Did they show the darn near empty room, or did they do only close-ups to avoid showing the room space?

    Just making a statement
W.H.: Everyone likes the jobs plan!
    By MATT NEGRIN | 09/08/11 10:14 PM Updated: 09/08/11 10:15 PM

All of the emails to reporters came from the White House. AP Photo Close
Shortly after President Obama finished his jobs speech, the hurricane hit the inbox.

Steve Case, the founder of AOL who was sitting with the first lady to watch Obama’s speech to Congress, is supportive of the new plan, the White House announced. Right after that, a nice statement from UBS Americas President Robert Wolf appeared.

Two minutes later: Jobs council member Mark Gallogly, followed by Sen. Kent Conrad, teachers leader Randi Weingarten and two more senators.

All of the emails to reporters came from the White House, and a few extra messages from the Democratic National Committee.

The statements from the administration’s press shop started appearing around 8:30 p.m. By 9 p.m., 18 had come in — including two identical ones by Nancy Pelosi. After spamming reporters with more members of Congress, the White House started dishing out words of support from interest groups (like the Center for American Progress), labor organizations (the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union), the mayor of Orlando, the “BlueGreen Alliance” and more.

By 10 p.m., 39 statements that all read more or less the same had been sent in favor of Obama’s new jobs plan.

Can you just imagine how she felt when only those stragglers showed up? Does she not have any friends or campaign advisers, to advise her to quit?

O M G HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA now that is freaking hilarious!!!!!! Don’t worry I see you Michele 😆 . I am still smiling what an amazing speech delivered by PBO….a great way to end a stressful day :). I like when PBO gets so fired up, it’s HOT!!!!!!! Everyone we must work together to get that bill pass. If PBO didn’t need our support before, he needs it now!!!!!! Boehner and his shit face was so disgusting to watch….how could you sit there like a lump of shit with a screwed face throughout the entire speech…I mean there must be something you agree with that will make you smile. If looks could of kill PBO would of been a dead man today. It’s amazing Boner doesn’t like PBO; obviously because of his skin color but he is blacker than PBO . Maybe it’s the hair texture he doesn’t like 🙄 Boner seriously gets darker everyday….Anyway congrats to PBO and his team for a superb speech and from the looks and sounds of things he is READY…..so hope you all are too!!!!!!Obama/Biden2012!!!!!!!PASSTHATBILL!!!!!!!
Oh Michelle looked so classy and gorgeous….love her!!!!

Jay Carney on Anderson Cooper 360

Thanks so much for this Doris. Jay was terrific. Anderson Cooper is a major disappointment. He almost seemed disappointed that Jay Carney was making so much sense. I loved his question about the fact that President Obama seemed to be threatening the GOP to be partisan. Give me a break. They have not done anything about job creation in 9 months. I guess Anderson forgot about that.

That anyone was in that room, let alone provided broadcast time, is one of the most damning confirmations of the total FAIL of the American education system.

Absolutely Bob. Got it in one. In my opinion everytime she talks, she talks to the invisible voices in her head or the aliens she perceives are in space and I for one am not interested in such nonsense.

What was the purpose of Bachmann little news conference? Maybe she is seeing the handwriting on the wall. Maybe Marcus should tell her that the fat lady just sung her first line, and it said Bachmann it’s time for you to go.

And yet the clowns in the media love to rant and rave about President Obama supposedly being unpopular, how he’s lost his base, how he’s weak, etc etc etc.

If this is the best that the Republicans have, then they are in deep deep doo-doo. I mean, this is worse than Piyush Jindal… at least Piyush’s response was so pathetic, it was funny, especially how he was emulating Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. This is just plain sad, with Michele Bachmann… let’s not forget her one response where she wasn’t looking into the right camera.

Thank you Chips for this place and all the people who gives us all the positive happenings that this President is doing. Thank you too Doris for the link to Jay’s interview with the msm corp whose only desire is to keep this country depressed. As usual, Jay was great. I also watch Bachmanns response and Ron Pauls. Bachmann had absolutely nothing to offer, no wonder no one showed up. I can believe CNN televised that drivel. Ron Paul is living in another century and does not deserve to be an elected official. He needs to retire. His only plan to improve the economy is to basically do nothing unless we are in a depression like in 1930. Ron Paul only mentions what was done back in 1900’s or 1920’s & 30’s. He has NO vision other than to the government is broke and not do anything but pay his salarie and pension benefits. He always talks about the government needs to stop taking care of people, I say the government should begin by not not taking care of HIM!

Why is girlfriend reading her response? As someone who feels she is qualified to be the leader of the free world, she should be able to stand up there WITHOUT NOTES and of course WITHOUT A TELE-PROMPTER and get her message across. Sorry Michele (With One “L”) that didn’t look very presidential.

I have a friend who has been my good pal for 50 years. Over the years there have been times when we have had wonderful, out of control, wet your pants, laughing fits. If we are on the phone, we just hang up. Once we were at a wedding, sitting near the front–nightmare!
