    Mr President looking good!!!
Are they all required to sit in the same spots each time? LOL Boehner still looks like he’s crying.

I seriously want to know what they are laughing about. Since they started doing the talks at the WH, I think most of the starting pictures look like that…like they are relaxed and enjoy each other’s companies. So it always surprises me when Bonehead or Turtle comes out with their crazy anit-Obama speeches either at the end of the meeting or the next day.

I love how PBO, VP Biden, Jack Lew and Bill Daley have genuine smiles on their face. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi look so chilled. They’re all like oh yeah you people just punted and we now have you over a barrel. The American people know you’re liars and irresponsible. Boehner looks like someone is holding a gun to his head and forcing him to attempt a calm smile and relaxed demeanor. Haha.

President Obama’s SWAGGER is so freaking off the chain. The beauty of it is that it’s subtle but lethal. You either have swagger or you don’t. You either know swagger or you don’t. No ifs ands or buts. The slowing down of the video was genius, because you got to examine his body language up close. He’s like uh huh… oh yeah.. who’s the badass now? Who’s weak on foreign policy? Oh…. you have nothing to say? Yeah… I thought so. Then the view from the back; he’s just walking back to the inner sanctum and the swagger is just whoooo…. to die for. *Fans self*

Donna, both of those are cool ! I especially like the slo-o-o-w walk to the podium. Yes, it really accentuates the walk (swagger) and the “Shaft” music was perfecto! And I love how he is so easy to joke with someone about anything – “you don’t think I have my own computer?” Again, his humor is shown when he teases VP Joe about being on the opposite side of the table. Such a wonderful well rounded man!

Ha! I’m the president! You don’t think I have a computer?

I like when he starts asking audience members if they have computers. Good grief, I am always shaking my head at the stupid lines of questioning he is subjected to.

  6. July 13, 2011 at 5:35 pm

Ho Hum. Same ol’ same ol’. You’d think by now the goopers would have figured out that their confidential advisors, Markos, Jane, Glenn, et. al. keep giving them bad advice. The “base” is running away from Obama. You have a chance to get what you want because Obama is gonna cave. Go for it, he’s a pushover. Who cares if there’s a default, everyone will blame Obama.

I heard from a reliable source (same one who said that Obama wasn’t up to the job) that Jane tried to get McConnell to say he’d put in a public option; i.e., if you’re part of the public, you’ll have no option.

Glad to see that people around the blogs on the left side of the political spectrum are starting to call out the imposters, agents provocateur, skalawags, whatever you want to call them. Goopers in progressive wrappings? I’ve been saying that for a very long time, even back when I still posted on the rotten orange.

At this point, it looks like the goopers realized that they’ve been beaten again, just like they were (yes indeed they were Mr. Krugman) back in December. It looks like even some of the nuts are trying to find a way out of the mess. Now they are, incredibly, screaming that President Obama is holding the debt ceiling hostage!!!!

What’s really great is that President Obama hasn’t even begun to use his trump cards. Can you whip up a graphic that has all those phoney progressive sites’ logos grouped together with that great egg on the face thing?

  7. July 13, 2011 at 5:37 pm

I’m not saying that out of the government Boehner would be friends with Obama but I think he would at least have a chance at rehibilitation. After what turtle said yesterday he is soup and will never change. Cantor is a mess and I think the President took the keys away from him yesteray and told him that Boehner was the designated driver.

About Boehner’s color, my dad always had a tan with light blue eyes. The only time I have seen a constant tan on anyone was in endocrinology when we saw kid’s with Addison’s disease. JFK had Addison’s and his skin was tanned with his red hair and was gorgeous. When they did an autopsy on him they found he had no adrenals at all. My boss showed me his autopsy that was published in a medical journal as anonymous pt # blank. but everyone knew it was JFK.

Breaking: U.S. put on review for possible downgrade

Of course, we saw that coming…..

    • 19 Anonymous
      July 13, 2011 at 5:50 pm

I think this was the July 22nd date that the President was referring to before. If US is downgraded it would be a good time for a oval office address to explain what happened, why it happened and what will happen come August 2nd if the debt ceiling isn’t raised.

