Yes Indeed! I think *BO* Is an awarding Friend to the Obamas. The Obamas get pure genuine trust worthy Love and loyalty. The Obamas don’t have to worry about *BO* throwing them under the Bus, like Colburn did today. Wowwwwwwwww I guess real true Friends are almost Impossible to find In this mean World and especially In the White House, ummmm 😦 😯 😈

That dog is just precious. He is so sweet and lovable.

If ever someone deserves a break it’s this family. I wish him some good quality time with family and friends. I hope he gets to read what he wants to read, take walks with his wife and daughters, swim, boat and just enjoy life without any crisis over the next 10 days. Let the media bark all they want. You just keep doing your thing Mr. President. We love you and want you to have a wonderful vacation. We’ll hold down the fort until you get back.

Dear Rep. Barbara Lee, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, Can We Talk?

As a constituent who resides in your district, I just want to weigh in on the hatred and political divisiveness that I hear and read about on the news and on the Internet. There are forces working very hard at making sure that President Obama is defeated in 2012. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took an oath or signed a pledge to that effect.

The newest political strategy is to turn the African-American community against the first black president. The idea is to get black folks to scream at the President and to threaten to withhold our support come November 2012. Due to the very high unemployment rate in the black community, this could be an easy sell. The well-paid professional propagandists don’t ask African-Americans to lay the blame for the lack of employment at the feet of the business world (which is hoarding up a couple of trillions in their rainy-day fund), or to consider the fact that governors everywhere are cutting down on the public sector workforce (comprised of large numbers of black Americans per capita), or to holler at the Republican-dominated House, which has blocked most of the job-creating programs introduced by Democrats.

Thanks for this nospin. I read every word and I tweeted it. Reading all the GREAT accomplishments President Obama has achieved for all Americans, especially middle and working class Americans, just made me choke up with pride and gratitude for this President. I have no idea how those in his party and the CBC can join the ranks of the GOP and Teaparty to disparage him in a hateful manner. It’s utterly unconscionable. There’s NO excuse for their behavior. None at all.

Great thanks, nospin, for expressing so well my sentiments. I am really at loss to understand what’s going on among Black members of Congress who have joined forces with those pledged to defeat President Obama. Do they really think that if President Obama is defeated the economic conditions in the Black community would be drastically improved?

I hope and pray that the president and his family have a drama-free, love-filled time to enjoy all of the people and things that they love the most. They sacrifice much for us and they MORE than deserve a time away, just like any other family. It is so sad the the president has to pay the Black Tax even when it comes to his vacation. It is amazing that these fools can be so petty; is this all that they’ve got, fake outrage over a vacation? We must really look stupid and childish to other nations.

And I love seeing President Obama laughing and happy. It’s reassuring. I bet he’s really looking forward to a little R&R, no one deserves it more, no one ever has deserved it more. Have a lot of fun, Obama family!

If you didn’t get a chance to see Ms. Waters during her other 132 appearances, she is next up on Hardball to complain some more. As I’ve noted, nothing will get you on a news program faster than being an African American willing to criticize President Obama. There’s an invitation issued with the speed of lightning. And the sad thing is, these members of the CBC played right into their hands.

I’m watching her too dotster. Chris is a fucking asshole. He keeps egging her on and telling her to push the President, call out the President, hold his feet to the fire, because he’s being weak. She then replied that oh Yes she’ll push him, she’ll push him hard. She’ll tell him that black people and the CBC no longer want compromise. That he should become partisan. Chris is now telling her that he hopes she keeps on fighting and pushing PBO hard. That he wants to see a huge march on Washington with black people, labor and other minorities pushing PBO to provide them with jobs. Then with a smug smirk on his fucked up face, he said i’ll definitely cover that. That’ll make good TV. Fucking jerk. Maxine Waters is such a nincompoop and a bitch!

