Fed’s Dudley says risk of recession “quite low”
NEWARK, New Jersey | Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:43am EDT
(Reuters) – Despite “anemic” U.S. growth so far this year, the risk of a double-dip recession is “quite low”, a top Federal Reserve policymaker said on Thursday. …Dudley said that market interest rates fell after the announcement, “which should help provide some additional support for economic activity and jobs.” … http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/18/us-usa-fed-dudley-idUSTRE77H30C20110818
I can’t wipe the smile off my face watching these videos. Spectacular imagery from rural America. And President Obama as always is charming and in command of the facts. Thank you Mr. President. You are loved and admired.
Sue and Carolyn, I concur. What a visit for all of these wonderful and loving people. He knows how to touch the hearts and lives of all people. It is in his core of his being.
They should send out these little snippets to all supporters and make it go viral. It shows that this economic trip wasn’t a waste of time. The people he met with, listened to, answered questions from; they matter. It all matters. This is government at work. This is why we have a government. This is what government is all about; and I for one, am thankful.
It could only be viewed a waste of time if someone doesn’t believe in the American people, or that our voices matter. I think we matter, and I know our President loves us and wants to hear our voices, because we matter to him.
The media is focusing on every triviality because they know this tour was quite successful. The enthusiasm every place he went was incredible.
There are so many foundations being laid and if people like Maxine Waters were serious they would tell their constituents to start taking advantage of these opportunities. But I guess it’s easier to yell it’s all Obama’s fault instead of telling people what’s actually happening that will make a positive difference in their lives.

I loved this tour. I think it did more good for the country, and for him, than we know right now. These things take a while to soak in.

Here is an example of what the President was talking about…
Connecting WIC participants with farm-fresh produce
Efforts are springing up around the state (California) to bring locally grown fruits and vegetables to the federal program’s shoppers.

They are covering their asses. Which they could do by blasting Republicans but their target of choice is Obama for some reason.
