‘all presidents should be so loved’

Jonathan Capehart (Washington Post): …. I want to dispute Peggy Noonan’s assertion that “nobody loves Obama” ….  she didn’t talk to my ex, Giuseppe, an Italian who came to this country to pursue the American Dream and fell head over heels for Barack Obama in 2007 …. Giuseppe has become my Obama barometer. If the president loses Giuseppe, he’s sunk.

Giuseppe remains firmly in the president’s corner. I asked him to read Noonan’s op-ed and to send me his reaction. Read it for yourself.

Don’t believe her!
I LOVE the guy, and I LOVE the family.
Instinctively. I connect to him like I have never connected with any politician EVER before . . . here or in Italy.
The man could be my friend. He speaks my language, he is smart, he is funny. I could hang out with him any time. I feel I would talk to him or share my life with him like he was you, or Marques, or Willie, or Maurice or ada!
I guess Noonan doesn’t know nobody like us! Or more simply she is just practicing the most popular sport among conservatives. . . . which is ganging up on him . . . cause he is too smart, real and genuine in a way that they could never be .. . .because they live in another reality, one that is shrinking up around them.
It’s time for these people to start realizing that this country and this world do not revolve around them and that they DEFINITELY are NOT the future of this country! And what they believe in and want will matter less and less, it’s just a matter of time.

Giuseppe watched Obama slog through politically debilitating events such as health care, the gulf oil spill, the battle to end “don’t ask don’t tell” – and now this debt-ceiling fight that has the United States staring at default or downgrade or both for the first time in history. And his faith in the man has not wavered one bit.

All presidents should have such “grim support” or be so loved.

Thanks Proud 😉

Here’s another excellent piece from Capehart this week:

The headline of Jackie Calmes’s “White House Memo” today in the New York Times is a source of great consternation and agitation for me. “President on Sidelines in Critical Battle Over Debt Ceiling” reflects the Beltway meme that President Obama is invisible in this epic fight over raising the debt ceiling. That he was pushed off the stage by Congress to get this done. As the chatter in the echo chamber reinforced itself, folks glossed over or forgot that the president ordered Congress to come up with a plan.

At a dramatic, post-market-close news conference at the White House Friday, Obama announced that the grand bargain he and Speaker John Boehner had been working on for weeks had collapsed. Clearly exasperated, the president issued a command to Congress…..

…. Obama can’t win, it seems. Calmes writes today, “Mr. Obama is in danger of seeming a spectator at one of the most critical moments of his presidency.” Yet, last week Peggy Noonan declared, “It is time for the president to get out of the way.” Obama is not perfect. Watching how he goes about governing is akin to riding in the front seat of a roller coaster without a lap bar. But at no point do I ever think he’s disengaged or been invisible.

As we saw with the killing of Osama bin Laden, the ending of “don’t ask, don’t tell” and even the secret talks between Obama and Boehner over a big deal on the debt ceiling, this president by and large eschews theatrics for getting stuff done. And this drives people crazy.

For better or worse, we have a president who firmly believes that Congress is a co-equal branch of government. Just as the Founders envisioned….

If by Tuesday, Aug. 2, Congress has not passed a bill or if it has put forth one the president can’t sign, it will be incumbent upon him to take control to save the nation’s economy, assuming lasting damage hasn’t already been done. And if or when he does, there better not be a complaint from anyone.

yeah I guess Noonan Is a hater like the rest of the Rethuglicans 😦 😦 Not only Is he Smart Brilliant, and a Human Being that just so happens to be nice, kind, and a President for ALL the People, and the World too, I might add. He Is truly the *ONLY* Adult In the roome. Chew on this Ms Noonan ,

I am there with him! I allowed myself to fully examine why I support President Obama…it was a great exercise and I am happy I took the time do it. I weighed what I see as his pros and cons, I pictured another person doing exactly what he is doing and concluded that had this been Sir Joe Blow doing exactly the same thing Obama is doing, I would support him.

So, like Giuseppe, I support President Obama and I am still in love with him. Not because he is cute, young and hip or even because he broke a glass ceiling, but because his heart is in the right place and he is working in the best, interest of ALL America. What more can I ask for?

Obviously, Noonan only asked rethugs like herself how they felt about PBO. She should read our blogs and she will see all of the love flowing for PBO and his family. What is she smoking?????

