I’d love to know what Grandma said to put that look on PBO’s face.

Dotster3 and family, I just read a beautiful article about Sgt.Meyer on “Outside the Beltway,Sgt.Dakota Meyer.” Another brave young man. I can hear grandmother Jean saying,”Mr. President, you didn’t invite me for a beer at the Whitehouse, I am granny, you know.” The article mentioned that they asked Sgt. Meyer if he had any requests, and he said,”I would like to have a beer with the President.” And we know the rest of the story. I just cried, as I read the story. Then seeing Chips’ heading and this photo by Pete made me thankful for our President’s love, peace, and good that he can bring out in a serious situation in peoples lives. Then to see those beautiful smiles on all of their faces must have lifted their hearts in the midst of such a serious ceremony. What a man we have as our CIC. I am grateful for all of the men and women who serve us so bravely. The least we can do is re-elect their CIC to bring them all back home as safely as possible. Bitter-sweet moments. HZ

Hi Everyone, nice article at The Peoples View http://goo.gl/2dkjw about Job Creators. Snippet below…

“But still, the Republicans are right that the president is talking about raising taxes on the “job creators,” isn’t he? Not exactly. See, the president’s proposal is merely to shift the tax breaks – it would change it so that these so-called ‘job creators’ wouldn’t be able to get the breaks just for the privilege of being called that. They would actually have to create jobs to get the credits! The oil and gas industry wants to earn that $40 billion in tax breaks back? All they have to do is create 10 million jobs for the long term unemployed, or hire enough new workers to get enough of the payroll tax break on the employer side, or some combination of it. The rich want their tax breaks back? Fine, let’s see you actually create jobs and you can get the credits back”

And, that’s how it should be. “Hey so-called Job Creators…create jobs to get your credits back!”

I love to see him when he throws his head back with laughter; makes me smile. Elderly women adore him and he adores them as well.

Loving that jacket on Grandma. I thought this post was about Mrs. Robinson, Michelle’s mama for a sec, though, Chipsticks. The older women always love PBO. From the 107 year old who said she would kiss PBO every evening even if he ate garlic, to this lady who looks to be having a great time.

Following his much ballyhooed dinner date with GOP front runner Rick Perry, Donald Trump wasted no time before his next high level tea party dinner powwow.

But when The Donald dined with tea party queens Michele and Dr. Marcus Bachmann less than 24 hours after breaking bread with Gov. Perry at the posh Jean Georges restaurant, even the most casual of observers was left wondering if his choice of venue wasn’t perhaps dictated by the most recent polls.

“When I entertain out-of-town visitors, I like to show off the many cuisines that we natives like to brag that New York offers the best in the world,” the ‘Hair Apparent’ told reporters, “Since Michele and Marcus spend most of their time in the middle of the country, I figured they might enjoy the New York version of what has always been one of my favorites, so I decided to take’em for Chincs.”

Thus, with the requisite cadre of press in tow, Trump’s limo led an impromptu motorcade through midtown Manhattan until they arrived at New York City’s ultimate Chinese food destination, Wok ‘n Roll at 36th Street and Avenue of the Americas.

The first awkward moment of the evening was averted when Trump jumped-in to rescue Congresswoman Bachmann who had confused the counter person by ordering the ‘tasting menu’ – echoing the popular option Perry enjoyed at Jean Georges the evening before.  Ever quick on his feet, and long-since having Wok ‘n Roll’s entire menu committed to memory, The Donald ordered an extensive selection of appetizers and entrées for the entire party.

The rest of the dinner went without incident and an abundance of smiles could be seen as the trio chatted away while enjoying such exotic fare as egg rolls, wonton soup, and General Tso’s Chicken.

When asked what he most enjoyed about the dinner, Dr. Marcus Bachmann replied, “It was amazing – the presentation, the sinewy texture, the exotic aroma – I can’t remember the last time I yearned so badly to get my mouth around something.”

Responding to a follow-up question regarding the dish to which he was referring, the proprietor of Minnesota’s most successful gay repression therapy clinic sheepishly said, “Oh, I’m sorry.  I was referring to the nice young gentleman who served”

Folks just a little OT here:

This is one of the things that seperates PBO form the GOP and some of their nutty policies.

Ron Paul’s staffer at 49 dies because he had no health insurance.

ThinkProgress asks, could Obamacare have saved his life? Remember this is the health care service that GOP wants to void.

From twitter, at a D.C. fundraiser tonight, President Obama said, “The odds of me being reelected are much higher than the odds of me being elected in the first place.”

Hey everyone just letting you know that the DNC AJA ad that Chips has on her site has been playing big time on local radio stations here in Ohio.

