news you may have missed….

Thank you Donna Dem – as she said: “The national networks didn’t cover the jobs protests against republicans like they did the republican teaparty townhalls two years ago, but they happened none the less.”

    Thanks Chips,

Eveyone please share this video on twitter and facebook and everywhere you visit. We have to be our own media

Thanks for this Donna. It is so reassuring to see that ‘the people are’ speaking out. 😆

“The national networks didn’t cover the job protests against republicans….” ‘We have to be our own media.’ These words actually tie in very nicely with a point raised by Zizi in the previous thread.

Ms Chips, Zizi’s post is well worth sharing in a thread of its own. Pretty please with …… (fill in the blank). 😉

I read or heard somewhere this week that in 2008 The Obama Campaign had 8 MILLION volunteers on the ground for his election. In 2010 we had 300,000. This is just more evidence as Zizi said that we did not build on the foundation that was put into place in 08 by this historical campaign. Far too many Liberals/Progressives rubbed their hands together and said the job was done…now its up to the President to do the rest. She nailed it about building the structure to effect change and too many of this Presidents supporters went to sleep after January 2009.

        • September 3, 2011 at 2:31 pm

Yes and a lot of them continue to attack OFA as if OFA was built for them to use at their disposal while they just sit home and watch.

        • September 3, 2011 at 4:50 pm

And, you’d think that all those people who sat our 2010 like that would be a little more concerned right now and get involved again. Well, I hope they do, but certainly some of the more vocal ones are still acting like cry babies.

Watching these clips of protests gives me hope again. I’m very glad I finally got onto this site. Kos is way too depressing.

Well, actually the people who didn’t vote in 2010 were the same people who don’t vote in any midterm–mostly young people and, sad to say, many minorities. They just don’t vote in large numbers in midterm elections. Never have. The emoprogs didn’t really influence that election as much as they, or we, thought.

The difference in 2010 was that the other side was massively motivated, and our side was just normal.

But 2012 is a presidential year, so we’ll get the young people and minorities back.

            • September 3, 2011 at 5:46 pm

Yeah, that’s a good point. I just hope they all realize the huge difference that has taken place since they opted to sit out 2010 and the Tea Party has taken over our Congress. And I hope they decide to get involved this time.

Yes, but if you tell the left-baggers that, they will say “Exit polling shows liberals showed up to vote, just more conservatives turned out. Liberals didn’t sit it out, blah, blah, blah . . .”

I would love to have a link to the 8 million number vs. 300,000 number. I would just counter their tired BS with that info every time.

Thanks Chips and Donna. I even sent this to Rev Al, who knows, sure as hell doesn’t hurt to try. Maybe even Ed, why not? He’s supposedly all about jobs. Due to health crap, I have a hard time leaving the house but I have to help anyway I can. Even though it’s credited to Tip, it was actually his father that said “all politics is local.”

  2. September 3, 2011 at 12:42 pm

I noticed very scant coverage of the protest town halls this Aug. compared to last Aug. when every news outlet showcased the tea party protests. There may have been a snippet on p. 13 in the newspapers but nothing on TV news. No lead stories like last year. Wonder what the difference is this year. hmmmmmmm. Also I just noted that CNN said they will be covering Palin’s tea party appearance today—live and in its entirety. Funny, I don’t remember CNN covering the President of the United States as he held significant town halls across the Midwest recently. You would think those would be more important than airing a grifter governor drop out who is not even a presidential candidate appear before toothless wonders to bash our president. Strange and disturbing priorities.

come on now Dots my dear;you didn’t really expect the so-called “liberal” media who are complacent with them to show those Americans who are (finally) waking-up to what the Teahadists are doing to our Country to be shown on tv now did you ? 🙄 😉

The TEA Party is guaranteed coverage by the MSM. No matter what. One of the major TEA Party heads gave a speech in DC for some TEA Party event back in the spring and the only people there to listen were media members covering it. It was pathetic. The TEA Party is nothing more than an astroturf movement cooked up by extreme elements within the GOP.

Thank you Chips, for this video and thank God for local news coverage. We would never see this on national news programs but most people do watch their local news. We aren’t as uninformed as the MSM would like everyone to believe.

This video is part of the rebuild the dream movement or american dream movement I have been talking about. I ask that each of you go to this website http://www.rebuildthe dream.com and sign the petition that supports the “Contract for the American Dream”. I ask that you also consider joining in one of these protests. To do that go to MovOn.org, scroll down to the bottom of the front page and enter your zip code, it will tell you of the nearest group near you.