    • July 30, 2011 at 3:38 pm

You’re right, CTGirl, but let me add a “NOT JUST BECAUSE” to your statement: “We continue to love him NOT JUST BECAUSE he’s cute, young, hip …” President Obama is definitely those things and much more. He is really something special. We’re more than lucky to have him as our leader in these perilous times.

I spent the better part of the wee hours of this morning looking at old “random photos and videos ” of the President from the past that Chipsticks has posted over to the right side of this webpage. It’s just amazing how consistently compassionate and intellectually brilliant the man has been since at the tender age of 22 he decided to become a community organizer on the streets of Chicago. In one of those old videos, he eloquently states how he made a conscious decision to choose “values” over “money ” after finishing college at Columbia University and later going back to earn a law degree from prestigious Harvard. And, course, as everyone knows, he went on to become a state senator, a US senator, and now President of the United States of America. God bless him.

Yes, Mr. President, we love you and we’re still behind you all the way.

I don’t know what parallel universe that Peggy woman lives in but in the real world I know many people who not only love but who adore President Obama and I am one of many. I love him because of his fierce intelligence, his love of country and fellow countrymen and women even if some of them who hate him do not deserve his love. I love his empathy and his ability to connect with people of all walks of life. I love his strength of conviction and his tenacity to get a job done in the most difficult of circumstances. I love the way he can light up a room with his thousand megawat smile and the way he takes control of any situation. I love the way he ‘talks softly yet wields a big stick’. I love the man for a million different reasons but most of all I love him because he is President Barack Obama, the full package, the greatest President of my lifetime and because a long while back when I was going through a real tough time I heard one of his speeches and realized that there was HOPE.

I have been so down the last few days but I realize that no matter what happens over the next few days or weeks we are all so blessed that Barack Obama is President of the United States. He has and always will have my support.

I’ld like to add that in America conservatives can enjoy their freedom to live small, bitter and phobic lives. But the rest of us would appreciate it if you stop attempting to bring your despair to our parade. Stop projecting your fears on those who reject fear.

I posted this yesterday in response to BWD’s depressing post here, trying to cheer her up – but I’m going to repost it now (with tweeks and corrections) because I feel it’s important. I also posted this over on that ridiculous, UNCOURCED, POS on Obama supporting a short-term extension on the debt ceiling:

When some asshole said, “are you ready to primary Obama yet?”

😈 (so fucking sick of that shit) so I said:

You need to calm the FRAK down. Obama has handled this brilliantly. Why has our side lost all VISION??? Have you NEVER EVER played any strategy games? Look, I know that the DEMS cave constantly and we’re used to that – but stop saying Obama does it when he’s had a crap back up team and never had 60 magical votes.

    – How can you reason with the insane? You can’t shout, or they crawl into their CrazyCave®. You can’t bully, they will only become louder Tantrum Toddlers. These people are not based in REALITY, so behaving in a normal way, won’t work. How is it that only Obama can see that clearly?

    – The LAST THING President Obama can EVER BE (as much as we’d all love it) is an ANGRY BLACK MAN. (How well has that worked out for Alan West?) Clinton, FDR, Ike, could all get angry. Obama KNOWS he doesn’t have that luxury.

    – PBO asked for a clean bill. The GOP saw and grabbed an opportunity to tie it to their ransom demand. How’s that been working out for them?

    – Every single day that goes by, more people are PAYING ATTENTION, LEARNING what the Debt Ceiling IS and what the consequences are if there is a DEFAULT (Millions of Americans have been late on their CCs and had their rates go up, have lost their homes because they couldn’t pay their mortgage, etc., have declared BK, and had their own PERSONAL credit ratings lowered – they UNDERSTAND.)

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE see how insane the Teaparty is, how much they hate the GOV and want to destroy it. That all their hate is based on one man, and that hatred is so deep they’re willing to destroy the country because of it. They are GOLEM, and will jump into The Fires of Mordor to get The One Ring – even if that destroys them all.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE see WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for this mess – two wars, tax cuts for the rich – all that weren’t paid for, or on the books and never in any budget.

    – Every single day the GOP HouseOfCrazy® gets more dysfunctional. And the GOP/Teaspoons OWN THAT.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE understand that the Government actually DOES create jobs. More jobs in fact, than ANY private company, and NEEDS MONEY TO DO IT.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE see that the GOV NEEDS MONEY if there is an EMERGENCY – and a “Balanced Budget Amendment” would be ultimately devistating because the Constitution can’t make Earthquakes and Hurricanes illegal. That we have to have MONEY if Iran decides they want to attack us.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE SEE that President Obama is THE ONLY ADULT IN THE ROOM.

