vote ian dress (in 2042)

Ian Dress, 8, holds a sign separating himself from protesters while waiting for President Barack Obama to pass on his way to the Rural Economic Forum at the Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta, Iowa, Aug. 16

Thank you LOL 😉

And don’t forget to vote for Amber in 2050:

“Does Daddy make you watch Fox News?”

No, Amber’s dad looks like he has a brain.

LOVE Ian Dress. Thanks to his family.

Did not love “debt man walking” on the sign next to him, but those people will get theirs through a little thing called Karma. You don’t have to wish bad luck on anybody (I’m Irish) – they bring it on themselves.

Those tools are still in denial. They will never admit that the recession is the result of GWB’s policies. They can’t face the fact that they were cheerleaders for the worst president in modern U.S. history. These tools didn’t even know what the total U.S. deficit was until PBO made the decision to make them aware of it, and instead of being adult about it, they lie and say that PBO is responsible for the entire $14+ Trillion. They hate PBO and us so much because we brought into the light what the republicans never wanted Americans to see: GWB was a loser in every way. No matter how much they remain in denial, the data doesn’t lie.

I sure wish that Ian and all of the young folks on this trip was old enough to vote. I know I sound selfish. 🙂 Way to go Ian. Those so-called mature adults could take a lesson from you. Lord forgive them for they know not what they are protesting.

Way to go Ian Dress! Isn’t it something that an 8 year old knows a lot more than people more than twice his age. Throughout PBO’s interactions with children and their response to him, I so wish they could vote right now and that many others across the world could vote; because PBO would win in a landslide. Ahhhhh….. wishful thinking. 🙂

Wisconsin’s two Dem recall ballots are being counted. Online energy seemed to plummet after last weeks results, let’s home enough volunteers and voters had the backs of two of the Wisconsin 14! On the ground reports had high turnouts in GOP areas, let’s hope the Dems weren’t caught depressed here. Holperin could be in some trouble if that is the case, but he polled strong ahead by PPP over the weekend.

I’ll guess Wirch by 8 and Holperin by 4.

    • August 16, 2011 at 9:20 pm

This is how the Dems got beaten in the first place in 2010. We should have learned a lesson. I pray that they do not lose those seats. Apathy was our worst enemy.

You are correct. It would be a TRAVESTY to lose those seats when they could of had a 17-16 one seat deficit with a Moderate Rethug who could vote with the Dems on State legislation. Why the Wisky Dems are deflated I don’t know. What they did was remarkable. Removing 2 entrenched GOP incumbants. If they keep this attitude of apathy then they won’t recall their Fascist Governor either. 😦 That’s the difference between Dems and Rethugs. Dems get demoralized too easy. We are too sensative. The Rethugs are passionate about what they believe and our ruthless and persvere to the END. 😡

why are we so easily demoralized….

why do we give up so easily

it is like the PL and the President….we do not see the value of the accomplishments because it is no alllll of what we want…

there was a saying that the ANC had during its struggle agiant apartheid….

They’re excited in Atkinson for President Obama’s visit tomorrow—–lined up at 3:30a.m. to get tickets, want to show him the fountain on State St. that was built by volunteers, the local veterinarian painted his storefront, lady said after Obama’s visit she’ll have to retire her bumper sticker that says “where the heck is Atkinson?”

Oh, I loved this quote from one of the townspeople, about the President’s visit: “This means a lot because we’re farmers.”

Thanks dotster. This is so exciting for the people in Atkinson. What a treat for them to remember for the rest of their lives. I love the manner in which the President is so real with the people, and that so many are so respectful to him.

You can bet that Jake Tapper and Chuck Todd will have no interest in interviewing little Ian Dress. And he certainly won’t be a guest on the Today Show tomorrow. Now if he had given President Obama the finger Jake and Chuck would have made skid marks to get more details for a negative story line. And you just know that Ann Curry would have that little rascal on the couch in NYC asking for an explanation of his anger at the president. But alas, little 8 year old Ian Dress is a supporter of President Obama. So nothing to see here for the media. Now the guy holding the “Debt Man Walking” sign is just what the doctor ordered for the Obama bashers in the media.

I am sorry that Ian had to be exposed to such ignorant and nasty people that the Tea Party tends to attract. I’ld imagine they would have no problem treating him poorly. That aside, way to go Ian, appreciate your courage and your willingness to take a stand. I also noticed he is awfully cute….Obama supporters are always the best looking folks in the crowd 😎

One of the pictures with Jay and the dog, Jay looked like he was a little anxious around that big dog with his rabbit in his mouth. 🙂

Thanks for all of the pictures Chips. I have been watching and listening to our President for two days now and I love what he is doing and the respect he is being shown by the NORMAL Americans

      August 17, 2011 at 12:42 am

I really hate listening to his whiny voice.

I think he’s getting a lot of push back with his bashing because he’s awful defensive when he starts criticizing the president. Like he says “I’m a supporter of the president and I will vote for him BUT ….” He did this on his radio show (before I turned the channel) and on TV tonite (before I turned the channel)

Rachel, too, made a point of saying how Ed has been a supporter after she did her little interview with him. Maybe many of us are speaking out and letting him know how sick and tired we are of hearing a litany of every fucking thing Obama does WRONG without some balance as to what he’s doing right.

    Dem’s held both seats in WI. 5 D, 4 R total

As the Good Book told us “A little child shall Lead them”…Thank God for Ian, aged 8.

I am amazed that so many are believing this republican manufactured garbage about what the President is not doing — How have they missed the obvious “Roadblocks” that are constantly being placed in the way of his every idea and plan. The disrespect and meaness emanting from congess and the tea party are so obvious to any one that has a brain — I’m begining to wonder if it is something in the Water….

Praying daily for folk like you that keep the truth flowing. Thanks for helping us retain our sanity. MsYDB

Bless was thinking the same thing “A little child……..” Sad that Ian appears smarter than those folks. Some folks just make it easy to be brain-washed – they had nothing in there in the first place.

That lil girl with her Obama gear – proud of my Obama calendar and buttons too.

  19. August 17, 2011 at 3:12 am

So sorry that I misspelled “emanating” and “congress” — It is early in the morning and my glasses are in the other room. But I did intend to spell them with small letters to call attention to their “small, small minds” Thanks, MsYDB
