Thanks for Pete. At first, I thought it might have been Mitt, lurking

He looks so different with that helmet on his head! Couldn’t someone invent a helmet that is both protective and not ugly?

What a troopher, all for the cause….he is a genuis with the camera. As someone suggested here, any book he publishes post Presidency should earn him bukoo awards and accomodations.

Sue, don’t you know the original story of the inventor of the helmet? His girlfriend broke up with him, so he decided to punish all women by inventing a safe but ugly contraption that leaves women with “helmet hair.” It’s the eternal middle finger from one man to women all over the world. 😉

ps: Pete Souza looks cute with all his gear. The snapper extraordinaire is now the snapee.

Lisa, are you going to add him to your list too! Leave some for the rest of us (I need an old timer…just saw I am a senior citizen on an internet ad,dvertising single men in their 50’s—-made my head snap back…how did they know that’s just what I need.:D It is amazing, at least to me, how we in our hearts and minds can remain forever young….of course it helps my thinking if I steer away from mirrors 😉

          • August 23, 2011 at 6:20 pm

Amen, Sue! I’m willing to share Pete. He’s someone you just can’t hog, he’s too awesome. 🙂
ps- Sue, I have a feeling you’re a beautiful woman who any man would be lucky to know.

        • August 23, 2011 at 4:36 pm

IMO he looks more cuddly than cute – just saying. 😉

Oh that figures, actually I took a second look , and I do (seriously) think he looks good in his helmet. He’ll have to worry about his hair later.

Does Pete ever get a day off? The President and his inner circle, his SS and Pete never get a rest do they?

I must disagree. The ‘eternal middle finger from one man to women all over the world” has GOT to be pantyhose!! I stopped wearing them in high school! 😆 😆 😆

Hahahahaha 😆 😆 😆 good one isonprize. I can do you one better. The eternal middle finger from one man to women all over the world has got to be PMS! I know some people may say men have nothing to do with PMS… but for some weird reason whenever I have PMS I get super bitchy and I mean SUPER bitchy at all men; especially my male friends. So yes, it is 100% their fault. 😆 😆

But they think it’s all in your head, can’t see it does not compute. I could feel my aggression being dialed up….like the volume on the radio.
Don’t miss those days, and have much sympathy for those who have to muddle through……and for all men in their immediate vicinity 😯

              So funny Sue…

I shedule all my meetings and human interaction around my period…

I absolutely do believe that something does take over a woman’s brain at that time…

I bet we could actually get quite a list going…..I’m in your camp with the pantyhose. I used to say woman should get a tax break for being required to wear them on the job. I’ld like all that money back….long legged and never meet a desk that didn’t ruin my hose, and was always worried that I’ld get tripped up with the crotch that stopped a foot below my own. Ladies, does anyone recognize the problem?.

          • August 23, 2011 at 4:44 pm

Nothing is more stressing when those suckers begin to roll down.

I am with you Sue and Sonjia. Do not wear them anymore. Put the cocoa butter on and strut the legs. Try it ladies. See how beautiful our First Lady does it. She spoke briefly about them some time back when she was on The View. I think, if you have beautiful long or short legs polish them with that cocoa butter and move them. Just me being me.

This has me giggling so hard. If and when I had a pair where the legs were long enough, than the panty part went damn near up to my armpits….so I know all about the “roll” you are referring to, mine just kept rolling and rolling. And they were so nasty hot, did you ever suffer from itchy butt syndrome?

Honestly, they are a form of torture, which is banned under the protocols of the Geneva Convention. Wonder what the statutes of limitations are on torture?

Thank god those days are over, I stick to pants…I developed a hatred of high heels along with the pantyhose. But HZ ….you go with your bad self….I like that you are strutting your stuff.

    • August 23, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Sorry Sue. The helmets are made for duty not beauty!

I hope Pete is having a good time. Someone should follow him around one day just to see all that he does to get those great shots. I volunteer for one day only.

CNN is reporting that President Obama will make a statement soon about the earthquake. Don’t know if it will be video/audio/written.

I’m addicted to his pics of our beautiful first family. I wonder who is snapping the snapper? 🙂

I am also Angela. However, the DVD that was done on ‘The President’s Photographer’ by National Geographic and narrated by Morgan Freeman states and shows two of Pete’s assistants, so maybe one is on this trip with him as well. Like Pete on that bike, though. We have a very cool WH. Really, following the First Lady’s great encourgement: Let’s Move. Do tell us our WH does not practice what they state to the American people. The President’s photographer getting his exercise while doing his job. Eat you hearts our opposition ones.

I also thought it was Mitt…..Pete is like a part of the Obama Family afterall he goes anywhere they go! What an exciting job. Hope it feels like vacation for him also. Have lots of fun Pete!

Jeez – love Pete’s pics but when does he get to go on his own vacation? People who work for and cover the white house give up quite a bit. I can see why it is hard to make it through an entire term. Oh well….in the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying the pics.