    – Every single day the GOP/KOCH INC MEDIA sees how fast a majority of Americans answer PBO’s CALL TO ACTION.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE are figuring out that the GOP are only CUTTING JOBS (FAA, etc) not creating them.

    – Every single day MORE PEOPLE are seeing there isn’t much of a difference between Bin Laden & Al Qaeda wanting to destroy the US Economy, and the Tea Party wanting the same thing.

    – Every single day we get closer to President Obama getting exactly what he wanted: A CLEAN BILL, NO SPENDING CUTS, and will he will ALLOW THE BUSH TAX CUTS EXPIRE.

There will be no invoking of the 14th, because EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. MORE PEOPLE are reading “Section 5: The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.” and understand this is the job of CONGRESS, and they’re LEGALLY BOUND TO RAISE IT, or ***declare the debt ceiling unconstitutional.***

The longer this goes on, the bigger Obama’s EPIC WIN will be. I doubt if the EmoProgs will ever see it. They’ve become more concerned with the process than the outcome. Obama could walk on water, and they’d moan that he was being lazy for swimming.

Stay strong people. Believe. CHILL THE FUCK OUT – HE’S GOT THIS.

Tally, THANK YOU! You have put into words what we are all feeling at the moment. An in addition to that, may I add FRUSTRATION is the single most debilitating feeling? Frustration born of a feeling of helplessness as the media, Noonan et all, try and condemn this President, while failing to do their jobs in pointing out the lies and deception that the Republicans have been spewing. It makes me SICK, I tell you. The false equivalence that has become the meme of Washington has been spawned by by the media, resulting in a discussion that is so far to the right of anything we’ve ever seen before that I firmly believe we now need an extreme/liberal left wing to counter the extreme right wing vision of the so-called tea party “Patriots.” And therein lies the conundrum. The strength of Democrats has always been the ability to respect opposing views. But this very same strength has now become a hindrance in this ugly, highly partisan environment. I don’t, for a single moment, blame President Obama. His job, as president, is to stay above the fray and govern the entire country. Never has any president had to battle opposition this rabid and hatred this rabid. I will work tirelessly for his re-election, but I’m hoping that the extreme left can get some representatives and senators elected/converted, because otherwise, we, as a country, are doomed, if this debt-ceiling drama is any indication of how things are likely to be in the coming months.

Unfortunately Rita, the self-appointed spokespeople for the left have done almost as much attacking and disparaging of President Obama as the horrid republicans…

It has people like me who previously identified proudly as radical liberal Leftie with such a distaste for anyone who aligns with these destructive loudmouths…

It is hard to forgive the destruction some on the left have wrought with their misinformation and hysterical attacks on President Obama…

We expected the worst from the Regressives on the right, but I was completely blindsided by the venom from the left…

Chi, I agree that the left has attacked the President indiscriminately and left many of us wondering where all that venom materialized from! But what I’m talking about is a left that supports the President, even while forwarding an agenda that counters the extremism of the right. Might we be able to do this? I don’t know, but honestly, I don’t see any other solution to the choke hold the extreme right has placed on this country. It has already lead to destructive legislation and a downward spiral.

Thank you FTL. I concur with you completly. This is exactly what I do. I know we will get through this. I have been through a lot this same type of hateful and evilness that the President in my lifetime, and I concur FTL, it was my faith and strong leaning on what my grandparents modeled for me as a young child, and then the steady reinforcement of those teachings and love of encouraging words of “Keep working hard, know who you are and fight with all of your heart.” I made it and when this ugly evil monster raises its head, that is what keeps me from falling. I do believe that the strength we put forth here and the many good and decent people who are intelligent, compassionate, caring in their works and words, and supporting POB will prevail. People who nourish on love and goodness will move through the storm more graceful and strongly than those who feed on hate, evil, and hatefulness. These people will be judge severely someday soon, I feel. We stand together with this President. It is hard to do in this hate and evilness, but we can make great progress because President Barack Obama will not give in or up.

Noonan and others on the Professsional left have a tough time with the Tall Tan President as nuch as those on the right….in fact if you were to peal that thin “liberal” veneer off od rhwm you would find a right winger and their allies…..if and i say IF….Noonan and her Professional Left allies voted for the President ….they feel as if they own him…that he owes them something for their vote…and that he should be exceeding grateful for that vote..enough so that he should bend down and kiss their foot….

