I love how she called out Eric Cantor for going on Neil Cavuto’s Fox News show and giving Delta airlines a pass for their hand in the FAA mess. Cantor basically excused their immorality and the fact that they would be keeping the tax revenue that was supposed to go to the government by saying they were a business and business is all about the bottom line. His heartlessness is so disgusting. Business might be business, but human beings work at businesses and it is not fair to wreck their futures because you can’t pull your head out of your corporate gasbag ass. He then went on Jim Cramer and started whining about unemployment and lack of jobs and blaming President Obama’s poilicies when it was he and his teabagger caucus that were willing to bring the economy to the brink of disaster and when Cramer asked him if he would be willing to extend unemployment insurance and payroll tax cuts like President Obama is advocating so that more employers can hire people, money goes into peoples pockets, and money can be pumped back into the economy, he began dodging the question and said he would have to think about that idea some more. Cramer sounded so disgusted with him.

Ugh, can someone explain to me .WTF is this hard-on Tweety has against the POTUS “bus-tour”?

Isn’t this exactly what he should be doing? Taking his message to the people. IMHO, this is yet another way the administration can bypass the national press who seem to be all about the rating, and go directly to the local news coverage where more people who are not national news junkies?

Tweety is getting all full of himself, like many of the others (Jon Stewart). He knows best, you see, and at one point today while giving his “tips from the top”, he asked very condescendingly of Obama, “Get it?” Ugh. There aren’t too many on the teevee where you can count on any continuous, genuine, deep, heartfelt positions. So many whom we want to like and depend on for some truth telling end up fluctuating all over the place, changing with the wind or with a whim. It’s disheartening, and, as you said, it is the likely reason for the bus tour and the opportunity to get around these shallow pundits and speak directly to the public.

Did you all see this ?

A government official tells ABC News that the federal government is expecting and preparing for bond rating agency Standard & Poorโ€™s to downgrade the rating of US debt from its current AAA value.

Officials reasons given will be the political confusion surrounding the process of raising the debt ceiling, and lack of confidence that the political system will be able to agree to more deficit reduction. A source says Republicans saying that they refuse to accept any tax increases as part of a larger deal will be part of the reason cited.

The official was unsure if the bond rating would be AA+ or AA.
