This will be such good news for people who lives in area with no grocery store, I have friend who lives in a town were there is no grocery store and she have to travel ten miles to the next town with a grocery stores. It tough because not everyone have a car. There is not even cab or bus service. If you look around you see will more fast food places being built in these areas then grocery stores. So I am 100% with what the First Lady is trying to do. And I’m praying for it’s success. I have a 10 year old niece who’s overweight and she doesn’t eat vegtables, and rarely eats fruits. So I understand what the First Lady is trying to accomplish. And believe me it is greatly appreciated.

This accomplishment took a ton of work. FLOTUS has her heart and soul in this so I have no doubt it will be a huge success over time. We are so fortunate to have such compassionate people in the White House who know how to get things done..

We here in Southern California, especially South Los Angeles, will be very happy to see more full service grocery stores in our area. And for even the mom & pop stores to carry fresh fruit and vegetables. We have way too many liquor stores owned and operated by Koreans who have plenty of LIQUOR and little else. It’s so bad, that there are sometimes three liquor stores in a two block area. But go into Korea Town and they have CVS & Walgreens and major supermarkets. We need more balance.

GGail, So true, so true. In this place where my friend lives, there are three convenient stores where no fruit or vegtables are sold. All that is in these stores is candy, cookies, sodas, beer, and other snacks. So some kid run to the store and what do he picks up.

OT: guys, go to 20:05 and look at the lady seated directly behind Miche. She has brownish blonde should length hair. Check out the dress she is wearing, it looks exactly line the one Miche wore to church on sunday…. what do you think? It should have made for an interesting conversation starter between them I expect. 😉

When I was listening to the First Lady yesterday, I notice that lady sitting back there in that dress and I thought the same thing. It just shows you that our First Lady is a fashion icon. I was hoping the First Lady was going over there to shake hands with those people sitting behind her, but maybe they all met before the program begun. Let me go and see what time the First Lady will be in North Carolina.

Kudos to Mrs O on this project. Wondered what she said to the woman wearing ‘her’ dress – fab taste all around.
