Live here

*****

Morning everyone, hope you’re all doing well.

I haven’t had a chance to read all the comments the last few days, but having looked through a few …. just a small request: please be civil to each other!

I know this is a miserably tense time, but let’s try to keep our heads and stay united through it all. That doesn’t – needless to say – mean we won’t disagree, sometimes passionately, on the issues currently being debated, but let’s try to do so in a respectful way.

Also, please don’t bring ‘professional’ left/GOP spin and lies here – as we all know, those two groups are united in their opposition to any form of compromise in these talks for the sole reason that they believe it would reduce the President’s re-election chances. It’s all about destroying Obama – if the American economy is trashed in the process, so be it. Honestly, we don’t need their pitiful talking points repeated here, we know where to go if we want to read them.

So, when the President is up against that level of mindless hostility and opposition I think we should all just try to dig a little deeper, stay calm, wait to see what happens – and stay united. By all means disagree with each other, but try to be nice while doing it!

Thanks 😉

That is a great video. I made the mistake of reading some of the comments. What a bunch of idiots. Thank you for sharing.

I generally ignore the comments because they’re mostly stupid folks who like getting into YouTube comment fights. But yes, it is an excellent video, so excellent that Fox News got in a huff when Jeezy and Jay-Z performed the song live in a nightclub before Obama’s inauguration in 2009. Fox News was mad because Jeezy and Jay-Z were dissing George Bush and calling him a white piece of shit… OK maybe a bit racist, but we’ve seen WORSE out of the right towards Obama, and George Bush earned the disrespect towards him, whereas Obama hasn’t.

Cool song. Haters are always gonna hate. Thanks for posting it to lift our spirits up. I seriously hope the debt ceiling issue is resolved. The President really needs the fun and relaxation of a big birthday bash. He’s more than earned it. I hope that all the fundraisers that are currently on hold do go on, even if POTUS can’t attend, VP Biden is more than up to the task and I hope they raise a shitload of cash.

That’s what the GOP wants – to drag this thing out through next year – which would in essence prevent PBO from campaigning or fundraising. Because if he does any campaigning or fundraising, the GOP is toast and they know it.

But they will NOT succeed. This nonsense will be over in a few days.

I also used to go to ofa often but it has become so depressing with all the trolls and haters and evil posts, I rarely visit now which is sad as I used to love going there. Thank goodness for Chipsticks and BWD though to improve my levels of sanity.

Do you know what, when I go to places were there is hate of this President, I let them know that I support him 100%, I let them know that so does alot of other people out there. And we are going to fight for this President till we can’t fight anymore. So if it’s a battle they want, a battle they will have. We are bless with a darn good President and we will do all we can to re-elect him. Then of course if they want to get ugly, well so can I. I can give as good as I get.

Thanks Chips for the gentle reminder! Let’s leave the mean spiritedness to the UNprofessional left and the teapublicans. I love this site because this is a family that loves PBO!!!!
    Enjoy your vacay!

It is very nice to come to this site and read comments that are reasonable and supportive of our President. I don’t even bother reading most of the comment sections on other sites because they have become playgrounds for hateful people to spew their bigotry and intolerance. I have better things to do than to waste my time drowning in negativity. Thank you Chipsticks for maintaining an original site that still supports hope and change. The President has been challenged more than any other in decades, even the so called ‘base’ has been divisive. I don’t consider those who went with Reagan in the 80’s to be the base. The base are the people who support this President and the principles of the Democratic party.

Thanks as always, Chipsticks. I worked on an implementation all weekend so didn’t get the chance to read any comments, so I don’t really know what you’re talking about, but I totally agree – let’s love one another and keep our heads together and keep our spirits up.
