      Ditto,

Yesterday was so much fun. I spent almost the entire day here. Thanks Chips for a memorable Labor Day and virtual picnic with the TOD family. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and I look forward to PBO’s speech and live blog here on Thursday.

sigh. lots of bad polls >> ABC/WASH POST, NBC/WSJ, POLITICO……………..but in every one, The Prez still beats Romney & Perry.

    • September 6, 2011 at 8:15 am

43-45% approval. The msm was hoping for worse, after the bad jobs report! Guess what, he is still liked by over 70% of the people and people like his values!

    • September 6, 2011 at 8:23 am

Chuck Todd has been all over the place, including the Today Show, appearing almost gleeful about the bad polls. He really did a number on Obama, wrapping up his appearance by saying the low numbers signify the public has “almost given up” on Obama. He compared this situation with Bush after Katrina, where W never regained the public’s confidence. It was a real slam jam, with the only “balance” being the disapproval of Congress is 82%. And NBC then announced that Perry will also be interviewed today, providing some more “balance”.

Yep, I call this the vast media chicken fucking of 2011. He was gleeful about the polls. Almost as if his dog gave birth to puppies. The beltway is really trying, aren’t they?

    • September 6, 2011 at 8:25 am

Polls will stay bad as long as unemployment is so high and not trending down.

European debt is pulling our economy down.

Yup. It really does’nt have to do with PBO. My sense is that most people are hoping he does well, but if some stranger calls you on the phone with 9% unemployment and asks how the economy is, no person in their right mind would say that it’s great. But IMO, he needs to fight the perceptoin that he’s doing nothing, which is what th emedia wants us to believe.

o Polls will stay bad as long as unemployment is so high and not trending down.
        This is so true….BWD

But politics is local…it is about how am I doing…how is my family doing…If you have been unemployed for a long time…your hope maybe all but gone….

This is what was so great about the President’s speech…it infused me with hope….as he said we are going thru tough times but that we have been thru tough times before…and we will make it thru

I pray that the Presidents speech on Thursday inspires and give hope to the American people…will we have a tough fight….yes….but I am up for the fight….and it would appear that the President is as well…

Re: the media and poll numbers….it seems that we are in a battle for the minds….hearts and souls of the American People….it is a battle to the finish…it is an attempt to steal the HOPE of the American People….but if you watched the faces of the crowd…you will see that despite what the media cronies and bloggers are saying…HOPE is not lost…HOPE is not LOST!!!

        YES WE CAN
        YES WE DID
        THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES…

At some point, the masses are going to ask, what are the republicans solutions?
It’s not enough to be anti Obama, to win in 2012! What’s more, the president needs some better luck! Right now, all the luck is on the GOP side!
For example: through no fault if his own, the Post Office may close this winter unless congress steps in!
You see? Another manufactured crisis that will hurt the president! A distraction from jobs!
Pray for some better luck! The odds are there!

Exactly. That’s how the Tea-O-P came into power 2010 and they have done nothing. PBO is getting ready thursday to shine a brighter spot light on the No-publicans. I hope he calls them out by name and tell the American people that there are jobs bills that the GOP will not go forward with and if he does not get one by the end of the month, he’s going ahead without them. There are things he can do, without the do nothing congress whose poll numbers are in the low 20’s. If PBO poll numbers are in the mid 40’s, that’s damned good to me considering the mess we are in.

The letter the President should have sent to the Speaker about his Thursday speech in front of the Joint session of Congress.

It figures it would come from Rachel Maddow’s blog. She seems to believe that damn Rhodes Scholarship means she is a presidential Chief of Staff. How can someone so smart be so goddamned ignorant.

I’m sick and tired of Rachel “playing” President from the comfort of her computer screen and comfy MSNBC studio. If she wants to be president, she should run, otherwise stop telling the President how to do his damn job and stick to her own job. I’m sure President Obama has lots of pointers on how she could do her own job better than she is currently doing. But he is too busy doing his job.

They are all paid to be jerks! Question: how did the president piss off all of DC? I dont get the hatred!

I guess he didn’t have cocktail parties at the White House or something.