Lets face it UT, people like Maxine Waters and John Conyers are now professional politicians. They’ve been in congress for decades and they absolutely have very little to show by way of accomplishments so far as the African American communities are concerned. Now all of a sudden they want to blame everything on President Obama. I say to Ms. Waters what exactly is preventing you and the CBC from enacting legislation to cure poverty? If Congress passed such legislation and President Obama vetoed it, then I will be happy to join you in attacking him. Why can’t Maxine Waters and the entire CBC do the job of legislating, for which they were elected to do, instead of spending time on television whining and bashing President Obama? I think Maxine is trying to distract people from her ethical problems.

          • August 18, 2011 at 11:23 pm

Wow, thanks for the update so disappointing to see esp. Maxine Waters especially how I watched her defend President Clinton as well as Senator Clinton no matter what!!! This is infuriating. Now she’s saying she hopes this anger at Obama spreads to other communities. She again mentioned call centers, she’s mad at the call centers in India. This is their big idea? Now if Obama could just make all the corporations move their call centers to Detroit? This is just stupid. And she’s saying stuff like the people tell her to tell “that president” (said derisively) to do something, to fight. Put up his dukes? AGGGGGGRRRRRRGH! Hope they enjoy President Romney. He really cares about the AA community.

            August 18, 2011 at 5:56 pm

With a little further investigation, we will uncover that Maxine’s sudden anger towards the President about AA unemployment has nothing to do with AA or unemployment. It has everything to do with Maxine’s professional ethics problem, her fear of losing her congressional seat, along with her personal resentment of the President.

I wonder if President Obama will get a chance to chat with one of his biggest fans while he is on vacation in Massachusetts. This post makes me positively giddy. You will crack up laughing when you read what the Massachusetts GOP said about Elizabeth Warren. Hilarious, Senator Brown must be shaking in his boots.

Working Class Hero Elizabeth Warren Forms Exploratory Committee

Being reported today by the Boston Globe, Elizabeth Warren is filing her paperwork to form an exploratory committee to run for the U.S Senate against the pin-up boy model, Senator Scott Brown.

Her website is http://www.elizabethforma.com/splash/, “I think this was always part of the plan,” said Doug Rubin, a Democratic political consultant helping Warren with her pre-campaign analysis. “The whole point is for her to engage with people and listen to their concerns. This just allows her to do more of that.”

I just met with Ms. Warren yesterday and I came away with the feeling that she is truly Middle Class America’s Senator. Originally from Oklahoma, Elizabeth Warren has a great and compelling personal story to tell to the people of Massachusetts. As a child she experienced something all too many people today are experiencing today. That is whether a child is sick enough to endure going to the doctors and accumulating medical bills. That was one of the many hard decisions her mother had to make as she was growing up.

This brings a sense of empathy to exactly what is happening to the people within middle class America. This is something Senator Scott Brown doesn’t have. Although Scott Brown was raised by a mother on public assistance, he has forgotten where he came from and what made his success possible, which is the helping hand from government assistance. Senator Scott Brown has voted time and time again against the interests of regular, ordinary Americans who are struggling. He voted AGAINST extending unemployment assistance if it added to the debt.

    • 61 nintendowii10
      August 18, 2011 at 5:41 pm

Centerfold Scott is terrified of a potential Warren candidacy.

Firstly, Scott is already weakened by the fact that he voted too many times with the Dems, and it’s pissed off the Teapug base.

Secondly, Warren is no Martha Coakley. Warren may be soft spoken, but like Reid and our President, she carries a big stick.

Thirdly, Warren would probably get help/support from PBO during a Presidential election year, in a very liberal state. Unless Romney is the (R) candidate, Perry or Bachmann would of course do nothing but chase away independent support.

Warren will, to use a term from the Transformers film, bring the rain against Centerfold Scott, for above said reasons, and it should come as no surprise that he is afraid.

