I’ve taken my Obama av off my twitter account because I think Republicans (and the MSM) you tweet will instantly brush anything off with an Obama icon as a hyper-partisan Obamacrat who’s vote they’d never have.

STR you said you had some concerns about FLOTUS and here strange behavior lately that was not medically related. Can you elaborate on your concerns?

        September 8, 2011 at 10:32 pm

I’d rather not as it’s just a distraction and none of our business.

        • September 8, 2011 at 10:34 pm

then why bring it up? Please stop this, this is all conjecture. This is the kind of nonsense that will be PLASTERED all over the MSM.

I would have erased if it I could. It was in an other thread and was already a string of conversation. I didn’t start the conversation or bring it here.

      • September 8, 2011 at 10:36 pm

“…….FLOTUS and her strange behavior lately that was not medically related”

Keith, sorry, I’m not having that kind of crap on this blog.

        • September 8, 2011 at 10:39 pm

no chips it was STR who made that remark, Keith wanted clarification. It was a ridiculous statement to make.

          • September 8, 2011 at 10:45 pm

Really? Go look at that whole thread again – I actually came in late to that conversation and against my better judgment did comment but never called the First Lady strange.

          • September 8, 2011 at 10:48 pm

            Hiya aristac,

StR said he had “concerns that are not health related”.

I could do without that kind of talk on the blog, but Keith’s response – “FLOTUS and her strange behavior lately that was not medically related” – completely pissed me off.

Sorry, I don’t want that kind of crap here.

            • September 8, 2011 at 10:49 pm

I’d be perfectly fine if you deleted that original tweet (if not that whole string of replies, as well as this one muddying up this new thread)

            • September 8, 2011 at 10:52 pm

              Hiya Chips

I don’t know what else went down with Keith before if anything, but that thread was spiraling into complete conjecture and may have contributed to Keith’s language and STR comment did not help in the least. Sorry STR.

I would like to offer my apologies Chipsticks. I participated in the conversation also only because she did seem not a upbeat as usual. Not thinking anything sinister just concerned.

                • September 8, 2011 at 11:28 pm

No need to apologize at all FTL, I have no problem with people raising sincere concerns, it’s only when the language starts becoming teabagger-ish that I call a halt. The First Lady always looks nervous – even terrified! – at these events, I honestly don’t think she was any different tonight.

Hi Chips! I meant no offense to anyone. Out of curiosity/anxiety whatever you want to call it…I want some clarification. I was not trying to flame or troll. I don’t understand when have I been trolling as of late. I have been blasting the Teathugs and their debate last night. How is that trolling? I am not a emoprog, PUMA, or belong to the Rightwing Fascist media. I am confused.

            September 8, 2011 at 11:40 pm

Okay, my absolute last comment for real this time. Chips, I respect your right to pend any and all of us at times, but honestly, Keith said nothing offensive, and he wanted clarification. Please give him another chance, as he seems no worse than any of us who are passionate supporters of the Obama family. I did not see anything he said that was offensive, and he really wasn’t into that conversation we had , speculating about FLOTUS. Have a good nite all ! And keep PBO and First family in prayers.

            • September 8, 2011 at 11:59 pm

Sorry EDP4BHO, your comment automatically ended up in pending because it included the word ‘Keith’, which – in my annoyance! – I’d added to the pending ‘blocked’ list.

You’re a wise one, I’d never ignore your advice, so I’ll back off from giving Keith a hard time.

All I ask is for everyone to refrain from speculating negatively about the First Lady’s ‘mood’, let’s leave that to the Teabagger sites. To me, she seemed no different tonight than any other night she’s watched her husband address Congress – ie nervous!

Let’s not add to the First Lady is pregnant/angry/upset/moody nonsense.

              Thanks EDP4BHO.

Chipsticks it was StR who commented that he had concerns that was not health related, and Keith I think just ask StR to explain. That’s my two cents worth. But I thank you Chipsticks for the other things you said, because like you I saw nothing strange in the First Lady behavior. And all the talk about what’s wrong with the First Lady surprise me.

Thanks for the reply Chips. We are still going to meet up for the President’s inauguration in 2013, I know. It]s all good as they say. 😉 I am perplexed as to this perception that I can be negative. All I usually do is try to uplift and encourage fellow supporters on this site. The only time I might me negative IMHO is when I get frustrated over the zillion reports about these non-essential MSM pundits who continue to bash PBO non stop. No matter what he does. It just inferiates me to no end. I know posters report that so we all know what is going on and how to respond and push back, it just makes me MAD. If that is trolling then I will do my best to keep my mouth shut and continue to be a part of the solution on this site. I want nothing more than to attend another FESTIVAL in Washington to see this man again of the steps at the Capitol in 2013. I don’t get where the perception comes from that I bring bad news. I try to uplift the blog and promote 4 more years for PBO. That being said I’m going to email Boehner, Porter, Brown (whom has always had PBO’s back), and some other Ohio legislators in Washington and tell them to vote for our new America Jobs bill. I will also be calling their offices. I have a twitter account, but still need to get enthused about using it. Thanks gain………..Obama/Biden 2012

Raised it a little this year, and I feel so good to know it adds up, it makes a difference, and they never forget to let me know it matters! You will feel the same sense of pride, I am sure!