      Never will this President….do that….

Interesting tho….the TP/Repubs are called out because they won’t compromise….yet Noonan and the gang call out the President because he does….

      I believe …..

that at the last moment..the Congress will send a CLEAN bill to raiise the debt limit …to the President…and he will sign it…

this will be orchestrated…by Pelosi finding some sane repubs in the House.to vote…to just raise the debt limit…..and that Reid will do the same thing in the Senate….

Giuseppe, you are the voice that the commentators are trying so hard to suppress. You have it right – keep on telling it just like it is! I’ll add my own “grim support”: As I’ve said many times, this President is by far the best President in my lifetime and I’m in my late 60’s. I not only support him, admire him and tell the world about it – I absolutely LOVE this man. He is in a class by himself, a role model as a human being, a parent, a public servant and our President. I often wish I could be more like him when I get aggravated with the sheer evil of some of his detractors and furious with the media for their lack of objectivity and simple fairness. I wish I could be calm and refrain from denunciation. I wish I could always be focused on what is important to others before I think about what matters to me. I wish I could be disciplined to always listen to those who disagree with me in case I might have missed an important point. I wish I could maintain a work ethic that calls for sacrificing my own personal time when the situation demands it. I wish I could always be positive, cooperative and ready to engage with those who have deliberately hurt me if my doing so will help improve the lives of others. All of this I see in this President and no columnist or media mogul will ever change that.

    • July 30, 2011 at 3:44 pm

Yeah, I hear ya’, I often wish I could be more level headed, when the going gets tough, but the Good Lord ain’t finish with me yet, so here I struggle to reach that goal. I believe PBO has the Love Of God all around him, and I believe that God has his Angels all around him, his Family, and his entire Administration.. Look, we the People elected him, but I believe In my heart, that God *CHOSE* him. I too am In my late 60’s and I’m here to tell ya’ that I never ever saw a President that keeps In touch with the People, and fight hard for the poor, and middle-class People. This President sounds like he has read his Bible, and knows what JESUS would do, In my opinion. God’s got this President In his hands 🙂

I do respect that, but as you stated, I do believe the President and what he states about his faith. I believe him because I can also see the fruits that his spirit bears daily. I believe also that this President is surrounded by God’s protection and angels of love and spiritual grace. The President is going to be fine, and we are going to make it through this. The things that hurt me most of all is the lies that these people are standing on the floor right this minute. Sen. Rand Paul is lying , that hurts. I hate liars, Yes I hate people lying on people.

What a wonderful picture of the President. I love him more every day. He doesn’t telegraph his moves. He’s not a drama queen. He’s steady and strong and he gets shit done. I’m behind him 100%.

The congressional switchboard is open. Or you can call their offices direct. I just called and did reach an aide today for my Republican senators office. I’ve called Cantor, Boehner, Lugar, Coates, Rep. Burton. There’s more but I forget now.

If you listen to the Teaparty people and some of the Republicans on the floor(right now), these people are on the floor and they are crazy and evil. Listen to Rand Paul spewing lying and constanly bashing the President. That is what is so evil and hateful. These people are playing with the wrong President. And Rand Paul with his evil self is standing up there lying about what we want. I do not want what these fools are talking about. Pray and keep Senator Durbin in your prayers right now because Sen. Maybe if Jonathan Capehart had shown the President the respect he deserved when DADT was repealed, instead of jumping on the Rachel Maddow bash Obama bandwagon, Peggy Noonan would have had one less arrow in her quiver.

But thanks for the article anyway. To coin a phrase so popular when Obama fulfilled his campaign promise less than 2 years into his presidency,

    “too little too late.”

  19. July 30, 2011 at 3:45 pm

“Don’t believe her [the Noonan chick]! I LOVE the guy, and I LOVE the family. Instinctively. I connect to him like I have never connected with any politician EVER before . . . . The man could be my friend. He speaks my language, he is smart, he is funny. …” Giuseppe

” … I support President Obama and I am still in love with him…because his heart is in the right place and he is working in the best, interest of ALL America. CTGirl

Exactly Giuseppe and CTGirl! This president elicits an instinctive reaction from/connection with millions (dare I say billions?) across the globe and Noonan’s hatred won’t change that FACT. Of course, for a minority the reaction is steeped in jealousy and even hatred, but it seems to me that he is such a phenomenon that he can’t be ignored. He has made, and IMO will continue to make, a profound impact on American and world history. Indeed, ‘all presidents (world leaders) should be so loved’!