        • September 6, 2011 at 8:46 am

He pissed them off by being so damn good and so right about their lack of skills. He called them out from the beginning. Said he never learns anything from cable. And as a candidate, he always stuck to HIS strategy no matter what they said. He ignored them as he should have. They hate it that he doesn’t bow to them.

I never watch Rachel anymore. She’s stupid. One issue voter. Childish. Unprofessional.

Because even they act like they hate him, they want his attention. The beltway wants to be invited to sit with him, “advise” him, have lunch with him, etc. Some in the CBC want to be at more White House events, state dinners, be invited to Camp David, be friends and insiders with FLOTUS (she’s not having it or plays political games). Congress members and their spouses want to be invited into the residence and see the Lincoln bedroom and stay in the Lincoln bedroom. The Obamas don’t play that and they recognize they will have everyone’s wrath because of it. I know it’s discouraging to see this media blitz but I’m encouraged to know that the President is not in the “in” crowd. He’s not your average politician. Though not perfect, he’s the best out there bar none, and they know it. His ground game is what will put him over the top. The DC beltway is in a bubble and have no contact with real folks. Yes, polls are down but considering everything the President has had to face, he’s doing pretty good. In a few weeks, he’ll be with the public more, campaigning will pick up. Even if people feel frustrated, they will see that he’s doing his best. If they don’t vote for him after all that, then the US loses…..the President and his family will be just fine.

P.S. These pundits are so immature. They make more money than most, six figures and others millions, and they act like their in high school with their cliques. POTUS can’t be bothered so they try to hit him where it hurts….he knows they are stupid and lazy and beneath him. Proud is right, he says he learns nothing by listening to them. People are desperate looking for work and they’re stuck on the speech date….really out of touch.

Good Morning Everyone. Back to work. Well it sounds like it Poll Tuesday so it will be all negative all day for our lazy, sloppy, irresponsible media. I got blocked by Jake Tapper on twitter….which means I was getting to him. It got me Fired Up. 🙂

Please folks, I would caution everyone here to take these negative polls with the appropriate amount of salt. Since the time of Bin Laden, when we were all basking in the positive polling for PBO, I predicted that the polls would become negative and REMAIN that way right through September 2012 because the media was going to turn extraordinarily aggressive in their attempts to take down the President. Much of this polling is propaganda and this far out from an election, it is easy for pollsters to manipulate the polls without suspicion in order to form a narrative and shape public opinion rather than report it.

We need to stop with the sky is falling attitude everytime we see a stupid poll mouthed breathlessly by one of those media Kochroaches. Plan on seeing more of these polls as time goes by. The swiftboating attempts will only get worse as time goes on. As you can see, despite all the media efforts to protect and assist their Republican friends, they are imploding on their own because they have no substance. Did any of you see a picture of Bachman’s audience as she was giving a speech yesterday? I couldn’t decide if they were bored or disgusted or both. Contrast that with a pic of PBO’s audience in Detroit. A picture is worth a million words and certainly tells a MUCH MUCH more accurate story of what is really going on than some slanted propoganda “poll.”

    • September 6, 2011 at 8:48 am

I agree. I put no stock in their polls. Love the timing. Comes out right before the Pres job speech designed to mk the public not listen to him. We are not fooled. We will keep working with the folks who matter, the voters on the ground.

I’ve got a big registration event this Saturday. Signing up Obamabots every chance I get.

I don’t listen to the negative. I come here where everyone supports the president and working hard for him to get re-elected. It’s too early to be poll watching because it will go up and down depending upon what is happening and the faux crisis that the msm will create.

  11. September 6, 2011 at 8:48 am

I do like this plan: Obama is going to Richmond, Va. on Fri., the day after his speech, Eric Cantor’s district, to rally support for his plan. This is the 1st of many such visits planned, going directly to the American people, around the media. I also like the “country over party” theme, think it’s a winner, drive it home.

Eric is a complete, total, and utter ass but this district is tailor made and drawn up for him or any other teapublican 👿 . The city magazine had him on the cover as one of the “most annoying” things about Richmond, but that doesn’t keep him and his dye job and big ass teeth from prancing around like he’s God’s gift to mankind.