There are several videos like the one Donna posted, I am collecting them at my blog. How cool would it be for a us to run a video like this one everyday. I will send more info when I have my page of republican protests finished.

Hi barb, I’m in. I’ve been donating and making calls for OFA at phone banks and on line since 2008, and I don’t intend to stop. I was at a phone bank on thursday night making call into a close by congressional district that has a republican congressman. We were calling seniors to call their congressman, that voted three times to end medicare, and tell him to leave their medicare alone. I doubt he’s going to listen, but it gets the message out what the republicans are doing.

Last week I reduced my remaining working hours to just one shift per week so I can spend more time working with OFA, Together we will prevail. Thank you again for all your support and energy. I just got a message from the Chairperson of the Maryland Democratic Party on Facebook.

She posted this link and prefaced it with this quote: “For all who support the President but think he should get angrier. His cool is his power. He must never lose it.” (Wow I thought that was powerful so I just tweeted her quote)

Totally agree… PBO is centered, IMO, he is heart-centered. So many of us who understand this, also work from a balanced, sane, compassionate place in our hearts. Haters do not know of this dimension, sadly, many of our so-called ‘leaders’ do know hve the experience of living from this center. President Obama does not have time to waste energy being ‘angry’, even for show. Nothing he does is for ‘show’. He is the real deal, he is here to get the work done, and he knows no one can get there alone. He is an astonishing example of the finest attitude a human being can reach and share. It is who he is.

    • September 3, 2011 at 1:23 pm

Indeed, Donna. I saw that on twitter and retweeted it.

Also, yesterday I was talking to a friend about something totally different, but she told me about this quote and I loved it so much, I tweeted it.

“SHALLOW BROOKS ARE NOISY” — Unlike the constant noise we hear daily, that is definitely NOT PBO.

Back home, the old folks used to tell us: If listen to the noise in the market, you will never get anything done.

      September 3, 2011 at 1:45 pm

This is wonderful to hear. PBO goes along doing his job and has been more successful than any other since LBJ, yet the “angry” tough talking Presidents did not accomplish very much.

    • September 3, 2011 at 2:32 pm

      They are exactly right.

    • September 3, 2011 at 4:21 pm

Thank you for that tweet from Maryland, donna dem 4 obama! I’m in the camp that President Obama should be himself.

Weird things start to happen when we try to be something we’re not. President Obama is a brilliant, courageous, compassionate person and he has his own unique way of getting things done in spite of the raging opposition. He and his Admin are coming up with other ways to get things accomplished in the face of those who don’t want any good news for our country.

One thing that is important about town halls, there are other people there to reinforce the points being made and to make the representative answers the questions. When I call my GOP freshman rep, which i do regularly and will continue to do, I am alone in the activity. As I watched this film I longed for the ability to state the same things out loud with a group of people in attendance and let them hear the answers and my response to those answers. Our rep held no town halls this summer that I could find.

      • 47 jacquelineoboomer
        September 3, 2011 at 5:10 pm

Next time Congress takes a vacation to “go back home and speak with constituents,” maybe voters should hold their own town halls … invite their Rep and Senators, and the media, and bring a camera to record it … and see what happens. I’m sure a nice Democrat in each community would lend a meeting space.

I sent this to the Sierra Club yesterday, the subject heading on the message was Breaking: Obama’s Big Mistake
I have grown weary of EVERYONE bashing the president, the Right, the Left, the professional LEFT, the TEA party, the Independents, everyone is just vicious and cruel, not to mention Cornel West, Congressional Black Caucus ….it’s all too much. Everyone is just pointing their finger trying to instruct President Obama how to lead with the recalcitrant republicans, everyone has their hand out, everyone wants his exclusive attention, it’s revolting.

Here is my email I sent to the Sierra Club…..

“i have requested to be removed from Sierra Club’s mailing list. i am not sure why i am still receiving messages. i think this president is incredibly receptive to environmental causes and i think that bashing him and encouraging your membership to express their rage is a critical misstep. we need more civility and respect in this society especially amid the vitriolic hazardous poltical climate of late. thanks for promptly removing me from your list many thanks”

I have the same reaction when an organization triangulates with the President. I don’t think they have caught on yet that many people are feeling this way and that they must take that into consideration before they put out their information.

