Oh My Dear Tally. This takes me back to my 36 years of a great career of making a difference. Thank you for the tears of pure joy for reminding me of what I did with my life in order to make a difference in the thousands of beautiful lives of those precious students. I would be rich in dollars today in my golden years, but those of the likes of some people in the establishment decided that those dollars should go to the very rich. However, I am a better person and my students certainly were and are because I chose to make a difference not matter what the numbers were on my check each month for thirty-six years. So when they ask me how much I made, I will reply.”I made a damn good difference..” Plus, I am not being all proud, I have proof of those words because I have students all over this world who still call me or write and tell me, “Thanks Ms.______- , you made a difference in my life. I salute all of those who just received their phone calls or notices that they can and will be returning to the classsroom tomorrow, or next week. I hope they also will make a difference. Thanks so much for this Tally. I love you for reminding us of what we are still fighting for in all that we TOD Family do everyday to help this wonderful President fight and fight even more for teachers all over this country. Thank you all for allowing me to love you and be here to see what you all are still doing to make a difference wherever you go. There is a quote I love,”Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” HZ

      • August 17, 2011 at 10:18 pm

You are awesome, HZ. Your students were so lucky to have you! You’re such a gem 😀 !

This attack on teachers is/was one of the most insidious smear campaigns ever cooked up by the right wing — they took it to a new low when they hatched that one. Nasty buzzards 👿 ! When karma comes for them, it won’t be pretty.

Thank you HZ for your service to our children who are now productive adults. Like you, I bet all of the teachers who had Barry/Barack Obama in their classroom are beaming with pride now at the adult he has become.

      • August 18, 2011 at 1:42 am

One of these days HZ, we’re going to lunch. We’re damn neighbors after all! And I would have been HONORED to have you as a teacher.

YES. THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT WE’RE HELPING OUR AMAZING PRESIDENT FIGHT FOR!

I loved that woman in the tee as well, and thought, she’d probably spank anyone who dared cross her about her support, being elderly and white. Probably has to deal with peepartiers in her peer group.

It is SO important that seniors get the message about how much ACA has done for them. I am still appalled at how many seniors do not know that the new benefits under Medicare came from Democrats and ACA.

My husband is 71. He is having some memory problems and I’m having a problem with him (“Don’t call me nuts!”, is what he says). I want him to go back on Aricept and we’re going to the doctor today and I have to tell her because he won’t.

My husband — my Obama-loving blue collar Democrat husband — said he didn’t want to go back into the donut hole (when he was on two name brand drugs, one being Aricept). I couldn’t believe, with all the talking we do about politics, Medicare and the like — that he didn’t know that the donut whole is now smaller and getting smaller every year, and that his name brand Aricept would be HALF the price it was when he was on it a few years ago.

It drives me crazy that the Republican fear gets through and we have so much trouble getting the truth out there.

The sentiment behind the sign in the photo that read “I skipped da Bears to see da Prez” is a big deal in Illinois (I live here now) !!! It’s like saying “I ditched picking up my lottery winnings to see the Prez” !!!

A young teen who did some outdoor work for me a while back told me that he was going to another state the following week and I asked if he were moving there. He said, “Oh, no, I’d never leave the Bears.”

Personally, I belong to Athletics Anonymous, but thought I’d mention.

President Obama could be a model. The pictures are just fantastic. In every shot, he looks AMAZING. So unposed, just mingling with the people and enjoying himself and it clearly shows. You could not have crafted a better 3 days for this economic bus tour. Great weather, great optics, great bakground, great people, great questions, great interactions, great answers, great pictures, and finally, GREAT President.

I loved these 3 days. President Obama enjoyed it, the people enjoyed it. It’s good to see him out among the people. It rejuvenates him, and the communities were so supportive and seemed thrilled to have him visit. And I love to have the public hear the truth, minus media filter, directly from President Obama. There’s no one better at answering questions, any questions. I think it makes a huge difference. Wish he could appear at these kind of stops throughout the country between now and the election. And what a difference it makes to read accounts in these smaller media markets, just the truth, no sarcasm, no negative slant, just straight reporting. As it should be.

I thought it was a great tour and the communities really responded but why are the pundits, Repubs and some Dems making it seem like a failure? The Repub Pres candidates wish they had that kind of response…smh

I thank you Chips for your dedication, hard work, and continued space that is not torn with negative thoughts. This is truly a beautiful space for our TOD Family, and we sure as hell better support you in keeping it as one of the most intellectual, inspiring, loving, truth sharing, and total respect to you, to each other and most of all to our President, Barack Obama. Thank you so much my dear friend, Chips. Love you so very much.HZ

*somersaults and cartwheels through spacious new thread* YIppee! And what a thread it is, Mama Chips  ! Jam packed full of American President goodness. Yum!