Sue – Exactly right. Recently I sent the list of PBO’s “accomplishments” to a dear, far left friend of mine (who loves PBO). Tonight, she admitted that even she (who follows politics as much as we all do) did not realize everything he had gotten done, until she saw the list.

I really appreciate it when everyone here (especially Chips) posts this stuff, so we can send it on its way to others who don’t visit the various blogs, like TOD – from which all good things come!

I said good nite on the last thread but I have to say, OFA site has really become a cesspool with trolls. I still cannot believe that in all of atleast 2 years, no one has seen fit to overhaul that place. They decided instead to change the structure but it is another infested place for all of the misfits in this country who hide behind a keyboard because they’re too punk to come face to face with real people. Something really needs to be done as it lends credibility to the meme that PBO is weak, atleast to those who find reason to say so, and would allow such filth on a site that supposedly represents his ideas and goals. Maybe we here can assist those at OFA in getting this problem solved somehow. We need all the positive sites at our disposal now and definitely next year.

      September 8, 2011 at 10:33 pm

I disagree. I think it shows the President’s strength and that he is not phased by it.

      • 44 EDP4BHO
        September 8, 2011 at 11:14 pm

I myself don’t think it makes him look weak. I’m speaking of those who would use it against him, and we all know this is what some do. Besides that, it is discouraging to think a blogger hasn’t the time to devote to keep a site sane and purposeful. PBO doesn’t need anything else to have to bear up to. We need all hands on deck, strong and taking no prisoners.

      • 45 theo67
        September 9, 2011 at 1:00 am

I agree with you, L3. I think the President has said in a few speeches that he believes in freedom of speech, even when people say things that are offensive or not agreeable to our own way of thinking. So, it would be somewhat hypocritical for him to then only accept comments from friendly posters on his blog, when he’s President of all the people – good and bad. I agree that it’s painful to sit on the blog these days with all the trolls, but the website is more useful for me as an action site, rather than a discussion site. I think they would rather that people spend their time doing something, anyway. I come here and the thepeoplesview.net for conversation and general info, and then go to Twitter to get the word out.

    • September 8, 2011 at 10:54 pm

I wrote everyone I know about OFA, Jeremy Bird, Mitch Stewart, the President, David Plouffe and no one did anything about it. I have not been on that site for over two months. It is sad, because we need that site now more than ever with the campaign starting up. I miss some of the regulars over there. I wish they would just come over here.

        September 8, 2011 at 11:18 pm

I wish the same Jackie, and I know some how. Donna No Shock is one of them, and she has been invaluable, though I know she remains strong over at OFA as well. I say close the site down and start from scratch. As a result, all my donations go to PBO via snail mail from solicitations. I won’t even buy from OFA until they get that site as it should be. There are so many hateful, racist comments over there, continuously.

I’m in shock, just saw this on twitter

Mmn, mmm, mmmm. Lord Krugman seems to approve of Obama’s plan. Oh, that’s gonna piss off @peterdaou. http://j.mp/nz1Z5T #p2

I went to check his article, copying the first paragraph

First things first: I was favorably surprised by the new Obama jobs plan, which is significantly bolder and better than I expected. It’s not nearly as bold as the plan I’d want in an ideal world. But if it actually became law, it would probably make a significant dent in unemployment.

I have a feeling that it won’t be a diary in DK since he’s not bashing the President as usual.

    • September 8, 2011 at 10:43 pm

I saw that too. tee hee. I only care about his response because I want to see if the PL ignores it because its a positive for Obama.

    • September 8, 2011 at 10:44 pm

Lord Krugman, we don’t live in an “ideal world.” Even the compliment has to be back-handed. UGH, this guy is just a super annoyance.

      • 58 theo67
        September 9, 2011 at 1:04 am

I actually was encouraged that he acknowledged that this world is not ideal, so the fantasy plan would never make it in this reality, but that the President’s plan is good for the real world. That’s progress, with Krugman.

    • 59 Me4obama
      September 8, 2011 at 10:45 pm

Now republicans have an excuse NOT to support it since krugman is for it. Yikes 😆 😆

OK. “seriously,” it is seriously time for me to go to bed. I’ll have to wake up early to read more of the fantastic comments here.

Goodnight all. Our president done us proud tonight.

Now it is our turn to take this message and spread it far and wide. No time better than now he needs us with the long knives coming from every corner of the political spectrum.

Not only do we have to fight the GOP lies, we have to fight those self-absorbed 6-figures pundits who pretend to care about everyday people, when actually all they care about is guarding their mega dollars.

Let’s work collectively to make bald-face liars out of them.

I had just been to Ireland for the first time right before the President went. I fell in love with the people and I could feel the spirit of Ireland … to see them share it with my President is happiness beyond belief.

Just saw on twitter that Obama will speak at 11:35 tomorrow at U. of Richmond. 11:35 is kinda funny.

    • September 8, 2011 at 10:48 pm

In what way? I do like that Richmond borders Cantor’s district. Pres. Obama will also be in Ohio on Monday. Given he’ll have the 9/11 ceremonies on Sunday with stops in NYC, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon as well as the heightened security of the 10 yr anniversary he’s not going to have a very restful week. He needs Congress and Us to start pulling our weight.
