Paging rence preibus(RNC Chairman), who gets no attention, but will say this is a violation of the hatch act! Like the last dinner proposal!
Of course, all rence is doing is fundraising! Nothing more, nothing less!

So $3M per execution. How much would life in prison have cost? Around 50K a year to house them in a max security prison – so each death row prisoner would have had to be incarcerated over 60 years for the State to start “saving” money on them.

Actually it must be much cheaper to house in max security in Texas as the article states “about three times the cost of imprisoning someone in a single cell at the highest security level for 40 years.” So the math is $25,000/year for each prisoner. That seems low, but still the larger point stands I guess that it makes no fiscal sense. Of course Perry and pro-death penalty folks would agree and say cut the costs by removing the court challenges.

So, I just read on the hill website, that Manchin 2012 strategy is to bash the Presidents green energy policies!
    Man alive!

The coal industry is a big part of the West Virginia economy, so I would expect no different to be honest. Manchin is a blue dog through and through, and he has to be if he wants to stay in office as WV is a solid red state. Not that I’m making excuses for him, but that’s the reality.

I donated, I am a sucker for these dinner chances. I would love to talk to the president about issues dear to me: education (I teach at a community college) and health (I am a physician). ..we all can dream……

here comes Michael Moore on The View 🙄

    • September 14, 2011 at 11:43 am

Moore is sharing his “disappointment” with Obama. He’s saying ridiculous divisive things like he voted for the black guy and he got the white guy. Got a groan from the audience. Also when asked if he would vote for Obama, he said he didn’t know who he would vote for but admitted he wouldn’t vote for a Republican. The only good thing he said is that the Repubs are so committed to the tea party that they’re now on the “Teatanic”. Our media loves these controversy-stirring guests.

Joy is asking Moore if the President doesn’t want to look like the angry man black when he keeps compromising over and over again and he quotes Maher who said all we got is his “half white” when he voted for the “black guy”

Who watches The View? Most folks are too busy to watch. I will never watch that show after the Cheney (War Criminal) interview. I was at my doctor’s waiting room and I saw the last few minutes of it.

I saw it when I was having my car serviced. The only good thing about that interview was seeing how frail Cheney was and all those machines he’s hooked up to (that was at the beginning so you might have missed it). You can’t be attached to all of that and not be in some considerable pain and suffering. Basically he’s dying a slow and painful death. Some folks would call that karma.

I get so excited when I receive an email from President Obama. I know it’s silly, but oh how I would love to be at a dinner table with him! My invite came this morning and I’m still tingling!!!!!
