I saw the video on the Colbert Report yesterday and it is just as hilarious now as it was then. Colbert had funny commentary to go along with the video. I’m watching him now and he’s making me crack up. 😀
I love asking Libertarians what the first three words of the US Constitution are….
WE. THE. PEOPLE.
Not, “I, the person…”
The entire reason for being of the US Constitution is the establishment of our government and taxation. The words “business” (in the context of a profit-making entity) or “individual” or “corporation” never appear in the world’s greatest Organizing document. “General Welfare” does. “Taxation” does. “A more perfect Union” does. “Regulate Commerce” does. “Establish Post Offices and roads” does. Almost any time it talks about a “Person” it is putting limitations on people. And on and on.
Yes dude in the video, please do read the Constitution you Republican drunk and menace to society quite possibly could’ve killed an entire family as you drive at over 3 times the legal limit!
All here, don’t ever let a Republican or Libertarian wrap themselves in the US Constitution as Ron Paul does incessantly. They espouse the exact opposite of what the US Constitution clearly is all about. In fact, the more these sick phucks keep up with their hatred for their fellow Americans, as they’ve shown in recent debates cheering for the taxpayer-funded executions of innocent people, including a clearly innocent father, and cheering for the death of someone who might not be able to afford health insurance, I’m becoming of the mind that any modern-day Repub should not be allowed to celebrate the 4th of July. Seriously. Everything these deranged menaces shriek about all the time is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the US Constitution. Damn…after years of having friendly debates with these people, gloves are off as far as I’m concerned. Truly messed up idiots that should never have any say over our system of government. Ever. Get down to your local OFA office…Now!
bonkers – Now that was exactly on point! Do you have time to send a letter to the editor with these words? This is the type of real American dialogue we should be having, so maybe some of these Rs and Ls will look in the damn mirror!
Thanks. They make my blood boil with their hatred and their hypocrisy about the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. I don’t really have time for more at the moment (spend a lot of time volunteering), but please anyone who likes those words, spread widely or alter all you want (they might not print “sick phucks”…heh)!