    • 50 LunarSea
      September 3, 2011 at 6:26 pm

I too have the same reaction, but we really should think things through before acting and not just act on instinct. As a member you have a voice on their sites, publications and polls that you wouldn’t have otherwise.

Heck I’m seriously considering joining the NRA just to get on the inside. That way I’d know what they are saying and doing and can voice my opinion. After all, that’s how the opposition does it.

      So yeah, think about it.

      September 3, 2011 at 7:22 pm

Well done DreamChaser57! They really need to be told the truth. They are undermining a President who, in my opinion, has done so much for the environment. I am sorry to say, but the Sierra Club is dominated by privileged well to do people who are solely concerned with just one issue. The President has to deal with a whole host of complicated and conflicting issues that can only be resolved through meaningful compromises.

      • 53 Aquagranny911
        September 4, 2011 at 12:00 am

Agreed and they have gotten so strident and unyielding on some issues here in AZ that no one will listen to them anymore even on important issues like mining. If they were willing to listen and have dialogue with farmers and ranchers instead of treating these people like enemies, they might have more success. It’s sad but Sierra Club has become a dirty word here because they have been so arrogant.

  8. September 3, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Thank you Donna Dem and Chips!! This is wonderful to see. Now if we can see this plastered all over the MSM in general we might see something happen when the president gives his joint address to the prepubescent Republicans in Congress who are more concerned with shooting down our president than doing anything at all to help the country’s economy.

What would we do without this group here? You’re all wonderful.

Time to push back against media values. Time also to talk about values: do we believe in a government that looks out for the people, by the people? Do we believe in equality of opportunity, justice, caring for one another? Do we believe in a social safety net, specifically social security, medicare, medicaid? Do we believe that everyone’s vote counts?

I wonder when and how the corporate heads of the major MSM’s will be brought to task?

    • 62 donna dem 4 obama
      September 3, 2011 at 1:52 pm

It will only happen when We The People get fed up enough. When that bozo (sorry but that is how I feel about him) Keith Olbermann got suspended from MSNBC for not disclosing donations to Dems his supporters made over 300,000 phone calls to that network and the Corp. heads relented and Keith was put back on the air within a day or two. That’s the power we have but people haven’t gotten pissed off enough yet to force the Corp Owned Media to be held accountable for their bias, lazy, sloppy, irresponsible “reporting” .

We tell ourselves that we don’t need the media but the hard cold reality is that they are the window into society and the public will always tune it to try and get a glimpse of what is happening in our world. They will either be informed or misinformed. For this Presidency it has leaned heavily to the misinformed side of things.

    • September 3, 2011 at 1:55 pm

The internet. 80% of the US Population is on the internet. That’s roughly 250M people than can be reached without the MSM corporate filters. We all have email lists, facebook pages and twitter followers that we know personally and thus know the best way to engage them politically without turning them off.

Thanks to all who contributed the videos of the various nation-wide protests against the job-killing repubs. Just as social media was a great tool in the liberation of the people of North Africa and the Middle East, it is, and will be a major weapon in re–electing PBO and getting more Dems in congress. These videos can also be a comfort to those who feel despair or frustration; there is action going on all over the country even if we are not aware of it all of the time.
I have begun educating my 12th grade students regarding media bias and where and how to find real information about what is going on in our state and nation so that they are well-informed new voters (already talking to them about being registered voters).

In a campaign supported by the Koch brothers, Republicans are working to prevent millions of Democrats from voting next year
    http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-gop-war-on-voting-20110830

And it’s obvious that we have our work cut out….These republicans, will use any trick in the book and then some, to make sure PBO is not re-elected, they know that once he gets 4 more years, He will be fearless, unstoppable, This man..put a lot of political capitol at risk by passing the most sweeping legislation in history, He did, when it was unpopular he rushed it through like he knew that the obstructionist we have today would be “impossible” to pass…and he did in just 2 years…He’s vision has always been for long run.
Forget the noise…..Distractions….and work harder to re-elect him…We need him, This country and the world needs him.
We are ready to take this country back as we envision our children to live in a place of democracy and not hate and divsion.

