God I hope this puts a nail in their coffins. And God, while you’re at it, please protect my President from the scum that sent an email to the WH with a picture of a noose and the names of PBO and Sheila Jackson Lee. I know you put SS on the scent but please may we see justice done swift and immediate. In Jesus’ name I pray, and to TODers, have a peaceful night.

How unserious can they be? The senate is staying in session because they understand how serious the debt debate is and the GOP just say fuck it and screw the American people who don’t have a gazillion zeros behind their names.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?????????? Someone sent a picture of a noose and the names of PBO and Sheila Jackson Lee to the whitehouse? Link please. WTF?

what?!! Someone sent a picture of a noose to the WH with PBO’s name on it?! WTH?! This is disgusting. I can’t wait for SS to find those idiots.
ps- I think this vid was brilliant and hope it gains traction. Dems should go on all the shows tomorrow and talk about how some members of congress have gone on vacation while the US is hanging on the precipice.

Lord have mercy. I hadn’t heard that. These people are absolutely crazy. These hateful criminals. I have no words. These are dark, dark days. Jesus please be with us.

Ho- hooooo!!! Pure, pure artistry!!! True performance art! These two- after leaving congress- should take their show on the road. They performed this beautifully! Like Abbott and Castello, like Fred and Ginger, like Ricky and Lucy, like Archie and Edith, like Batman and Robin!!!! I could go on and on and on. I loved the guy who walked behind Schumer and smiled at the camera! These two were awesome! Please let this clip go viral, please let this clip go viral, please somebody, please tweet this and make it go viral. Will send it to Tweety and Lawry! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😆

Well, long ago the Republicans took leave of their senses and all semblance of responsibility so it is entirely consistent that they’d go play at a moment not at all dissimilar to the days before 1861.

Treasonous trash that they are … but, guess what, more and more and more Americans are not only detecting the smell of their rot they’re going to bury it, forever.

What are they taking vacation for – to sun bathe in the 102-degree weather? I hope they get baked in the scorching heat.

BTW, the dialogue between Senators Reid and Schumer is not theater. As all of you know, the Republic has faced a crisis like this only once before – in the days prior to a certain Senator resigning only shortly after leading the secession of several States from the Union.

That is NOT hyperbole, everyone. This is the second major assault on the Republic in the 235 year history of the USA.

rI love the fact that the Democratic Party has one message which is to label the rethug party as radical and extreme. I hope President Obama calls them out if asked at the town hall tomorrow, for leaving town when the country is facing default..

This issue was brought up at the press briefing and maybe the media will also call them out.. If Bone head boehner and little man cantor don’t cancel the weekend recess, score one for the Democrats.

This story will have a good ending. An ending very much like the one in April when the President calmy announced from the East Room (with the Lincoln memorial in the background) that a gov’t shutdown had been averted. Phuck the media and GOP. Our President will prevail.

Virginia credit score is being decreased if the ceiling is not increased. They depend on federal monies because of all the federal workers and gov. Installations. The governor has changed his mind after finding out how it will affect his state’s revenues. Maryland, South Carolina and several other states will be affected. I hope the tea baggers catch it if they are stupid enough to show their face in public.

With all of the money that Texas gets, you would think that current pundit darling as R candidate/would-be secessionist Gov. GoodHair would have something to say as well.

Once again, Chipsticks, you come through with “kobe beef” that we can send AROUND the United States via email, facebook, twitter. THIS IS SERIOUS people and the citizens of the United States need to take notice to what kind of games their Representatives are playing with our Credit and our Future. Not everyone will read an article and this was not on the local news tonight, but if it lands in an In Box or is tweeted, people will take notice and pass it on and so forth and so forth.

GOP takes the week-end off, that is okay. We have to do our very best to make sure that in 2012 we don’t just give them week-ends off, WE FIRE as many as we can.

Indeed. It’s reminiscent of Jack Kingston complaining when Pelosi rose to the Speakership and required a longer work week. He complained about House members not getting to see their families [first or side families, he didn’t specify. Hey, this is when Vito what’shisface was having his misadventures] until told that his wasn’t a sympathetic argument to the working or jobless masses.
