mission accomplished

Rochester patch: A Reuther Middle Schooler will have quite the what-I-did-this-summer story to tell when she starts back to school on Tuesday.

On Monday, Lilly Arbour completed a 17-month quest to meet all 115 of her elected officials when she spent a few minutes backstage with President Barack Obama, who visited Detroit for Labor Day….

I bet he indoctrinated her and made her join his brown shirt army.

    Seriously, good for her. 🙂

I so love President Obama’s handwriting.

Awesome! Way to go Lilly! Cherish this time in your life and remember how it felt to accomplish this goal. Keep it in your heart and use it whenever you’re tempted to feel discouraged. You can achieve anything!

Plus this ought to get you some major bonus point in Civics class! 🙂

What child would dream that they could meet the President in person and get his help accomplishing a personal goal, just for the sake of actually accomplishing a personal goal? This was a small thing for the President, and only took him a few seconds or minutes. But, this one act will inspire many children and adults that daring to “dream big dreams” can lead to success, no matter how outlandish the goal – especially when one looks at the incredible road this historic President has already travelled. This is incredible and such a great way to end a good day.

I am watching a repeat of Piers Morgan interviewing Hill Harper. Hill was great. He deflected a bunch of stupid questions Piers asked him and spoke well and honest about his friendship with President Barack Obama.

Thanks so much for this Jojo. I’m watching it and Hill Harper is AMAZING not to mention incredibly SEXY! He went toe to toe with that hack Piers Morgan who tried to sell the meme that PBO is losing and a loser and Hill should be disappointed in him as a friend and as an African-American. What the hell?!!! Seriously!!! Hill didn’t stand for it. He cited the accomplishments of PBO and said those who mock him for his “leading from behind” strategy or call him a loser do so at their own peril. He said PBO is a FIGHTER and just as he believed in him 2008, he still believes that this country needs PBO for another term. Everytime Morgan tried to peddle one lie or another, Hill just cut him off with that smile and his voice and just defended PBO with facts, facts, and more FACTS. I’m sending Hill Harper a tweet of thanks. He was great.

CNN might repeat it later tonight. Check you local station. Utaustinliberal was right on about Hill. He was amazing and he did it in a polite respectful way. Not like Christine O’Donnell who can’t hold her own in a paper bag, storms off the set because she can’t deflect stupid questions without getting nasty.

She’s probably hard off for money as well. I wonder if she can make it to the Iowa caucuses even. Seems her supporters are all flocking to Perry, which many expected.

I just hope Perry and Romney go hard at each other, I have a feeling they might be the eventual ticket, and they’ll hold their fire at each other.

CNN did a wrap up of the days activities. It looks like Rick Perry is going after Mitt Romney about his job creation claims in Massachusetts.

Obama rallies union supporters on Labor Day
        ==================================

Perry was also slated to take part in DeMint’s forum but backed out Monday morning to return to Texas as it battles growing wildfires.

Perry did, however, participate in GOP Rep. Tim Scott’s town hall series in Conway, South Carolina, before returning home.

While in Conway, Perry sharply criticized Romney’s job growth record in Massachusetts.

“There’s one (GOP candidate) … that’s created jobs all over the world,” Perry said, referring to Romney’s oft-mentioned record in the private sector. “But while he was the governor of Massachusetts, he didn’t create very many jobs.

“We cannot choose a nominee … that is going to blur the lines,” Perry added. The GOP needs “someone who has a very stark difference (with) the president of the United States … and I would suggest to you I’m that person.”

I like the “blur the lines” quote from Perry – that could be a go-to attack to frame Romney. It will go to the “Who is the real Romney/Can you trust Romney” meme.

They won’t go hard at each other. The probably already agreed to be soft so they can hook up on the same ticket. Whomever is the nominee will invite the other and the Teathug machine will be off to the races. 😯

Hill Harper was just on Piers Morgan and Hill had amazing things to say about the President.

Piers looked so stupid trying to turn and twist what Hill was saying but Hill came out looking like the only adult in the room.
You could tell that he definitely had the President’s back.

I just tweeted Piers Morgan and told him that he reminded me tonight why i stopped watching CNN . Told him to move to FOX.

    • September 5, 2011 at 9:42 pm

I was just telling my mom that he should move over to FOX.

He has the one trait that all the so called interviewers on FOX has… not allowing people to finish their answers. And then had the gall to tell Hill “Let me finish”.

At that point I was really mad. But you got to hand it to Hill. He has a very good temperament and self control.

No wonder he’s been the President’s friend for more than 20 years.

Everyone has got to watch Hill Harper’s (the actor from CSI: New York) appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight. He’s been a friend of President Obama for 20+ years and he was great. He didn’t give Piers an inch and refuted the msm BS narrative that PBO is weak or a loser and hasn’t erradicated poverty, yadi yada yah. Hill defended President Obama with facts, truth, facts, and more truth. The show re-airs at 12PM EDT/11PM CDT/9PM PDT on CNN. It was BRILLIANT! and Hill is getting mucho mucho love, thanks, and appreciation on twitter.

Piers Morgan is an unapologetic homophobe. Anyone who’s spent more than 20 minutes watching him — whether on CNN or judging on America’s Got Talent — can see for themselves.
