I happened to catch Wolf Blitzer interviewing Tom Vilsack. Wolf just can’t speak of anything positive and has to bring up what Republicans want.

watching, waiting… need these POTUS boosts today- they are FABULOUS 🙂 Mark Knoller one of the press corp who regularly tweets little snide comments about POTUS is continually tweeting that this is campaign stuff- not Presidential stuff.. are they pushing that meme on the media/tv also? What a load of bs.. GWBush could never find his way into America to actually talk / listen to the people of this nation except when he was campaigning- President Obama has been doing it since he took office.

President Obama unfiltered is the worst nightmare for MSM and the GOP. That’s why Mark Knoller and his colleagues are so cranky.

    • August 15, 2011 at 6:48 pm

I saw CBS evening news and they were lying on there saying outright the President was campaigning when he was hosting town halls! These people are despicable see I been done with cable I see the disease of cable is spreading..

Mark Knoller and his elk have been doing a piss poor job of educating and informing the public. So it’s up to President Obama to get the job done. Now all we hear is whining from them that President Obama is campaigning. That’s just hilarious. He is the president of the United States and all he is doing is providing the facts about what his administration is doing.

They really have been. Chuck Todd and Mark Knoller have been tweeting sarcastic snarky outright lies about PBO’s townhalls. Making it sound like some frivolous undertaking. It’s despicable. There are real people who show up to these townhalls and get answers to the questions that the media tries to obfuscate. The MSM always gets scared when PBO is out with the people, because no matter how much they try to lie and demonize PBO, he comes out smelling like roses. I thought the disease was only on cable, but it has spread to basic TV.

Bottom line, Chuck Todd and Mark Knoller and their colleagues are becoming irrelevant. I find MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS basically useless and unwatchable. And don’t get me started with the Sunday Shows. There is no one who can do a real interview where a politician is asked intelligent, pertinent questions and challenged when questions are not answered.

The media so predictable and so steadfastly contrarian. Why are they opining, I thought reporters were supposed to present facts. Who cares if Mark Knoller considers this campaigning……I don’t and I don’t appreciate his unsolicited opinion. Honestly unless there is an issue that deserves pushback on, these are the last people I want to hear anything from. I see lots of online comments, and various sites, that others are not listening either.

The media has not covered PBO’s past months of getting out and talking to the public each and almost every week so now that they decide to cover it it looks unusual. It looks like he is campaigning. They may have purposely set it up that way.

But they know he has been doing this since he began his administration. The MSM peddles in lies and false pretense. They know better. They are doing everything in their power to set the stage for a national showdown…because that will benefit their ratings and their bottom lines. They have no investment in the truth or the principles of good journalism.

PBO is speaking truth. He said if Speaker Boehner had taken the deal that PBO had on the table we wouldn’t be in this mess. The debt debate wouldn’t have been such a messy process.

Love it. PBO said that when offered 10 vs 1 spending cuts to tax increases, the GOP candidates rejected it. That shows him that they lack common sense and don’t know the meaning of compromise. So true.

I enjoy watching President Obama talk to the people. He is able to articulate his ideas and that’s what the PL, Teapugs, and MSM HATE about him! They can’t STAND a smart POTUS, they want a complete idiot which is why they are fawning over Rick the Dick Perry.

The young man just nailed Mitt Romney and the teaparty with that question. Mr. President why is it that during the 2010 elections, responsible democrats were thrown out of office and unqualified republicans were rewarded by being put into office. Why is it that out of state corporate interests fund the teaparty and try to destroy our democracy. The teaparty like to quote Thomas Jefferson and his supposed hate of big government; but they never talk about his other quote where he talks of his fear of moneyed interests in government. We have a teaparty that is backed by big corporations and a republican candidate who referred to Corporations as people. (*cough cough* Mitt Romney) How do you respond to that? Damn these townhalls are genius campaign ad galore for PBO and they show that a lot of the American people are paying attention to the messed up group that is the teaparty, the media, and the GOP. 2012 Here We Come!

Most of these Teapugs don’t know SHIT about Thomas Jefferson or shit about history period. They only know the TeaPug ReWrite of History as spewed by CrazyEyes Bachmann and the other Teapugs in Congress.

    • August 15, 2011 at 7:36 pm

He had such a thoughtful and important question! Bravo!

    • 39 dotster
      August 15, 2011 at 7:39 pm

That last question was the most important. I just wish that our news media could see that airing what the POTUS has to say is a billion times more important than what nonsense Snakeoil Salesman Rick Perry has to say. I would pay big money, if I had it, if every single American had the opportunity, or were required, to watch that town hall. It was that important. Truths revealed.

    • August 15, 2011 at 7:48 pm

Now UTALib, are you positive these questionners (earlier and now) were not plants? What proof do you have that Meta didn’t sneak in some TODers with prepared questions to both Town hall? *Cough! Cough!* 😉 😆 It’s extremely reassuring to get a peek at the rest of the country – the voters not shown by the MSM. Roll on 2012 and OBAMA/BIDEN!

Oh baby, President Obama is calling out the Republicans for blocking the appointment of a director to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I am so glad he is getting this information out to the American people. You can just imagine the number of Americans who are totally unaware of these shenanigans. Who could be against an agency that is protecting the interests of the American people? This is what the MSM and the GOP can’t tolerate = the facts getting out.

