    Here we go!!!!!

Carrying over from WiW’s snippets of information in the earlier thread: Opinion: With Basic Health Care Plan, California can lead in health care reform.

With a Dem governor and legislature, California may just break open the floodgates on single payer.

I have a feeling it is hard to wrap up all those talking. Sure they have lots to say in the break out sessions.

Well I guess I can add Ezra Klein to the list of MSNBC tools…..he is repeating the UpChuck Todd talking points….

    Why wait Mr President ????

I’m with you Linda. I’ve seriously become uber pissed at Ezra ever since he began filling in for Martin Bashir. When he was just a guest commentator on LOD or Rachel, or Morning Joe he was way better. What is with these pundits? Nothing PBO ever does is good enough for them. Ezra was the one advocating that PBO should get out of Washington and talk with the people. He’s the one who said that PBO needs to unveil a jobs plan. Now that PBO is doing both, he’s bitching. Jerkface.

It just proves that they are script readers and nothing more……

Even with David Schuster filling in for Keith….you can tell…

      • August 16, 2011 at 4:09 pm

People people people, if they are receiving a corporate media pay check they will repeat the “company” narrative. Lets freaking ignore them, but let them know why.

Exactly maggy. How many times do I have to tell my fellow supporters that you won’t find any validation in the MSM for PBO. We have to spread the GOOD word. It won’t come form tv. 😕

            August 16, 2011 at 4:38 pm

Keith once again I have to explain it to you and everyone else who keeps bitching at us who watch the news. We DON’T expect validation from them. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. That’s why we watch! There is a saying “Know Thy Enemy.” If we don’t know the misinformation they’re spreading, then how can we counter it? You think PBO and his people aren’t watching what’s being said and peddled by the MSM? If they weren’t watching, how would they be able to pushback and fightback against lies? If you don’t want to watch; fine, but don’t tell the rest of us that we’re looking for validation. 2012 is a whole different ballgame with a whole different set of monsters; the PL, the Teabaggers, the GOP, and the Media. So we must shore up our arsenals with all sorts of information so we can credibly FIGHT BACK! Let me repeat this one more time: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

UT, I think I understand people’s frustration when you guys watch or listen to these pundits. It’s a stream of negativity (bitching) that follows. Using your example of the WH watching and listening, they (WH) then turn the pundits information into positive comebacks filled with useful information. When the bitching starts here, I just scroll on past and don’t comment, but I understand where people are coming from.

I agree on the knowledge is power statement and always hesitated on the just don’t watch commands as I figured that was like sticking your head in the sand and we need to know what is out there in order to counteract it. I do rely on others at times if I think my blood pressure can’t take it and thank those who report what has happened here.

And Klein just said in a sarcastic tone with a smirk, “So, President Obama………..what’s your next move?” I’ve had it with the whole lot of them.

        August 16, 2011 at 3:56 pm

        It’s the President’s move?
Anyone on Twitter please twitter to Ezra Klein that the President has set out an agenda for jobs over the last 6 months that the House refuses to act on. He and the Dems are the only ones talking about jobs and trying to do something about this.
Explain to the people that he has to now try a find a way around Congress because they refuse to do anything about jobs for the American people because they want the economy to tank further so everyone blames PBO and the Republicans win the WH next election.
What kind of journalist is he ? What about some truth for a change.

        August 16, 2011 at 4:03 pm

Does he ask what REPUBLICANS plan for jobs? Has he bothered to tweet effing Boehner on the golf course to find out what he will do for jobs?

Only Obama shouldn’t spend a few days away with his children and wife, but Boehner can sit in his gated community, sipping whiskey on the golf course?

What the hell is the matter with these people?

“My foot up your arse that’s what”

      • August 16, 2011 at 5:36 pm

“So president Obama…… what’s your next move?”

PBO’s reply: ” my foot up your ass, Ezra.”

    • 26 Ladyhawke
      August 16, 2011 at 3:56 pm

I mean really, why show all your cards to the obstructionist Republican Party during the August recess? Strategically, does that make sense? Why can’t PBO introduce his plans when he wants to on his terms? Why does it have to be on some time table that suits the media? Oh, I get it this means the media has no idea of what the plan will be so they can’t sabotage it and start criticizing it right now. They will sadly have to wait until September like the rest of us. Poor babies……

The media often reminds me of the plant called Audrey II in the LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS play. Audrey II demanded to be constantly fed by owner Seymour. The plant thrived on human blood. Seymour had difficulty providing enough blood to keep Audrey II healthy. Just like Audrey II, the media must be fed constantly. Their constant diet of Obama bashing is never enough. I wonder if that is where the term “feeding he beast” came from??