I don’t remember a single time that PBO had positive media. He survived relentless attacks and endless “Rev. Wright” on a loop efforts to marginalize and destroy him. He rose above these attacks and showed in his character that he was not the demon the press was trying so hard to portray him as. He was not the “other,” he was one of us. PBO had a gruelling primary fight that cost lots of money and used up a lot of human resources on the ground. At the end of the primary, his senior organizers said they learned a lot and would do better in the general. In the general, the organization was tighter, the chief activists on the ground were more experienced and the whole operation ran more smoothly. They learned and they grew. This time the President said it would be harder. So they started earlier, they’ve begun the fundraising that they can dedicate to the general because there won’t be a primary battle. They are, according to a friend inside in the Chicago OFA headquarters, twice as many as the last time, with far more resources and starting months earlier. They are highly trained, battle-hardened veterans (the Navy Seals of organizing) who know every nuance of everything that is going on in each state. All across the country the organizing schools are getting started, the groups are growing. A quiet army is building way under the radar of the msm. The media see all the shining objects on the right side, but the real light is growing on the president’s side. I believe we will see millions and millions on the ground in 2012 and they will be better trained and more committed than ever. They will understand the ugly, stark contrast between our president and the truly horrific candidates on the right and they will work til they drop.

Each state is going to have to train an election protection army to observe every single poll in America. We have to know the election laws cold and we have to overcome them. PBO won’t be stopped and neither will we. We have a leader who engages our whole heart. They have leaders who engage only their hate.

These two sentences are crucial insights:

“They will understand the ugly, stark contrast between our president and the truly horrific candidates on the right and they will work til they drop.

Each state is going to have to train an election protection army to observe every single poll in America.”

      Jackie,

Thanks for your insight and your eloquence.
I have posted a few times on different threads that what will ultimately matter in 2012 like it did in 2008, is the ground game…and frankly,I have not seen anyone with better grassroots game than PBO. This is not to say we will be complacent….we will work even harder this time knowing what and who we’re against (baggers of the T and F stripes, MSM,CBC etc). Jimmy Cliffs classic reggae song ‘the harder they come, the harder they fall’ comes to mind.

I saw that jobs protests video via a twitter link earlier and was thinking the same as everyone here. Why are we not hearing about this in the national media like we did all those anti-HCR focused meetings? But we all know the answer so yeah, that WAS a rhetorical question.

The irony of all this is they taught us how to act at these meetings and now that the shoe is on the other foot, they can’t handle it. Kinda funny, no? Run and hide little piggies!

Make no doubt about it, jobs have become the voters’ rallying cry of 2012. In 2000 many different factions of the conservative movement -who otherwise had nothing to do with each other- came together under the single social issue of abortion rights. It brought them out in droves and gave them a handy win.

American worker’s rights and jobs will be the unifying issue in 2012. It will bring together different factions within the Dem party, as well as others that may not normally have anything to do with the Dem party. I think they know this and that is why we are seeing all the voter fraud under republican rulers. It’s the only way they can win this time, so it is imperative that we inform people of changes in voter reg and do everything we can to GOTV!

In their ostentatious steadfastness to denying this president any victory, they have unwittingly delivered the votes needed for his re-election.

I love the smell of a good irony in the afternoon (^..^)

Not to bring up the CBC again, but … Just watched the recording of the MLK Memorial Dedication dinner from a week ago. At the start of my recording, C-Span was interviewing Chairman Cleaver. He referred to the townhall in Detroit, which the CBC (including Rep. Maxine Waters) participated in, a while back. This is totally paraphrased, but he said during the townhall, when everyone was asking them (read: putting them on the spot) about jobs and saying they should ask PBO (ho hum) to do something or other about unemployment, especially in these hard-hit metropolitan areas, they told the crowd they didn’t want to look among the AA community as though they were bashing the President, but if the crowd released them to do so, they would apply pressure (ho hum) on PBO. Something like that.

So, when confronted by voters about why the CBC “and PBO” (I haven’t seen the video of the townhall) didn’t have any plans they had executed for job creation, the starry-eyed, deer-in-the-headlights-looking members of the CBC immediately came up with the answer that they would have given their recommendations to the President, but they didn’t want to appear to be bashing him. This is so far fetched, I can hardly stand it.

    1. They each have a responsibility to their own constituents to work for them, no matter who is President.

    2. I’m not buying the implication that because there’s a President who happens to be black, anything they do individually for their districts would look like Obama bashing. Huh? How’s that for convoluted logic from the CBC.