Each time I was in my car today I heard it on the radio and let me tell you the ad plays even better with just the audio of PBO, I think that’s why you’re seeing his poll numbers tick up and his approval ratings in the high 90s with AA.

Just think next week he’ll be back in Ohio hitting both Boehner and McConnell for the crumbling bridge that connects Ohio to Kentucky.

    • September 15, 2011 at 8:30 pm

Also guess who face was plastered on the entire front page of the Columbus Dispatch yesterday, none other than PBO. There was a major write-up on his speech and his jobs plan.

This is what you call going around the national media and taking right to where people live.

As Johnathan Alter said, and I paraphrase “Only a fool would underestimate this man”.

  12. September 15, 2011 at 8:25 pm

The senate also passed FEMA 6.9 billion dollar bill, but, the house republicans only want 1 billion dollars, which will be part if the continuing resolution til November!

Fineman again. Sigh. I would be just fine if I never had to see or hear from him ever again in my whole entire life. I am sick of his dismal Obama news from his “sources on the hill”. Who is paying him to spread all this negativity? I wish someone would throw a pie in his face. I would pay to see that.

    • September 15, 2011 at 8:27 pm

Do you know how many times Fineman said “on the hill” in that segment on LOD? 237 times!!! (or so it seemed) He’s a disgusting piece of work.

      • September 15, 2011 at 8:37 pm

Howard Fineman is suffering from hair dye poisoning. He has a tremendous disdain for President Obama., os much so that you’ll NEVER hear this toxic HuffPo bloviator say PRESIDENT OBAMA. It’s always Barack Obama. It kills this MOFO to address Barack Obama as President. I hope this bastard stays awake, tossing and turning because he cannot bare the thought of President Obama as HIS President!

He’s gonna do that ’cause HP is for sale. The owner is frantic to get away from Arianna. So much so that they’ll sell at a loss.

As soon as I saw Howard “Cheshire Cat” Fineman was going to be the next guest, I hit the mute button. I just find him repulsive with his many “contacts on the hill”. So he’s like a vessel for the cowards who like to get their digs in without having their names attached to it. It’s a pretty sordid affair. Fineman usually looks like he is licking his chops as he dispenses the negative narrative about President Obama. It’s just disgusting.

Ladyhawke, it is a puzzle to try to put together how such a sour and negative man can go daily and speak nothing but lies and negatives about a man who does nothing but good, wonderful , kind, loving, caring, compassionate, sensible, intelligent, and sweet things for our children, our seniors, our servicemen and servicewomen, and even for other nations. It is just so wrong. But we know better on this blog. Thank you, Chipsticks and all who contribute the good on this blog.HZ

Good evening, I feel that the reason Bill Maher, Micheal Moore and others are mad at PBO is because they thought they would be able to control him and tell him what to do. I agree with other posters that they are actually racists. I feel they have the same mind set as Charles Manson. Hear me out now. The reason Charles Mason(a looney toon) did what he did was because he thought there would be a race war and black people would win because according to him we are more savage. Black people would win but would not be able to rule because we are too stupid and he and his people would come out from hiding and rule the world. I think they really think he is not that smart and needs to be told what to do. Now Tavis and West they are arrogant assholes who think they know everything and all other black people need them to lead them. They feel they should have PBO’s ear and he should be following them, but see PBO has been working to help the people who need it for years. I have never heard of West nor Smiley going to black neighborhoods doing the dirty work? Nope. They are just as bad as the Teapublicans. I have ran into their kind before. They will say hey buy my book come to my seminar give me your money. I will help you. All the while lining their pockets and helping no one. Unfortunatly there are alot of people like this in the world who count on us not to pay attention and follow what they say. That is why the Teapers are going so crazy people woke up when PBO got in the race and were like we do not believe what you say anymore. Sorry for going on and on.

FTL, the way I answer people on Tavis and Dr. West: If Tavis and Dr. West were cared so much about the people in this country, let alone the AA, why didn’t they go and walk the streets and got people to register to vote in the 90’s when Clinton ran.(Barack Obama actually did that) Why didn’t Tavis and West walk the streets and help the people get better apartments in Chicago, rather than live in those unliveable apartments. Why didn’t Tavis and West work hard and run for the state government and then the federal and know why they were willing to give up the big money to do so. Why? They did not have it in them then, and they sure as heck do not have it in them now. They need to join up with Howard Fineman and go to another country and start their “Negative Hour of Power” because we do not need them here during our 8 years of”Positive Hour of Hardwork and Beautiful Spirits.” “

Also when people talk about PBO not having inside people I would think people would be happy. Did they not want an outsider? Don’t the Repugs say they are outsiders?