In the midst of the ugliness that the right wing brings with them everywhere they go: Congress, television, radio, internet, townhalls, etc., it’s easy to forget just how ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL the American people are when you get down to it. Looks at these faces. Just gorgeous.

Onward and upward. Viva Obama. Viva USA!

Proof is in the photos of Obama with kids who seem to love him on the spot. And I also loved the photos today with the high school teams. You can see on their faces how thrilled they were to be with him, how cool they think he is, he’s their kind of president.

  15. August 17, 2011 at 10:17 pm

President Obama is like a ray of light that shines wherever her goes.

I haven’t been commenting much but I visit here countless times everyday just to keep abreast of how our favourite president is doing.

I also have to mention that that CBS video was a bit of eye candy especially when the president is walking towards the bus at the end.
I really couldn’t help but check out his sexy walk and butt. 😉

I have always loved the way he walks. WOOOOOOO baby! It’s a confidence, a stride, an ease about who he is. I don’t know how I get all of that from watching him walk, but it is DIVINE! I feel like the little girl on the volleyball who just swooned!! after she shook his hand.

The first time I shook his hand, I screamed like a school girl. Mind you, I was a full grown woman. I was like a stealth volunteer the last time. I did all of my volunteer work, but strategically wore a Phillies jersey so that I could cover my VOLUNTEER t-shirt when it came time for the rope line. I’m up to 5 times. Twice as a candidate, once when he was in Philadelphia as the President-elect catching the train to DC and twice as President of the United States.

      I LOVE MY PRESIDENT!!

I love the pic of PBO with the close-up of his smile. It is so genuine. I think this week has helped him recover from the crazy Congress. Hope his vacation rejuvenates him. I turned on the tv as I missed most of the shows I like to watch and only caught Ed who I quickly turned off after hearing him continue to try to badger a woman asking her if they wanted PBO to come to her state and get involved with their Union problems. She avoided agreeing with him and he stated how she was avoiding the question instead of listening and taking a hint from it. Ed’s idea is he is supporting PBO by telling him what to do so he will get re-elected.
I am listening to the townhall above with no sound on Ed. Thanks as it is nice to be able to catch the townhall.

ISONPRIZE, how fortunate you are! I’ve seen him once…back in 2007, but I know that once you see him in person, you can never believe the lies told about him. The more he gets out with the people, the larger the number of people will know those lies aren’t true. Those will tell others, and the number of Obamabots will increase exponentially. He is just what he is pictured, alive, intelligent, caring, funny, and yes handsome. I’m SO glad he got out of DC for these three days! Like others, I think it was a rejuvenating time. Nothing can be deadlier than dealing with Congress!
Thank you Chips for all the pictures. How can a stupido like Tweety say he doesn’t connect with “regular” people??? Tweety is evidently the irregular one who can’t connect with the President. What a story those students at those schools he visited have to tell their children and grandchildren! “Let me tell you about the day President Obama visited my school back in 2011…..” I’m sure every student gets a Pete Souza picture too!!!

Sorry Jackie, UT, and Chips. I am just SO Obama Obsessed I guess any negativity brought from his enemies SCARES me. I have found the ROOT of my problem. I get scared when this stuff is mentioned. I have to understand that we don’t live in a Utopian society and PBO has many enemies. I will refrain from confronting anyone else when they report what is being done or said to PBO and asking for our PUSHBACK.

That being said love you Chips. I am really a fun loving and compassionate guy and very PASSIONATE about PBO’s re-election. Please don’t be afraid to meet in my birthplace of D.C. at PBO’s next inauguration. Hope a large group of us TODers and TOAITRers can get together that glorious weekend in January of 2013!! KEEP HOPE ALIVE!! Obama/Biden 2012!!

Apology accepted Keith. For next time, whenever you feel panicky about the news or the negativity by PBO’s enemies; just let us know and we’ll calm you down and reassure you. We’re a family here and we’re all working to spread information that will help us in the battle to get President Obama re-elected. We all have to know the good news that is out there and also what false news the other side and the media is peddling. So once again, don’t get overly panicky and attack anyone with news; just let us know how you’re feeling and we’ll ALL be there for you. 😀

Thank you for all the wonderful updates on President Obama. If it wasn’t for this site I would feel so depressed. Listening to the corporate media you would think our president is universally hated. Seems like a lot of people like him and I imagine will (like me) vote for him in 2012. Keep up the good work!
