Notice 3:15….he told them they’re meeting every day until they reach an agreement! This is the most those Congressmen have worked since the 2010 election!!!

You’re right. Ever since repubs gained control of the house it ihas been one vacation after another. Finally an adult is taking no guff from them and they have no idea how to handle it.

  2. July 11, 2011 at 10:30 pm

President Obama is the hardest working man in the world. Those do nothing Congress Repups were thinking of taking another vacation this week.

Crush them with work Mr. President, everyday…

I hope My president doesn’t turn into Orange by the end of the week due to constant exposure to Rust. Sleep well my TOD family, today is a good day for PBO as stated beautifully by Lawrence tonight.

Oh yeah, you heard the tanning salon industry wants the tan tax repealed. They claim that the 10% tax has made the salons close 1/3 rd of the business!
      Yeah, snookie is happy!

I think he’s trying to wear them out. They’re not used to this much work. By the end of the week they’ll be begging for mercy and crying for their pillows.

I had an interesting encounter tonight at a Voter Registration event. A man, probably in his 30’s was waiting for a bus and I asked him if he was registered to vote. He smiled and said that, yes he is registered and that he always votes. Looking at my 2012 button, he added, still smiling, that he is a Republican. So I asked him which candidate he would support in 2012. He said ” I have to go with Obama. There are no Republicans running for President”. So the I mentioned Romney, Pawlenty, Bachman etc. and he repeated “You heard me, there are no Republicans running. These people are not Republicans, they are puppets. Obama is doing the best he can given the kind of jokers he has to deal with”. And then he added “That doesn’t mean that I’m going to be a Democrat. But I am going to vote for the Democrat this time. He makes sense and these other guys don’t”. Totally made my day.

Thanks UT for the link. I never knew there were any more sane Republicans left. That Dent video really “blew my mind.” May be people are beginning to wake up. The people in that Town hall meeting were not buying the Congressman’s b.s!

Thanks for sharing the story. These are the kinds of Republicans I want to see in government, the ones willing to work with our President and not obstruct him for pointless political theater, which is what Boner, Cantor, Bachmann, and the rest of those clowns are doing.

๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s great. I don’t know, I’m of the mind that these kinds of folks are out there more than we think. Republicans don’t even like these Republicans!!!! hgerhard – the first thing I thought was – what part of the country did this happen in? What an honest, thoughtful encounter you had. I haven’t been so lucky here in NJ/PHL to find someone who considers themselves a Republican and does not swallow the partyspeak, hook, line and sinker. Am I pessimistic? Yep. But your encounter gives me hope.

  6. July 11, 2011 at 11:07 pm

I’m hearing that that sheep in wolf’s clothing, Ed Schultz call Obama weak. You know I had to email that loud mouth bastard and tell him exactly what I think of him. Which isn’t very much.

    • July 11, 2011 at 11:11 pm

That should be wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s a Republican pretending to be a Democrat.

      • July 11, 2011 at 11:12 pm

And I’m dam sick of Mr. Ed.

        • 30 nintendowii10
          July 11, 2011 at 11:18 pm

Ed wants the Republicans to win, so he can continue to whine… he wants to “win” in the Charlie Sheen sense of the word.

I gave up on Ed after last winter, when he called President Obama a sellout over the tax cuts extension deal… back then I posted Ed would continue to bash the President during the New Year, and low and behold, Ed vindicates me by continuously attacking the President with emotive rants and no coherent solutions. If Ed said it was going to rain, I’d expect either a partly cloudy day or a bit of drizzle here and there, I can’t trust Ed’s judgment on anything.

        • 31 Walking_on_ Sunshine
          July 11, 2011 at 11:30 pm

Ed just can’t stop screaming. I’ve never been able to listen to him. All that yelling and sputtering and loud indignation is part of his act and he just can’t give up on it. Some people are just angry by nature. They will be angry at whoever of whatever is put in front of them. They don’t know how to be anything else. That’s the way I see Ed.

          • July 12, 2011 at 1:16 am

Ed had a poll up asking who would you blame if there’s no deal ceiling deal? I told Ed that I would blame the Tea- Republicans, first and foremost. Then I would blame those people who in 2010 put the Tea-Republicans in control of the House. And those who didn’t vote deserve some blame also. Like the people encourage not to vote by Ed Schultz.

