever. They are big boys and girls and have had their chance to show character, and if they have no character, I don’t want them in charge of my future.

Absolutely Cuphalffull! I am so disappointed in the so called leaders in my community. Where is NAACP, Urban League, CBC, National Black Journal Assoc; and not to mention my local representatives. I don’t ever see or hear from these people until election season and to be honest I don’t see them at that time either just their signs. They get my vote because they are Dems and I like so many others I vote a straight ticket. They have been getting away with doing nothing for over 40 yrs. They are stuck in a way of doing things that has long past. The Conservative establishment is way too wealth and smart for these people.

President Obama is where he is today not because of any of these fools but in spite of them. They can’t seem to handle that. Why would he start to now listen to these fools. They offer him nothing. The President has always brought it back to the people. He started his campaign that way back in 2007 and he is starting his 2012 campaign the same way. That’s why he beat the unbeatable Clinton block (CBC, Hispanic Caucus, financial industry, and the so called White working class that so many said wouldn’t vote for him -which he did pretty good with anyway). He won more of the AA, Latino, youth vote of any Democratic President in the last few elections. They honestly thought they could speak and tell million of people what to do. I particulary remember the one female NY congresswoman who said Latinos would not vote him. He carried over 60 percent of the Latino vote. They have been rewarded handsomely in my opinion. The President needs us to get active on ground. To help push a different narrative just like in 2008. I am over my fascination with tv pundits. I don’t need nor do I appreciate someone telling me what to think. Judging from this board alone I say there are millions who feel the same way. Again, I did some phone banking last week; and if i were to use that as a sample the President has not lost his supporters. Donna set such a wonderful example for us this week.

There’s a vacuum right now. Until we have a Republican Presidential nominee, there will be lots of moving targets. PBO will be blamed for everything under the sun and the polls will be out every single day with some convoluted message, which the MSM is only too happy to push. The big picture right now is all about making the nation depressed. PBO Is working on the details of governing. He marches forward every day, getting stuff done. He is ambitious and he is driven, with laser-like focus. It’s becoming increasingly difficult fighting this, but I try to stay focused on our task, too. I’m so glad there is this community of supporters to lift each other up. Yesterday is a good example of how to marshall our forces for good. I hope we’ll continue to bring forward ideas to use our collective voice. We have to work hard to get our beloved President re-elected.

This weekend, OFA volunteers will be registering voters, phonebanking for the AJA and volunteer recruitment, and then on Tuesday, there will be a national phonebank to celebrate the implementation of the repeal of DADT and to recruit volunteers. There have been conference call trainings on the AJA to help disseminate the message.

Plenty to do! Please take a minute to see what’s happening in your community:

Yes….to what cuphalffull says….. these things need to be brought in the light, painful as it is. That is the only way they can be dealt with. As long as they operate under the radar, there is no way to expose them. This is a long way from the election….Sunlight is the best antiseptic: Justice Brandeis. I’ve said it a lot, but it is so. People expose themselves for what they are. Understand that the Obama people know about these people, and they will be dealt with in the right time.

OFA Ohio has been registering youth voters at the Ohio State Buckeyes’ football games on Saturday afternoons. This will not stop. When a couple hundred thousand converge on campus every home Saturday it turns into a city of its own. Great way to get progressive voters on board. That being said the Prez is SO inspiring with his TIRELESS work. Not only is he working hard to improve our economy, but he is working hard to make this a more peaceful world.

The MSM (especially MSNBC) has upped their attack mode with new AA’s (Chris Hayes) taking over weekend slots to BASH PBO. They do not like the 92% approval ratings that he is getting from the AA community in the latest polls. They don’t like that he is still ahead of all GOP (including a generic ballot) candidates in most polls, he is at 57% with the Latino vote and still has a plurality with Jewish voters at 53%. Inspite of all their constant BLASTING of this President he still holds his own with his BASE.

It is obvious Rachel Maddows and her MSNBC henchmen would like Mitt Romney as the nominee and for the race to be as close as possible by next fall. PBO would defeat Michelle Bachmann in a landslide and have a better chance at defeating Perry comfortably with his extreme views. So effectively we can have another Bush 2000 where the election is stolen. We ground and internet troops must help PBO all we can. Rev. Al Sharpton is his only ally on TV. This kind of focused propoganda is UNPRECEDENTED in US politics. The Rich and Powerful are going to any lengths to make sure PBO does not get another 4 years. It is the PEOPLE who will have to rise up for the CHAMPION of the middle and working classes. We in Ohio aren’t giving up. The fight has just BEGUN. KEEP HOPE ALIVE!! YES WE CAN!! YES WE DID!! and YES WE WILL AGAIN!! Obama/Biden 2012!!

Not to mention he is at 81% with Dems overall. The MSM is on a RAMPAGE to break these approval numbers. It is sad to see so called long time DEMS on the HATEFEST circuit. 😦

  12. September 17, 2011 at 1:36 pm

Time to focus on community organizing, social media, Internet. Revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya occurred despite state-controlled media. Time to place blame for slow economy where it belongs : on GOP obstruction, corporations hanging on to trillions in profits.
