I posted on FB the article Arrogance of being President while being Black by BWD & this is the reply from one of my friends.

“People can say what they want because deep down inside they know that he is doing everything in his power to put this country back together after all the shit load that Bush father and son left behind. The people that dare to critize him know that he has more class than all the stupid asses that just sit in office to kiss each other’s derrier and critize and exploit citizen with their stupid lies and don’t do shit for this country!!”

My sentiments exactly!!! Have a good Friday everyone!

Pardon my ignorance, obamalia. But what is FB? Or what is the link? I would love to read BWD article again. I do remember seeing it awhile ago.

Ha!. I am really embarrased now. 🙂 I don’t do Facebook–yet (although my husband does); I don’t care too much for the “social” networking aspect of it. I do, however, plan to open an account and use it as a means of helping to get President Obama re-elected.

It’s a great way to keep up with the campaign. I left the official website months ago due to the trollish comments.

I know, I know about the link. But his is a good piece taking on people who think they are the “base.”

Good day TOD family and hope it is brighter today.

NO ONE is bringing up that Boehner changed the House rules, and it’s two weeks on, one week off. Not even the smarmy left has made a point of it. Melissa Harris-Perry made a point of it last night but I’ve had it even with the good ones on the left who feel they MUST point out that Democrats do it, Obama does it — in any damned criticism they level at the Republicans.

Had to respond to a Chgo Trib story today which lied re. debt ceiling horror, saying “neither Republicans NOR DEMOCRATS” were willing to compromise. That is the favorite Republican lie which has now become the favorite media lie, the “both sides do it” lie. Infuriating.

    Good morning all,

I looked at the pictures again of the President with children, it’s truly amazing and touching to see the way they interact with him, the way they look at him, awwwww, I just love it.

Someone sent this picture yesterday that I’ve never seen before, Georges Bush with a young girl, the contrast is hilarious. I only remember pictures of him with crying babies but never saw that one. You can’t BS children, they know.

That’s because his touch is inappropriate. He is leaning with his whole arm on her shoulder, rather than resting his hand on it. He is being heavy handed in this picture. I would be upset too, if someone I didn’t know intimately leaned on me like that.

Nice long, entertaining west wing week.

I have a suggestion for the media and anyone who has the audacity (that’s right the audacity) to criticize President Obama for taking a 10 day vacation with his family in Martha’s Vineyard – Look at this week’s WEST WING WEEK and work your way back for about THREE MONTHS and then tell me that this man does not deserve some time off. I have never seen a politician work as hard as President Obama. There is something really sick and twisted that this stupid meme gets any attention at all.

We have a Republican majority in the House of Representatives who supposedly work for two weeks and then take one week off. But they haven’t had time to introduce any jobs bills. And oh by the way congress is on their August recess. I heard Rep Paul Ryan is on vacation while some of his constituents are camped out in front of his office. Where is the outrage about that??

The comment by bjw2 yesterday says it all.

“The time when a black man worked without rest and vacation are long gone. President Obama is NOT your slave you haters”

Isn’t it disgusting to see? Chuck Todd, Jack Tapper, Scarboroug, quitter Palin and on an on. They make me sick, all of them,.

Reminds me of a tweet I saw yesterday—-‘why isn’t President Obama spending his whole summer in the cotton fields? Why is he taking time off?’
And I see one today with the reminder that Reagan took a 25 day vacation when unemployment was at 9.5%. How quickly they forget—–or choose to ignore.

This week’s west wing week is a reminder of why I love and trust President Obama. He is genuine, humble and honest, which comes across in his interactions with people. May God bless the President and his Family. Please God give us another term with President Obama.

Thanks Chips for providing a forum for us to celebrate the president.

Won’t link to this site, Mediaite, a GOPolitico wannabe, but I did find part of a post there amusing and worthwhile. Although the writer tried to make it sound like the Secret Service collared President Obama as he was skipping into the bar to join the WH staff and reporters in Davenport, Iowa, the truth was much more benign, Obama telling the press pool on AF1 on way back from bus tour that he was sorry he couldn’t have joined them in the Duck Bistro (hotel bar?), the SS wouldn’t allow it. But I liked this: The President said he “had a great time” on the trip and thought it had done the reporters some good as well. “The more we’re out of Washington, the better off—-look, you guys all have smiles on your faces” And he reminded that they got to enjoy lots of cookies and pies.
And he said he hoped that Carney picked up the tab for them or at least paid his own bill. When the reporters replied in the negative in unison, Obama said, “That’s terrible. That’s shameful.”

  9. August 19, 2011 at 8:44 am

And here I am disappointed that the President will be taking yet, another WORKING vacation. This guy needs and deserves some major R&R! but you never get a vacation when you’re the President…..unless you’re George Bush. He took eight years. The President needs to be taking a longer vacation IMHO, it’s not like the repubs have a jobs bill on his desk, waiting for him to sign, they’re busy back at home hiding from their constituents.

My utter disgust with our national news media continues. The Today Show wasted all of their important opening segment on Christine O’Donnell! It went on and on. Please tell me what significance she has to anything right now. Of all the events and truths waiting to be told, they chose to shove Christine ‘I am not a witch” O’Donnell in everyone’s faces, wasting everyone’s time.

that is why I quit watching the Today show a long time ago…I had to remind my self that The Today show is nothing but mindless entertainment filled with talk show host (entertainers). I figured if I am going to entertaine myself in the morning while getting ready for work, I prefer watching Cosby Show re-runs LOL 🙂

    Good Morning;

Still sort of tickled and partially disgusted that KO made Deaniac of The People’s View part of his Worst Person’s. Here is Deaniac’s response – the clip is included. http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2011/08/keith-olbermann-is-blogistan-rookie.html

Thanks for this gobrooklyn. Read it. It was brilliant; so I tweeted it to that gasbag @KeithOlbermann and to @CountdownKO. Deaniac83 was 100% correct about the outcome of the debt ceiling deal, calling out firebaggers and them being the supposed “base” of President Obama that decides if he wins or lose, and calling out Keith Olbermann himself.

I really really enjoyed the West Wing Week extended video. How anyone with a working brain can observe this video, this President, and this administration and all the work they’ve accomplished and say they all don’t deserve a vacaton is a dishonest hypocrite.
