Boner is so incompetent and incalcitrant that he refuses to even appeal to Democratic member of the house that could get him out of this mess. There are enough sane Republicans (at least on this issue) in the House to vote with all the Democrats on a clean bill and they could take care of this IMMEDIATELY. But the Drunk Tangerine doesn’t know how to lead, how to compromise, how to put country first. He’d rather go down in flames with the teabags.

Fool! Worst Speaker in History! ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

TP has a fun way of demonstrating the lunacy of the Republicans, but I didn’t want to spoil the fun for all of you by pointing it out directly ๐Ÿ™‚

Bob, this is AWESOME. This is what we need to be demanding over twitter – a CLEAN BILL.

      ANY cuts now are BAD.

This is the moment – we need to seize it!!!

I just called and told the woman to please tell my fellow Teabaggers to hold strong and not vote for Tangerine’s Bill, it doesn’t go far enough. I think she new I was an Obamacrat because I couldn’t hide the anger in my voice. Off I go to call my real Liberal Dem Rep to support the President regardless of the outcome.

The President was very calm. They are trying so hard for him to lose it….not a chance.

Hey guys, I didn’t watch Andrea Mitchell but I see a lot of push back on twitter

From what I can see, she told people not to call congressmen?

    Is that it?

    • July 29, 2011 at 11:51 am

Yeah Christi, She said that our calls would cause a backlash, that it would anger the repugs and get their backs up (paraphrasing). I always kick myself when I don’t turn of my TV IMMEDIATELY after the president finishes speaking.

She’s trying to silence the people and thwart the democratic process. She’s a tool, and just like the Republicans, she knows perfectly well that the GOP loses when people are engaged. I’m glad there was pushback on Twitter.

      • July 29, 2011 at 12:07 pm

who does she think she is? Going directly against PBO’s imperative? Does she suddenly think that bc she carries GOP water that she now has a voice to use against PBO? Can we tweet, e-mail and call her to let her know that her voice doesn’t matter.

Her twitter handle is @mitchellreports and she has been receiving a LOT of backlash from that comment. A LOT. It’s freaking awesome! She angered so many people that people began calling, emailing, and tweeting their reps like mad! Let the revolution begin! ๐Ÿ˜€

Who is she trying to fool? They are feeling the pressure. That’s why she doesn’t want folks to call, tweet, fax, e-mail, Facebook, etc. They can’t handle what they’re dishing out! HA!

    • July 29, 2011 at 12:36 pm

What? Are you kidding me? Now, we know why they have been silent about the rousing response to the president’s call to action. Who does she think she is?

Can someone please double tweet her for me.

      The unmitigated gall.

Loved the President’s speech. He called for Americans to call congressmembers again and people have listened. Twitter is on fire with links to emails, twitter handles and phone numbers of congressmembers. And Luke Russert just reported that congressional aides are getting flooded with calls. One republican congressman tweeted that peoplee should flood the White House with calls. He got a backlash from people on twitter. It was funny ๐Ÿ˜† President Obama just tweeted that people should call congress. I love this POTUS. He is reminding everyone that we have a VOICE.

    • July 29, 2011 at 12:40 pm

And Miss Andrea Mitchell, whose husband had a lot to do with the faltering economy wants to use her little platform to deceive people. I would love to read some of the tweets she is getting. I hope she gets major, macho-mucho, grande push back.

I am so happy to hear that people are listening to this president and not the tools we have on TV.

The teaheads like to talk big in front of cameras, but they do not want to be questioned by email, fax, phone, or Twitter to explain their positions on any issue. They want us to sit down and shut up. They’re madder than hell that PBO has told us to call them and make our voices heard. Every last one of the teaheads is the worst kind of coward who’s been hiding behind the Koch Bros, Wall St, and their other corporate and financial backers–until now, and they hate it. Too bad. PBO’s harnessing of technology to make a difference is just what this country needs.

I want to express my gratitude to Eric Cantor. The President told you not to call his bluff and you did Eric. Not only did you tick off the President but you ticked off his allies, sane Americans from across the political spectrum. My recommendation for next time Eric is to pick a different fight and more importantly pick a different opponent.

Hey guys for those who don’t tweet, there’s a tweet that’s been trending despite twitter not liking it and it’s called (excuse the language) #FuckYouWashington. ๐Ÿ˜† Well, Contessa Brewer of MSNBC was just talking to DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and she told DWS that President Obama has started a mini revolution telling everyone to call, email, and now tweet their congressmember. She then mentioned if Debbie was aware of the trending topic #FuckYouWashington on twitter and how people have been using that hashtag to express their frustration with Washington and ask congressmembers to COMPROMISE, GET SERIOUS, SUPPORT PRESIDENT OBAMA, AND BEHAVE LIKE ADULTS. DWS said she and other congressmembers were aware of the calls, emails and tweets and that democrats are listening to people and have compromised per the Reid bill. Repubs are the ones not compromising and sticking to their guns. My point is that the media and congressmembers are aware of the pushback initiated by PBO and we should NEVER give up the fight because our voices are loud and strong; especially on twitter due to the fast instant communication. If you want to take a gander at the trending hashtag, I’ve provided a link below.

You’re right UT – PBO has the people fired up, and participating in the democracy as they ought to. That’s why people like Andrea Mitchell, Howard Fineman, Jake Tapper and the rest are pissed – because he is rendering them and their useless drivel under the guise of “political analysis” increasingly IRRELEVANT.

Holy shit. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is my goddess. Earlier today on MSNBC, Karen (I forget her last name, a Democratic strategist) said — are you ready for this –

“The country cannot welch on its bills like a deadbeat dad.” Oh my God — Karl Rove couldn’t have written better framing.

Now, Steve Israel on Mrs. Greenspan’s show: “Republicans aren’t interested in balancing the budget. Not while the middle class, poor and seniors are paying to keep oil subsidies, tax cuts for the wealthy and corporate loopholes”. Now THAT’s a talking point we can get behind — “Republicans aren’t interested in balancing the budget, just cutting what makes America great in order to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

I am over the moon with the way the DNC and Obama are coordinating messages.

    • 60 hopefruit2

Reid, Schumer, Durbin and Murray presented a united front and were completely on message. They said that the Boehner plan was pandering to the extremist faction of the Republican party – and that it contained no compromises that Democrats could or would accept. Leader Reid also told the no-good media that he was not going to accept any bill that didn’t raise the debt ceiling through 2012.
