The best surrogates to pummel the MSM with the facts are David Axelrod, Robert Gibbs, Jay Carney, and Bill Burton.

    On Meet the Press today…….

In Two Sentences Team Obama Shatters The Myth Of Rick Perry’s Texas Miracle

Gibbs shredded the myth of Rick Perry’s Texas Miracle in two sentences. Rick Perry’s miracle would have never been possible without federal money. Perry is going to have a hard time in an election justifying his miracle when the largest employer in the state is the federal government, and he used federal money to balance the state’s budget.

So’s Boehner. And McConnell. Why aren’t THEY back at work?

I honestly think this whole b.s. is falling on completely deaf ears and makes clear to the American people how biased the media is.

If Obama had stayed in D.C. we’d have heard that he was a remote and unfeeling father and husband who doesn’t spend any time with his family.

      God, I hate these jackasses.

Why are you posting this crap? Seriously. This may was well have been a Faux interview.

M, I have watched them, and I feel if any person speaks with clarity, facts, and keep the conversation as sane as possible when it comes to policy of this Administration, David Axelrod, Robert Gibbs, are ones that I trust and respect. Especially when you have people on the other side of the table asking stupid and non essential questions of these two gentlemen. Who is hell cares about popularity when your kid needs shoes and you as the parents do not have a job? Now that is the crap that is really crap that should never be asked of Mr. Acelrod or Mr. Gibbs. Give me a break from this mindless questions. Thanks Chips for posting these two interviews. You are the best.

um hello- David Axelrod whether he’s interviewed by Fox or whomever is a spokesperson for this campaign that I, for one, want to hear from. And that includes Gibbs… there are few more loyal and knowledgable supporters of President Obama than these two gentlemen.

I did see an Axelrod interview. I didn’t see him getting his talking point out. I saw an interviewer trying to spin as much negative as possible.

If you believe that they would let Moore get his digs in for anything else other than criticising the prez you are in fantasy land. This interview was so skewed negative it’s not even funny. Every question rhetorical. And if you think Maxine said what she did for any other reason than to get airtime on places she would never normally you are also dillusional.

Axelrod did get his talking points out. I can’t believe that fool used a question from Michael Moore and I am very glad Axe ignored Moore, himself and spoke about the middle class itself. Chipsticks does not post “crap” she informs us as to what is going on.

Chipsticks posts this “crap” as you call it, so that when we send emails, tweets, calls, and letters we know what the heck we’re talking about. She posts this “crap” as you call it, so that we have facts at our fingertips when we call out the BS. She posts this “crap” as you call it, so that we can send thank you’s to our guys for going into the GOP run media and correcting the misinformation that’s out there. She posts this “crap” because she, unlike you understands that 2012 is a whole different ballgame and we’re dealing with a whole new set of monsters: PL, GOP, Teabaggers, Firebaggers and others. She posts this “crap” as you call it, because she realizes that ignorance isn’t bliss; it’s a slow political death. She posts this “crap” as you call it, so that we know the levels the media will sink to; to bring down President Obama. She posts this “crap” as you call it, because it’s her blog and she can post whatever she wants.

The Obama Administration needs to take a little bit of what the CBC is saying seriously, because between the voter id laws, and the CBC members saying black people likely will sit out next year, eventhough the CBC does not speak for black people as a whole, should be a serious concern of the Administration. President Obama brushed off the CBC complaints in a interview he did either Friday or yesterday, but he shouldn’t have. The last thing he needs to do is get too comfortable. He needs the Latino and African American community votes, and financial support.

      August 21, 2011 at 5:06 pm

Those in these communities that are listening more to the negative than what the President has actually tried to accomplish are people who do not bother to READ and FORM decisions based on FACT. Why aren’t these people asking Congresswoman Waters what is SHE doing to get the bills PASSED in Congress????

The voting ID laws,,,,is a huge concern of mine..some states won’t even allow or recognize Vets ID can you believe that…I really hope that OFA is on top of it…because as you saw in WI….The R/W with Kock’s brother’s help are probably putting in place a trick or scam as we speak.

So the CBC is this election’s PL, cluelessly riling up anger and depressing turnout to ensure a Repub wins the presidential election? I can’t think of anything more destructive or idiotic. It’s infuriating. What a difference it would make if all Dem factions worked together, pushing and promoting, targeting the real culprits, the obstructionist Republicans, instead of trying to destroy the best president in our lifetime and damaging the entire Democratic Party in the process. Boy, this is going to be fun—-a government entirely ruled by Republicans. What is the matter with people? President Obama does not have a magic wand everybody. He cannot wave it over a group of people and instantly erase all their woes. He was exactly right in that the best thing he can do is to do all he can to increase jobs and improve the economy overall and that will start to alleviate and improve the unemployment issue for all. He cannot fracture his attention. He is President of the entire United States, all of us.

    • August 21, 2011 at 5:57 pm

Obama did not brush off anyone’s comment. This is what he said: “I will tell you that I think the most important thing I can do for the African-American community is the same thing I can do for the American community, period, and that is get the economy going again and get people hiring again,

And then this: “I think it’s a mistake to start thinking in terms of particular ethnic segments of the United States rather than to think that we are all in this together and we are all going to get out of this together.”

I don’t see how that’s brushing off and the administration is taking the issue seriously. The policies and initiatives that he has introduced shows that. WE ALL benefit from his policies. The bill doesn’t have to be titled “For the People” Or “For My People” or For Blacks Only or any such thing. As long as the bills give the most help to the most disadvantaged – it will help Black people.