This fiasco with Congress refusing to cooperate with the Executive Branch of our Government is so annoying to those of us that learned about the three Branches of our Government years ago. We learned and accepted the system of “Checks and Balences” that it provides as circumstances require change in our laws.
What is so frustrating to us Seniors is to recall the administrations from President Harry S. Truman to this date with President Barack H. Obama. It is so painful seeing how Congress always managed to disagree without being disagreeable, and certainly not disrespectful to our elected Leader – and to see today how some congressmen refuse to acknowledge our Leader as President — they just ramble on in their hateful lies about ‘Obama…’. So many of the newest, most critical congresspersons seem not to even understand our Democratic system of Government; only playing the ‘blame game’ to confuse those that elected them.

Often I turn off the sound to these lying commercials that clearly prove their lack of knowledge relative to the economical solutions that are being offered by President Obama. Prayers go up for Him and V-P Biden and many of the Team that they have assembled to try to save our Country from the ignoramuses’ on capitol hill. God Bless America !!

Good morning guys. I was just looking at the president’s press conference yesterday for the umteenth time.

And I’m a little concern about the veins that are popping out at the side of the president’s head. I noticed this awhile now and it was one vein at the time. Now its two! I hope he’s taking care of himself. This job is really taking it’s toll.

Lord please take care of President Obama.

I just heard it as being promoted as one of the big topics of discussions on The View today too. Truly unbelievable. Out of all the concerns and topics, if there’s any teeny tidbit which the media thinks they can use and twist against the Obamas, they are just too happy to run with it.

    • July 12, 2011 at 8:39 am

How is this a story, I asked! I mean there was no point to the story except to report on it. You would think that ABC would be reporting about the $700 spent on wine in a few hours by Paul Ryan.

Try hard as they may, none of them can sully this family.

First of all, at Michelle’s height, 1700 calories a day is probably LESS than the minimum her body requires daily just to exist. (Mine is 1300 and I’m only 5′ 4”). Second of all, with all the exercise she does, another 800-1000 calories is needed for that. Thirdly, who among us doesn’t have days when we exceed by far our daily caloric intake, and days when we fail to meet it? That goes without saying and should not be a news item. It’s the overall balance per week that counts. And obviously, the media is on their usual anti-obama trek – they were gushing and oohing and aahing over Kate& William, hoping desperately that they will eclipse President Obama and Michelle in terms of popularity. NOT HAPPENING!!!

Since they seem so bored, maybe the media should do an “analysis” of the number of calories that NJ Governor Chris Christie consumes on a daily basis (along with his cholesterol count)as well? Or the number of times Sarah Palin’s daughter failed to abstain out of wedlock- given that her mom is preaching abstinence?

Oh, you mean Gov. Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie? Whatever, these folks have truly lost it.

I’ve seen Michelle Obama’s height listed from 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10″. Either way, 1700 calories, for a woman who works out daily? It’s a wonder she can lift her head in the morning. I would be FAMISHED on 1700 calories at that height. They are acting like she ate 17,000 calories. What clowns… ๐Ÿ™„

FLOTUS is 5’11” and when you see her in person there is absolutely NO way you could say she was fat or overweight in the least. She is much thinner in person, very athletic and extraordinarily radiant. PBO is also much thinner in person. He could use another bite or two. I think he burns calories just sitting in the Oval.

how low has the so-called news media fallen?? now they are onto the very important job of counting the numver of carolies the First Family eats? what a load of nonsense?

In case the MSM missed what The First Lady says in her drive for better nutrition, she says that she does not insist that you never ever eat what you know you shouldn’t – cos it would be hard to attain in perpetuity. MO says clearly that sometimes, one may try out stuff like cake, fries etc, but it should not be the default meal. MO says that even in her own house she once in a while lets them eat this junk but it is not their regular meals. of course the haters in the MSM are determined to pretend that MO demands that we feed on grass and water

Good morning TOD family and Chipsticks! You guys are on fire this morning about little George and ABC and their critique of FLOTUS caloric intake. I grew tired of the National Morning Shows some time ago and only watch or listen to local KTLA until 10am then I go to the View – especially when Barb is absent. I especially like the part hopefruit2 about doing a story on Christie’s calories!

We have the Tea-Republicans threaten to destroy this country and they are talking about what the First Lady ate. How stupid can you be? Did anyone see Michelle doing push ups and sit ups when she was in S. Africa? It is clear this woman is use to working out. I have never heard the First Lady say that you can’t eat what you want once and a while. This is just alot of B.S. from the media. It is not enough for them to go after the President now they have decided to go after the First Lady. How disgusting have the media gotten?