      • August 18, 2011 at 6:18 pm

Another issue Brown will run into is that this isn’t a Special Election, where national volunteers and money will pour in. Teabaggers/GOP love the idea that Brown is in “Ted Kennedy’s seat” but I suspect they’d rather fight to beat McCaskill, Tester, Kaine and re-elect Heller as those Republicans will be more pure than Scotty Brown. Brown will be bankrolled by Koch and the like, but that’s not the image he was elected on. Looking at his donor list will be a who’s who of banksters and corporate interests who want to defeat Warren. Warren’s campaign could make this election a microcosm of class warfare, with the Banksters bought Scott Brown against the working class defender Elizabeth Warren. Brown can get his truck back on the road all he wants – he has votes he’ll have to defend, and video’s with Koch-roaches that he can’t hide from.

Brown could have upwards of $25M raised – Warren will need at least $15M to be viable if that is the case, more if she’s in a tough primary battle.

Rev Al showing video of PBO talking about jobs, and a Teapug Congressman being publicly shamed for wanting to gut Medicare and Medicaid.

PBO has done more to talk about jobs than these Teapugs who campaigned on the issue last fall. Seems to me that the only jobs they cared about are their own, they certainly haven’t done squat to create jobs for those who need it.

“Obama administration said Thursday it would postpone the deportation of illegal immigrants without criminal records and allow them to apply for work permits as it reviews over 300,000 cases.”

And the news is already hammering him on his vaca. NBC news said most Americans will not begrudge a president a vacay with family, but spent most of their air time with Repub criticisms, some Repub website where you can send Obama snarky vacation messages, Reince Priebus saying something stupid about Americans out of work aren’t vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, that he’d never been there, as if that was significant, and laid it on heavy about the bad economy. And then had some guy saying that Obama better not appear in any photos to be having a good time, to not appear to be “goofing off”. Our news media is absolutely pathetic.

    • August 18, 2011 at 6:42 pm

Every day in every way they prove their complete irrelevance. Ooooo, PBO better not be having a good time!! Pitiful.

I don’t see any news coverage of Rusty doing his golfing fundraisers and locking out his constituents when they show up at his office. UGH.

Why don’t we collectively turn the MSM news off for the duration of this vacation. Of course, first we will let them know that we are and why we are taking a break from their negativity, and relentless PBO bashing.

Excellent idea – I’m going to take the next 10 days off, and just log in here and on Twitter (very occasionally). There will be plenty of fighting to do in September. I can’t take seriously any criticism about the President’s vacation – especially when it comes from people who’ve been on vacation for the past two weeks, and they left on vacation while the FAA was on shutdown. They are ridiculous, juvenile and dangerous.

HEADLINE: “AFL-CIO: Labor Will Stand by Obama”

/// Organized labor won’t sit out President Obama’s reelection campaign and let a Republican win the presidency, the AFL-CIO’s political director said Wednesday. ///

They know what the stakes are. Only those bloviators sitting in a box reading from a teleprompter who love to hear themselves yap all day think this is a joke.

The unions have seen what Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Florida has wrought. They are thinking about their members. The talkers are thinking about their own wallets.

      Go figure.

Can somone give me Congresswomen Maxine Water’s office phone number. I will give her a call and a piece of my mind tomorrow morning. Not only are we working to keep PBO in the Whitehouse, but we are working to take back the House of Representatives. How is this possible when we have the CBC condemning President Obama on every FRICKEN MSM newsstation? 😡 It is appalling.

Thanks hopefruit. As PBO has always proclaimed we are the change we have been waitiing for. If we don’t do the work to help PBO and Dems get elected it won’t get done. I will be calling her office first thing in the morning.

PBO’s adversaries have not seen nothing yet. President Obama’s ground and internet troops are just getting started. The media thought the crashing of congresses websites, faxes, and phonelines was something during PBO’s debt debate call for action you wait and see what happens if Congress votes against his Big Jobs bill coming up in September. 😎

Oh, she will be put on notice. I bet even her own district will support President Obama over her nonsense and we all know now that she dealing with ethics issues that are being brought to light. Shame on you Ms. Waters.

I’m posting the following at any blog I visit as a sort of pre-emptive strike against anyone trying to use Maxine Waters “black people are frustrated” BS.

