Christie, click on the youtube icon at the bottom right of the screen and go there to view the videos. WordPress may be blocking you for some reason.

Hi ChristiMtl, can you not see YouTube videos either? I thought it was just the Videopress videos you were having problems with (like the one here: http://theobamadiary.com/2011/08/22/an-interesting-man/)?

Could you try clearing your browser’s cache – see here:

WordPress’s support page (http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/) suggests clearing caches as one possible solution:

If you are experiencing problems displaying WordPress.com pages, clearing the browser cache is a good first step to try to resolve the issue. If that doesn’t help, you should also try clearing the browser cookies. Instructions for clearing cache and cookies are different for each browser and version. Google has outlined the steps for all major browsers – see here:

Let me know if you have any success.

Christi, have you updated your computer lately? I had trouble with music videos and then random videos until Alan came in here and asked me about an update alert that I’d been seeing for months. He updated and the problem magically disappeared. You may not have update alerts (I hate to update and routinely ignore them), so perhaps you could see if one is ready for you? You said you used firefox, right?

I really hope Elizabeth Warren runs for the late Sen. Kennedy seat.

Campaigns against Brown need to focus on his votes when he was the deciding 60th vote – because when he was that he voted lock step with the Republican Party and it might have well have been Jim DeMint as Massachusetts Senator.

The eventual candidate will have to nationalize this election, Brown is likable enough and he’s voting smarter now that the House can kill bills, or he knows bills are going no where.

But make this about the majority in the Senate, about blue Massachusetts voting for Sen. McConnell to be Senate Majority Leader, make it less about Brown. Make it about the Ryan Budget and Cut, Cap and Balance, even if Brown only voted for the latter – the Republican Party voted for both en masse, and Brown has shown he will not stand against his party.

Juxtapose his campaign commercials about his truck with him schmoozing Charles Koch for donations and help. Juxtapose his special election campaign commercials with his corporate donor lists which is a bankster who’s who.

Is it true that watching embedded vids don’t count as “views” on the video’s counter?

    This is cool!

Obama to join unions’ Labor Day festivities in Detroit
President Barack Obama will join thousands of union members at Labor Day festivities in Detroit.

Obama will deliver remarks at a Labor Day event sponsored by the Metro Detroit Central Labor Council, the White House announced today.

Metro Detroit AFL-CIO President Saundra Williams said Obama’s visit will likely mean there could be more than 100,000 people participating in the Labor Day parade and its associated activities. The typical crowd each year is 50,000 to 60,000, she said.

“We’re always ready for the president to join us, and we’re very pleased that he’s coming this year,” Williams said.

I’d heard he would be giving his major jobs speed in Detroit, but maybe that event got confused with this one?

I think the Dems are getting much smarter about messaging and rapid response. The quick ads they’re developing are sharp and to the point and they’ve got a great cadre of messengers with Axelrod, Giibbs, Plouffe and Wasserman-Schultz. They also know that timing is everything. August is not the time when most people are paying attention to politics–vacations are ending, kids going back to school, tired of the heat, etc., etc. When the president gets in campaign mode, there will be concerted singing from the same songsheet and the president will control the tune. By the way, Steve Benen has a good perspective on polls this far out and how Dole was leading Clinton at this point in his presidency and polls had Bush beating Gore by 14 percent (and we all know the real winner of that race.) Meantime, our president has us and we’re going to get bigger and more powerful by the day.

What are you talking about? No one in the GOP field is leading PBO in national polls. He is even up six in the latest gereric ballot of Gallup. I understand the premise of your post though.

Great Ad. Great message. I love how quick MassUniting is with their rapid responses. First they protested Scott Brown at his fundraiser with his rich friends and now this bobblehead video. Very very brilliant messaging. Hope they keep up the good work because Teddy’s seat has to go to a real democrat.