    3. I guess maybe Chairman Cleaver could legitimately have felt this way. But then, after what he says is the “release” from the townhall participants to more or less go after PBO, he goes straight to the media to go after PBO. Couldn’t he pick up the phone and call President Obama at the White House, and ask for a meeting to talk strategy? Have they sent their recommendations to the President, in any case, after that townhall?

Well said LunarSea! Oh the wisdom of mothers! And in my case my grandmother who always taught us that if we had nothing good to say about a person it was best not to say anything. May be members of the CBC will take time to examine their own actions and records, and especially those members who have been in Congress for decades, to see how well they’ve been serving their constituents, instead of seeking permission to be unleashed to attack the President.

I hear lots of great suggestions on how we move the ball forward come 2012 and if I may add another:

Find out what voting laws have changed in your state and please add this info to the comments sections on your local news sites. Also send the info directly to your news contacts.. Finally write, call, twitter the major news outlets with the info and ask them why they are not reporting something so fundamental to our society.

Feeling a little blurry getting started? WiW has a great list of media contacts and you can visit FAIR at http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=111 for more contact info, or join the concerted efforts of FAIR to receive alerts of actions to take at http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=6

It will take all of us coming together to fight back. I understand and appreciate that some prefer knocking on doors or making calls or signing people up, but that for any number of reasons that is not doable for others. But a quick post in your local paper or phone call or letter to news org can be done from the privacy of your home with little or no effort and will make a world of difference.

    Thanks for all your efforts.

Just saw your post soliciting comments. I read it before and it was amazing. Wanted to gag at the cynical nature of their actions. Of course this pinpoints quite accurately the RW agenda. What is so upsetting is the way it was so planned out so long ago, how closely they’ve stuck to the plan and how well it’s working.

Could you imagine? That is some serious treasonous behavior and it leaves me speechless.

I think they did leave out 1 really crucial element in their plan however: us. The electorate!

      • September 3, 2011 at 9:21 pm

Agree. That part about planning out so long ago and how they’ve stuck to the plan was not new for me. I read two of John Dean’s books last year and that is one the main points he returns to numerous times in both books. He gives many examples and has each well documented. He points out their SOP and that it has been that way for many years; how they have perfected it. How they create crisis and/or chaos when a Dem is in the WH, convince the people they can do a better job, get in, then have NO desire or motivation or knowledge of how to govern, screw things up so badly the people elect a Dem again and things are in such a mess–as now–then they start their crisis and chaos all over again.

Don’t know if any of you heard Ron Reagan yesterday make the point that the GOP believes that NO Democrat has any right to the WH…..that that right is ONLY for a Republican and this time, their disrespect is even greater because this Democrat is black.

        • 144 FTL
          September 3, 2011 at 9:34 pm

That was a very disturbing article but I am not surprised. I just justifies all the things I have heard in my community(African-American) for years about republicans. I can see why my granddaddy kept saying that “they” will never allow PBO to be elected. Well he said it up until the moment he was elected. All I have to say is they will not succeed. Look at Germany and these other countries that had this type of issue. They were eventually thrown out. I just hope that the damange that was done in those other countries is not done here. Just like most people with any kind of sense does not want to be called a Nazi are said to be part of the KKK it looks as if in the future, hopefully the very very very near future, no one will want to be called a republican. My Pastor gave a sermon once that said PBO was elected for such a time as this. Now I know why he was because he is a fighter. We need to fight with him. We all need to do what we can. I do believe we will come out of this better. This is a transitional time just like the Civil War Era and the 60’s. Transition is always hard.

          • September 3, 2011 at 10:01 pm

I think you make a good point about this being a transitional time for our country and yes, it is difficult. PO told us many times it would be.

I am saying goodnight…..going to listen to ‘my’ Tennessee Vols. Winning at this point 35-9 near end of 3rd quarter.

        • 146 LunarSea
          September 3, 2011 at 9:35 pm

It is amazing. And no I didn’t hear Ron Reagan say that, but I have heard it said numerous times, that they believe they are the entitled ones. And I agree they have done it to all Dem presidents including Carter and, well, we know how far they went with Kennedy.

But as you noted it is even more pervasive this time around because there is a black/white man holding that position they feel they are entitled to. Altho they would attack any dems with the same ruthlessness and toward the same end, it has allowed them to really gin up the darkest reaches of the extreme fringe dwellers to really gum things up.