CBC can sthd and sthu. What have they done in the last two decades? ? ? ? What? I can’t hear you. http://weeseeyou.com/2011/08/19/the-cbc-on-a-leash/

Black folk will show up for the President in 2012. You can bet.on.that. We know who is fighting for us. We know there are three branches of government. We know that PO and his administration is practically the only thing that is preventing average folks from falling off the edge of the cliff.

The CBC/Waters/West/Smiley and crew do not speak for me. The President isn’t taking any vote for granted. From my perspective, he doesn’t owe us. . . WE owe HIM. As much as he is attacked from the right and the left, as much as he is always left with his a*s exposed to the wind when he is fighting on our behalf on an issue and no one has his back, as much as this man, his wife and even his kids are treated with disrespect . . . I would have given the Kanye shrug and folks would have had to fend for themselves. Thank God he sees it differently and chooses to fight anyway. Leigh – If President Obama does not win the 2012 elections he and his family will be fine. WE ALL (based on the size of our bank account) will be up sh*ts creek with no toilet paper. Don’t get it twisted.

It isn’t about PO being comfortable. President Obama is the hardest working politician of all time. His record speaks for itself and he does it because he cares for the American people. PO is doing what he can with the hand he is dealt for women, children, seniors, middle class, union workers, lower income families, the unemployed, native american families, Hispanic community, etc. What are we doing in our local communities? What is the CBC, Waters (who has never introduced a Jobs Bill in over 20 years) doing?

So it isn’t about PO. WE have the responsibility to elect officials who support his agenda and will help effect the change we want to see. WE have the responsibility to make phone calls to force Congress to do their jobs and tell them to quit fooling around and playing games vs. governing. The CBC has their finger pointed in the wrong direction. PO supports the core goals so they need to get him a bill to sign. We get that. We get it and for those who do not, CBC and others should do the due diligence by researching and educating folks on what this administration has done and is continuing to do that benefits the black community. http://www.democratsforprogress.com/2011/08/18/dear-rep-barbara-lee-chair-of-the-congressional-black-caucus-can-we-talk/

Leigh, what link do you have for that CBC interview where you said,”President Obama brushed off the CNC complaints? Link please. Thank you so much. Also, those who want to vote will go to the polls and vote. Those who wish to support his campaign financially will support it. That is very simple.

    • August 21, 2011 at 7:23 pm

Leigh, I want the people in the CBC to realize that we can have a President Bachmann, Perry, Romney, and I want the people in the CBC to tell me how will the people’s lives in the Black Community be? When you see what these Tea Republicans stand for, what they did with the debt ceiling, what they want to do to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all the other programs which help the poor and middle class. We Black people better get our asses our to vote. And STOP the dam complaining. Our life has always been hard. How the heck do we think this President suppose to solve these problems overnight? I am so piss with Maxine Waters and all the others. If this President had a Congress to work with him he can get something done. Please don’t forget 2010, if we had gotten out to vote, there would be no Speaker Boehner, or Tea Party. It seem to me Waters and the CBC ought to be mad with the Tea Republican Party. This President is this President of the United States, not of the Black Community. If Waters and the CBC causes black voters to sit out the 2012 election, and this President lose, I hope Maxine Waters and her big mouth will be proud of herself. And we shall see how much better the Tea Republicans will do for the Black Community.

This needed to be said and should be repeated by Democrats at every opportunity. The last person we need to be lectured by is Karl Rove considering his history in the Bush administration. Karl Rove was indignant and practically hysterical trying to respond to this bit of truth from Bill Burton. it was basically diarrhea of the mouth and look at that shiny object on steroids. Sorry Karl, your babbling doesn’t change the facts and you know it.

Bill Burton Rips Rove: Americans Aren’t ‘Ready To Hear A Lecture From You On Good Governance’

Former Obama White House spokesman Bill Burton had some sharp words for Karl Rove during their debate on Fox News Sunday. After a long rant from Rove attacking Obama on the economy, Burton shot back: “As someone who was a leader in the White House that turned a record surplus into a deficit, that got us in a war that we never should have been in, and turned the floor of the New York Stock Exchange into a casino — I don’t think the American people are quite ready to hear a lecture from you on good governance.” Watch it:

As i’ve said before, the GOP has no interest in people, or investing in in America’s future. It’s only interested in MONEY, and is not only trashing it’s own house, it’s hell-bent on burning down the entire neighborhood, and surrounding towns, all because of their blinding, personal greed and poisonous hatred for one man.

This is why Gibbs, Axelrod and Burton had to leave the White House – because the Administration needed surrogates getting their messages out in a more combative way to push back against the GOP campaigning and attacks against the President during their primary.

Jared Bernstein is another – great on economic issues, left the White House to give voice to what the Administration was doing because the feeling was there was only two sides getting told – the GOP attack, and the far left attack.

You nailed it StR. I am so glad Gibbs, Axe, and Burton can go on these talking heads shows and get the facts out. And thanks for reminding me about jared Bernstein. I absolutely adore him. He is brilliant. Oh, and another person that I like very much is Austan Goolsbee. He is great. I wonder if he will be available for the shows. I haven’t seen him lately.

Thanks for the posts. When all that is said and done, what we need to start discussing is this. Facts mean nothing to the GOP and their followers. We keep thinking that if we just get the facts out there the voters will see the light and vote accordingly. We are dead wrong. We hear Bachman saying that Americans are worried about the uprising of the Soviet Union. We all think-what a moron! Many Americans think-oh, she is right, we don’t want the Soviet Union to uprise! SO, NOW WHAT? We need to figure out how to combat this bat-shit craziness. Facts mean nothing. What do we need to do? I work with OFA and these 20 year olds really don’t get it. What ideas do any of you have? Please share them now, not later!