So I see that Maxine Water’s recent comments about “black frustrations” with Obama has been getting alot of airplay and has been used here and elsewhere as a way to say “hey…even African Americans are upset with Obama…”. This could not be farther from the case. In truth, it’s a little more nuanced than certain care to think about.

I understand that the majority of the people could probably care less about this nuance. It’s enough that the “perceived” frustration expressed by Ms Waters’ is out there. So for anyone who actually would like to read a pretty good post about the subject that at the very least tries to give you an accurate picture of how the CBC, Obama, etc are perceived within the community.

Rep. Maxine Waters, CBC, Waiting For You to “Unleash” Them On Obama

While President Barack Obama was on the road duing a listening bus tour, members of the Congressional Black Caucus were getting an earful in Detroit from frustrated constituents upset over our dire economic conditions. When pressed on why the CBC isn’t doing more to put pressure on the president, Rep. Maxine Waters gave a candid response that they were waiting on permission from their constituents. She said these voters, often fervent supporters of the president, needed to “unleash” them…

Rep. Waters and other CBC members are in a precarious situation where their voting public is angry, frustrated, struggling and wants action. But there is a serious political risk if members like Waters and others if they are perceived as too aggressive…

Obama has only been in office three years. Many CBC members have been around since the Clinton Administration or longer. And many issues dragging down the African American community are systematic issues that have lingered since — quite frankly — forever. But when it comes to the current economic crisis, it’s been at a “Depression” level for African Americans since George W. Bush’s second term as president. Any critique of “Why isn’t Obama doing anything?” can easily be turned around back on them and they can be asked, “What has the CBC been doing for the last 20 years?”

Is that a far question given how complicated politics can be? Probably not. But will that get asked over and over again by those in defense of the president? Yes, indeed. … if they go too hard on the president, who is more popular than many of them as a whole (individually, I’m sure they’re beloved in their various districts) — they will get clowned. For all the CBC’s accomplishments, many perceive the current organization as ineffectual and decadent in the same way people view the NAACP and the National Urban League. There seems to be no innovation in the fight, just a retread of old tactics — like having a meeting, holding a boycott or having a march…

There is more. Please read the whole post. It is very good, and IMHO, perfectly describes the situation as I experience it in my conversations with my own family and community.

Again, if anyone cares to go deeper than the headlines.

This is a good read, helps to broaden my perspective. Still think Ms. Waters is manipulating the politics of this, and unfairy so against the President. Tweety evidently wants to see the AA community out in force marching against this President. Marching against this Congress….yes. Marching against the Propogandists in the MSM….hell yes, Against the President …misdirected energy IMO, and it should be all Americans, the issues affecting the AA community affect all of us…we should be in this together.

Constituents of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-District 1) continue to occupy his offices waiting for the Congressman to grant a meeting. Ryan is currently vacationing with his family, but the seven individuals sitting in his office say they have all tried to contact Ryan, multiple times, and have received the same generic email response. Traditionally when members of Wisconsin’s Congressional Delegation break for the August recess they hold town hall meetings where they listen to concerns off constituents in their districts. Ryan, so far, has only scheduled one “public” appearance at the Whitenall Park Rotary September 6 banquet. Attendees will be required to pay a $15 fee to be one of the lucky 300 to meet with the Representative.

I love the 1st family of our awesome country . Our president is showing the world that nothing can be obtainable over night. But pulling together we can make a Didference. Take a look at my city new Orleans we are still rebuilding. Stop trying to find fault and work with the our President .. By far he has been the most intelligent President . I can recall as a child one of my classmates was playing As the teacher . She had to call on one of us for the answer . My hand was the 1st to go up , she kept looking over me. She findly called on someone else ..I knew the answer, but I was not the right skin color to be smart enough to answer the question. She rather get a wrong answer then to receive a right answer from me. Now that I have kids of my owe I teach them to give every one a chance and help them out if they need a helping hand. The president need the entire body to come together to make this country a better America.