I just looked at that picture again. I was thinking that I’ve never had this feeling of connection with any other President. He’s definitely the leader, but I feel like I’m working with him. I feel included. And I love that feeling.

As I looked at the picture I noticed the image of the lights around his head. Unity church is a very, very positive church and they have a free prayer line. I called about him. The prayer of the woman who answered was like a song that came straight from her heart. I was in tears and I can’t remember all of it. But she was saying he was a light for us. I definitely feel that’s true. She said people don’t know it but millions of people have called for prayers for him. Whenever I feel concerned I remember that and that all of us are connected sending love to him.

Anyone else wants to call, it’s toll free and very loving. 1-800-669-7729.

Peggy Noonan is a dried up old prune of a bitch who sucks on the teat of Reagan and is going batshit crazy with how much love and support President Obama receives from BILLIONS of people. She saw how much “grim support” President Obama had when she got hit hard on twitter and her website crashed due to the justified outrage of millions of people who read or heard about her despicable hack job of an article.

Anyhow Reid and Pelosi are currently at the white house in talks with the President and Boehner and McConnell are now back in talks with POTUS after they walked away like wimps. Boehner has called for a meeting with 45 moderate republicans (if there is such a thing) who call themselves the tuesday group and he is telling them that any debt ceiling bill has to pass with bi-partisan support and they need to find a way to try and work with democrats in the house. So hopefully there’ll be progress made.

Well the “tuesday group” is 45 republicans who label themselves as moderates. They chose the name “tuesday group” because the debt ceiling deadline is Tuesday, August 2, 2011. They believe Boehner has to come to them, work with them, and try to convince them that a final debt ceiling bill (whatever that looks like; if there will be one; there might just be a clean debt ceiling bill) will have cuts that will appease them and their constituents so they can hopefully try and work with democrats to vote for a bi-partisan bill because the teabaggers sure won’t help Boehner now.

“If Congress doesn’t act by Tuesday, America won’t be able to pay all of its bills,” one version of the ad begins. “

Social Security checks, veterans benefits, military pay — all could be at risk because Congressman Bobby Schilling and congressional Republicans want to protect tax breaks for millionaires, oil companies and corporate jets.

So if the check you or your family depends on doesn’t arrive, thank Congressman Schilling.

    30 July 2011

    Dear Mr President,

Given your decades of community service, your exceptional intellect, your palpable empathy and simply amazing-from-the-heart smile, it might appear to some that your pragmatic approach to complex issues, your willingness to treat the Congress as a co-equal branch of government with whom to build consensus through compromise are signs of weakness.

So often these past 2 1/2 years we’ve heard the braying of some on the left of ‘cave’ as you rather stunningly achieved one legislative, often historical, victory for all Americans. Those legislative victories have already proven a bounty to our economy, to the health and inalienable rights of our fellow citizens, and more. In the face of it you demonstrate yet another obvious trait – humility.

But, you’ve also done a few things that should have alerted the dimwitted extortionists in the Republican Congress and their monied enablers.

You ordered a daring rescue of a hostage – Captain Richard Phillips.

With remarkable speed and minimum deference to those whom certainly would have caused delay, you built an alliance and issued the necessary orders thereby saving thousands of Libyans certain death and launching them on their path to self-determined freedom from a tyrant and terrorist.

And then you took out Osama bin Laden.

Through those acts you demonstrated something those that should have been paying attention, still haven’t.

It is crystal clear that when you are confronted with a colossal catastrophe in the making or a highly complex, ultra-dangerous task, you will work diligently to gather the facts and then you will take decisive action.

You know the history of Section 4 of the 14th Amendment.

You know that we have a group of individuals in the Congress prepared to cause irreparable harm to our Republic by defaulting on our debt. The harm would make the economic aftermath of 9/11 and the GBW recession of 2008-2001 look like hiccups. Way beyond the immediate and long-term economic disaster, the credibility of the USA would be defunct.

For radical Republicans and their enablers it’s a three-fer: roll back the past 60 years of our social compact, protect the wealthiest few, and damage the black guy’s chances of re-election.

That must not happen. Extraordinary, unprecedented, totally predictable damage requires extraordinary, definitive preventive action.