The fact that President Obama voted against raising debt ceiling as a Senator could be spun to his advantage saying “I recognized back then that we needed to get our debt/deficit in order when the current GOP leaders in Congress were passing clean debt ceiling raises for Bush spending on two wars, Bush tax cuts and Medicare Part D that they didn’t pay for. But I also know how important it is to not default. Administration should also put together a list of former Republicans who say the debt ceiling should be raised and list all of them and then challenge the GOP to find any Democrats who say it shouldn’t be raised.

Great points on what PBO could explain. Let’s hope he doesn’t need to. He does what needs to be done depending on the full circumstances. Of course, we who are his backers, understand this. Again, great analysis 😀

Moody’s Warns It May Downgrade U.S.’s AAA Bond Rating

Moody’s Warns It May Downgrade U.S.’s AAA Bond Rating | Several sources are reporting that Moody’s Investors Service is putting the U.S. government’s AAA bond rating on review for a possible downgrade. Moody’s said that it “considers the probability of a default on interest payments to be low but no longer to be de minimis.” AAA is the highest rating and essentially means “good as cash,” ensuring that the dollar is a stable and trusted currency around the world. Moody’s warned on June 2 that a “review” could come by mid-July “if there were no progress on increasing the statutory debt limit.” The stalemated debt talks between the White House and congressional Republicans have caused investors and credit agencies alike to question the country’s ability to meet its obligations.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the

wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp

against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3).

Every cloud of confusion, covering Obama divine goal, I ask the Lord to clear it , in the name of Jesus.

Every evil meeting summoned against Obama goal, I ask in Jesus name to scatter it, in the name of Jesus.

Lord I ask that the Anointing to excel, fall upon Obama now, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, As from now on, I pray that Obama shall prevail against his enemies in the name of Jesus.

Every wick plans against Obama I pray that it dies, in the name of Jesus.

How can McConnell sit there laughing after what he said about PBO? What a snake!!

    • 42 HZ
      July 13, 2011 at 6:57 pm

Because McConnell is a greedy, old hateful person who is showing his true inner core. He hates the fact that a black Democrate is the President of the United States and is sitting in the Oval Office daily performing the duties of the Executive Branch of our government. I really feel from my observations of Mr. McConnell, this very fact is driving his ugly and evil actions. What about the people who make up this country who are hurting today, Sen. McConnell now. And you have the nerves along with so many others to throw this political crap in their faces daily. You are a hateful person. However, the President recognizes these people for who they really are.

Back on June 5, 2011 the Nobel Prize winning economist Peter Diamond (nominated by PBO to serve on Board of Governors at the Fed) wrote an op-ed in The New York Times entitled “When A Nobel Prize Isn’t Enough”. He withdrew his name from nomination because of constant delays and GOP obstruction. Senator Shelby of Alabama questioned his qualifications. Mr. Diamond nailed it when he said this:

But we should all worry about how distorted the confirmation process has become, and HOW LITTLE UNDERSTANDING OF MONETARY POLICY THERE IS AMONG SOME OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT.

How will the GOP spin this??

74 Percent Of Republicans Think Deficit Reduction Should Include Tax Increases And Spending Cuts | According to a new Gallup poll, only one in five Americans agree with Congressional Republicans that deficit reduction should be based on spending cuts alone. That includes 74 percent of Republicans who agree that a responsible deficit reduction plan should include both tax increases and spending cuts. The new data flies in the face of claims by GOP leaders that Americans adamantly oppose tax increases to reduce the country’s deficit.

Because they all signed the Grover Norquist pledge and fear a primary challenge if they agree to raise taxes. Who is funding the Rove 3rd party groups – the millionaires and billionaires. If the Bush tax cuts ended and loopholes were closed the Koch Bros would be paying millions more in taxes – money that couldn’t than be donated to Rove or to their various thinktanks or wingnut schools.

I post this video every chance I get. In less than one minute, Van Jones eviscerates the notion that an elected official of the United States of American (who takes an oath to abide by the Constitution) is also taking a vow of no taxes from the likes of Grover Norquist.

Politicians surrendering their judgment and having dual loyalties is a violation of their oath office.

According to aides President Obama abruptly and angrily left the debt meeting today as Boehner was calling the cuts all accounting tricks. This is why O’Donnell and others shouldn’t be celebrating on the five year line (hell we’r still at th 50 yard line). Also all the peacocking about how the FY2010 budget and how Pres. Obama played Boehner seems like it’s coming back to bite as well.