They are such screw-ups when they do regain power that I am at a loss as to why ppl keep falling for the same schtick

TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SPOKEN, THIS IS THE CRUX OF THE MATTER AND OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM FOR 2012:

Ron Reagan yesterday make the point that the GOP believes that NO Democrat has any right to the WH…

AND THE IMPORTANT POINT TO REMEMBER IS THIS:

The only time there is VOTER FRAUD is when the VOTE IS NOT FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

The Rolling Stone article by Ari Berman entitled “THE GOP WAR ON VOTING” needs to be required reading for every American. The Republican Party continues to make a mockery of our democracy. First they have to be EXPOSED, then they have to be STOPPED. And it is ironic that it is going to take Attorney General Eric Holder of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to stop the Republican (anti-government) Party from stealing the 2012 election. The Civil Rights Division will be guaranteed full employment because they are going to have a lot of work to do to clean up the GOP systematic attempt to disenfranchise voters.

    • September 3, 2011 at 10:13 pm

Just looking at all the people reminds me that we are America: diverse, young, old, every race, committed to the vision of what America can be. We cannot let the media and the GOP cynicism dampen our enthusiasm and our belief that we can perfect this union. In the same way that our ancestors fought for better working conditions, for equality and justice, the right to vote, we can continue in that hallowed tradition and fight in every way we can to honor their sacrifice and reclaim a future that we can all believe in.

The PL really has lost there minds, they are basically begging for Prez Perry. As I recall prez Obama did say this bs with the republicans was going to happen and what was the PL solution? I think that was me (bardgal) on HP – I got in that exact dick dance over there (I hate when I get sucked in to the vile cess pool) about the EPA and linked the POTUS statement, then they said, “Liar” and linked “proof” with a link to FDL – to which I said, ‘ jane is backed by norquist”, and linked Chips’ awesome long proof thesis on that…..

      yeah, that was me.

no fucking idea why I still even go there.

Tally, I trully admire your courage! That site is really a despicable “cess pool”. I stopped long time from clicking or commenting there. Nevertheless, I am glad that you took the fight to them in order to expose the TRUTH. Lets hope your truth telling reached a few innocent people who may not have known that they are being misled by Jane (norquist’s buddy) and all the vocal firebaggers.

That what kills me sometimes why do they believe that yelling and screaming accomplishes anything? They love bring up harry Truman but Truman did not get the stuff he wanted and we all know he loved humiliating congress.

The whole Sunday lineup is a hit job on the president. Just one individual after another, including Maxine waters on MTP:

Wow. I gotta say, DC hates the president! The powers that be-want him gone! Scary stuff!

Likely done because they feel they need to balance things out because the networks are giving the President an hour on Thursday evening.

This is alot of B.S. from the media and Boner. When did Boner decided to give a job speech, when President Obama decided too. What a jackass Speaker Boner is.

Nah! Sorry to disagree with you StR. This is the MO of DC Sunday talk shows ever since President Obama was elected. Steve Benen at WM has ably documented how the Sunday shows always book more anti-Obama Republicans. They did exactly the opposite during George Bush’s presidency and justified that by claiming that they wanted to hear more from the party in power and that is why they booked more Republicans than Democrats. Then When Democrats were in power, the MSM switched they justification for booking more Republicans than Democrats by claiming that they wanted balance to counter the Democrats. Interestingly the favorite Democrat booked by Sunday shows was none other than Joe Lieberman who supported Bush. He is still a favorite so long as he is out bashing President Obama. In the case of President Obama, It’s not just that there are more Republicans booked for the Sunday shows. In most instances, though not always, Democrats who are likely to get the invites for the MSM Sunday shows are those who bash the President. May be that’s why they chose Maxine Waters. I seriously doubt that she would have been chosen if she were a solid supporter of the President. I don’t ever remember her being chosen during either the Clinton or the Bush Presidency even though she has been in Congress for a very long time. So Why now? Bottom line: I am with Jovie on this one: the MSM media hate President Obama. “The powers that be-want him gone!”

There’s nothing scary about it. We all knew this from day 1. Read Hopefruit2’s post from yesterday http://theobamadiary.com/2011/09/03/weekly-address-9/#comment-108132 and check out the video of the jobs protest. They’re the ones who are scared because the President is winning and his message is resonating. Also keep in mind that truth to tell only us political junkies are tuning into these Sunday morning talking heads. The overwhelming super majority of the country is watching anything but.