  17. 43 nintendowii10
    August 15, 2011 at 7:34 pm

I recall how the media BITCHED AND BITCHED AND BITCHED AND BITCHED about President Obama not having ANY towhalls or pressers. Now they whine about him having TOO MANY townhalls and pressers 😯

I just have to shake my head in shame. After all, this is the same media that thinks that Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann all have what it takes to be President. I’ve had enough of their attacking this President and masquerading it as “criticism,” where was ALL THIS CRITICISM WHEN BUSH WAS IN OFFICE?

This is the reality TV influence of our MSM. Politics makes the perfect backdrop for their drama productions and theater of the absurd.

  18. August 15, 2011 at 7:35 pm

OMG!!! I think PBO went up to that guy who was talking over him when PBO asked for the last question. Remember how PBO was like:” I’ll talk to you after this” I think the guy was talking about PBO’s rhetoric and he was like: “yeah, I believe in toning down rhetoric especially as the Kenyan who wanted to destroy this country because I wanted to pass universal health care….” Well I think as he was shaking hands, he made his way to the guy and PBO was talking to him for a few minutes and I saw a lady clapping her hands as PBO talked to the guy. Then PBO moved on and the guy was still talking. Whoa. Obviously didn’t learn the lesson PBO was teaching him.

    August 15, 2011 at 7:36 pm

Just finished watching the Decorah town hall. I have never seen anyone in office or who aspired to public office, who can do what PBO does so effortlessly. He has all of this information in his head on a variety of current issues, knows history and can apply it to situations posed by the questions and he does not lose the thread of questions that have various parts. On top of all of this, he does so with humor and civility, even when he calls out his opponents. None of the republican pretenders can even come close. How could anyone who has even a modicum of sense, vote for anyone else? PBO is in a class by himself it is a pleasure to watch him work in this type of setting.

When the other side uses idiotic arguments against PBO like he can only talk from a teleprompter, or he doesn’t care about America, I can hardly believe they are that dumb. Anyone can see for themselves those things are out and out lies just from PBO’s actions.

I think this bus tour is a fantastic idea. President Obama is putting the Republican Party on notice. From now on you can expect me to make sure the American people are aware of your obstruction, filibustering, delaying and hostage taking tactics. Then the American people can decide if you deserve their vote. There will be a clear distinction made between Democratic and Republican agendas.

I personally would like for the Democrats to make it a practice to let the American people know EXACTLY HOW REPUBLICANS ARE VOTING on important legislation. The voters need to know how their representatives are voting. The media has been giving the GOP a pass. So it will take President Obama and the Democrats to pull back the curtain and expose the Un-American and unpatriotic behavior of the GOP.

What’s incredible is that pundits like Tweety and Ezra are against this bus tour…that’s crazy! PBO is at his best when he is out with the people. I hope at least Tweety felt better when Pres Obama said he would offer a jobs bill in Sept. But I swear, if PBO wasn’t out there they would be saying ‘why isn’t he using the bully pulpit?’

That is so sad because I think PBO really defended govt and liberalism. I only watched a few minutes of Ed Schultz before turning. Sounded like he was gonna start complaining about PBO’s union comments…

Great Sue. I am thinking of new ways to get out there using my time to relax. So I am starting my walk along the outside mall in my city where I live(it is 99% RED. I will make my cardiologist happy with me(even though I have my exercise in the privacy of my condo; I am planning to start taking a 35 min., walk 3 times per week wearing my 2012 button. Just looking in the different stores. This will be exercise for me, getting the message out,and who knows maybe making new conversation when they stare at me too long.(I will ask ,”May I help you?”) I am grateful that I know the chief of police and all of my city councilpersons. Not afraid though. Not breaking any law, just exercising my rights. But the looks are amazing. I want the looks, but I also am praying that I might meet someone who might be listening to POTUS and just might start up a conversation that is workable and positive. No nonsense with me is rule number one. So pray for me TOD family.

    • August 15, 2011 at 8:18 pm

Did he raise money at it/off of it? Than it’s not a campaign event. I mean can’t the President travel to meet with the people? To answer their questions? The Republicans have been in campaign mode since before President Obama was even sworn in – and yet the MSM somehow wants to try and tie both hands behind his back, and maybe a leg too. He can be called a Marxist, Socialist, Communist, Mau Mau supporter Muslim Anti-Christ non-American and all are played by the MSM as legitimate and yet calling Mitt Romney “weird” is some how a huge story and an attack on his religion? Stay Classy Perry…and we will see how far you get…

Texas Governor Rick Perry, who entered the presidential campaign on Saturday, appeared to suggest a violent response would be warranted should Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke “print more money” between now and the election. Speaking just now in Iowa, Perry said, “If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I dunno what y’all would do to him in Iowa but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in history is almost treasonous in my opinion.” Treason is a capital offense.

However, seeing them all together especially with his girls is such a pleasure. Let us pray for them to have such a wonderful time as much as possible. I need to make a loan pretty soon from my brother to stock up on more candles. I just did a run for candles this past week. Got to keep the house relaxed, comfortable, and with much positive thoughts and much prayer for the good things to happen for our President, our country, and our Chips with her TOD family. I love you all so much, HZ