PBO is absolutely right about Sec. of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. He is amazing and is so excited and knowledgeable about rural America, the farming industry, and small businesses. I saw him on Morning Joe this morning and he was GREAT! He was on point, on the ball with facts, facts, facts. He refuted every lie and misinformation about the Dept. of Agriculture and the steps the Obama Admin. have taken to improve agricultural exports. Our exports are up by over 40% and the Dept. of Agriculture is operating with a surplus since the Obama Admin took over. He did not allow idiotic Willie Geist and Mike Barnicle try to denigrate the accomplishments of President Obama with regards to rural economies.

    • August 16, 2011 at 4:02 pm

He has a Monsanto problem though, a pretty damn glaring one.

      • 36 57andFemale
        August 16, 2011 at 4:05 pm

Past associations only matter if he is still acting like Monsanto is in the driver’s seat. If he is being effective as Secretary of Agriculture, then do we still label him with his past?

        People can change their minds.

        • 37 utaustinliberal
          August 16, 2011 at 4:15 pm

Don’t worry I already researched the Monsanto association and I’m with 57andFemale. He is no longer acting like Monsanto is in the driver’s seat and besides the Monsanto thing is old news anyway. He’s been a phenomenal Secretary of Agriculture since 2009, so I don’t hold Monsanto against him. Besides if PBO gave him a second chance, he definitely has some redeeming qualities. Besides even after Gen. Stanley McChrystal insulted PBO in the Rolling Stones article, PBO still gave him a second chance and allowed him a seat on the Joining Forces Initiative and other Military Initiatives because he knew that McChrystal had skills and qualities that would benefit the initiatives.

          • August 16, 2011 at 8:22 pm

Oh really? Is that why he approved GMO Alfalfa which could have catastrophic consequences? So, so, so still Monsanto. Appointing Vilsack is the one thing the President did that I disliked. Knew he was going to, he had to, but I still hate it.

Boy, would that be a good riddance to bad rubbish if she can unseat horrible Steve King.

        • August 16, 2011 at 4:45 pm

There is a pretty decent chance. Iowa redistricting left King with only around 40% of his former district, so while it’s still a R+4(IIRC), 60% of the voters he’s now vying for have never voted for him in the past so should be more up-for-grabs. Christie is probably the best recruit for the district given she has name value across the district already and will be seen as having strong connections to the White House through her husband. Also King is very odious, and given House terms are only 2 yrs moderate Republicans might vote for Christie this time to get rid of King, with the feeling they’ll vote for the new Republican in 2014 (2 years of strong connections to White House and Ag sec + get rid of King could be a good deal for moderate GOP).

President Obama is just the best. He always says just the right thing, encouraging words. Couldn’t believe that Ezra cut off Obama to bring on Chuck Todd for another of his negative reports. I didn’t stick around to hear Todd’s deep thoughts, switched back quickly to WH live stream.

Every time I watch the President on the teevee, I keep the remote in my hand. If one of the loser media types starts talking, I hit mute. If I accidentally have to hear a word or two before I mute ’em, my heart starts to beat fast. 🙂 They make ya crazy!

You’re kidding right. They love to listen to each other talk. They belong to an exclusive club…President Obama has rejected their invitation to join, part of why they busy themselves dissing him. Ezra Klein used to be reasonable…now we’ve lost him to the dark side?

  15. August 16, 2011 at 4:17 pm

This WH is really moving forward.

President Obama just joined Foursquare, but you probably won’t see him checking in to diners around Washington D.C. In fact, he won’t be checking in anywhere. He isn’t even the mayor of the White House — that honor goes to Foursquare user Aya M. with 41 check-ins. The nature of the White House’s new special account on the geocentric social network will emphasize offering “tips” from his travels rather than real-time reports of his whereabouts — a fact that’s sure to keep the Secret Service happy.

CNN showing the Beasty Bus rolling down the road lined with people waving, little kids with flags etc., just as Obama described it. Wolf has an Obama interview tease coming up and a full interview later. Don’t know what that will be like but Obama always handles even ridiculous questions very well.