Mr President, based on your performance, not your words, we are fortunate that you are President, today. In the next 48 h you will, once again, need to remind the Republican hostage takers not to mess with you and the Republic that you serve with exceptional courage, intelligence and decisiveness.

    Thank you,

I haven’t commented here before, but I come here several times a day and feel part of the family. I thank God for this site and for The Only Adult in the Room. It seems that every summer is a time of trial for us when all the negative forces conspire to sap our energy and bring us down and just when we think things can’t get any more depressing, our president manages to turn the ugly around and hope comes with the autumn breezes. Despite the best efforts of his enemies to bring the economy down, the president won’t let it happen. He’ll find a way and it will be fair to everyone. To to all the great family members here–Tally, Africa, HZ, Doris, etc and to the great Chopsticks, thanks for the home and the haven. You are truly inspirational! We will get through this and we’ll be strong than ever. And don’t forget to give the president a little love and money for his birthday. He’s had to postpone his fundraising tours because of the neanderthals in Congress, but we don’t have to postpone our giving.

He IS the American dream…he came from an ordinary background, like 99.9% of Americans, he worked hard, made good choices, married a wonderful woman, has built with her a delightful family, and through all this cares about ALL of us.
I still remember seeing him in 2007 in Oklahoma City, he said the same things he is saying now. Politics is NOT a game, it is work, the work of the American people. He was inspiring then, he is more so now. I cried reading Giuseppe’s letter…he expressed what I know tens of millions of us feel. As hard as the far left and far right try to delegitimize him, they can’t.
Today at the grocery store I saw a family of three…Caucasian husband and wife, with a darling boy of mixed background in the cart…the pride and love in their eyes was palpable. He was obviously adopted and wanted. I immediately thought of our President. This boy was beautiful, like our President, andI pray he will grow up to have the heart our President does. That is the future, now bitter old women like Peggy Noonan. She is to be pitied, but she also needs to be ignored. Thank you to all of you who are writing on this site….

That family picture you shared is quite touching, Carolyn! I agree President Obama is really a president with his eye on the future, the first politician to make me confront the fact that governing is not a game. I believe he has a very strong sense of what he wants to accomplish for THE FUTURE. I see it in his actions, I hear it in his every day utterances AND I see it in his, and his wife’s, very real interaction with children and young people. I think you are right – we need to ignore ‘bitter old women like Peggy Noonan’ whether they are male or female.

Carolyn, thank you for sharing. I know that POB will be successful. That little young man that you saw today is why we are here trying as hard as we can at our ages as well to encourage our precious young people who saw the gift in President Obama and elected him as President of the United States. Just look at the history of that. Remember he said, “America, change has come to America tonight.” And it has for you, for me, and for that little young child. Now is the time to move that beautiful change forward and not backwards to the vessels find with hate and political games. Life is not a game. It is a precious gift. Then there is the living of that life that is so important to the entire world. I would rather be on the side of great produuctive history with a President who has a mind like no other President that I have seen in my lifetime(I am 66 going on 67). Plus, to see these wonderful young people so engage in this Presidency reminds me of the time I was so engaged with John F. Kennedy and then Bobby Kennedy. We must give these young people(some were not even born, but some were,) and even their parents were seeing these great men come forth and awaken the forces of the better angels in them. Now we have the opportunity to give them the great gift that our President has been given to spread the wealth of goodness from hard work, hard studies, and focus to rise to their greatest potential. Let us not miss this opportunity.. Let us stand with, behind, and alongside of this great President to move forward with grace and greatness for their futures. I with my young people here. I love you all so very much.HZ

The problem that Peggy, and other Barack Obama detractors have, is that the President is so well loved by millions of people here, and around the world. Please spare us from your future meltdowns Peggy; either have them in the privacy of your home, or take a valium.

I think she Peggy is still living in the Reagen days. She looks like it. According to her Reagen could do anything including walk on water.I think she work for him also.

I hope Michelle and the girls are taking care of him. Right now he needs alittle extra loving.

He needs our support and love more than ever right now. I can’t imagine how difficult his life must be while all this is going on.

paxgirl, he will be just fine. With the love of his family, his wife and two daughters, his support from friends, and the pray and support from all those who support and believe in him. He will be just fine. I believe that. What don’t kill you will make you that much stronger.

That Noonan piece is complete rubbish. Obama a loser? You’ve got to be kidding! Our President is 8 shades of AWESOME.
