I hope he makes a comment tonight. I know the President likes to walk to clear his head and I think CD allowed him to clear his head by just walking in the sunshine.. The President cold not golf this weekend because the optics of that being commented on by the media would not been in the president’s favor.

Great, President Obama leads with a bold proposal to eliminate 4 trillion in debt and Speaker Boehner walks out of the negotiations just in time for the Sunday talking heads shows.

It is long past due for someone in the MSM to ask the Speaker Boehner and the Republicans about the OATH OF OFFICE they took. They started the 112th (DO NOTHING) congress reading the Constitution. But they have been ignoring the Constitution for the last six months.

Congress has an obligation to ensure our debts are paid. The Republicans are violating the 14th Amendment and thereby violating their oath office.

Speaker Boehner walking out of the discussion with the President because he was kowtowing to the teaparty wing of his party makes him look extremely childish. The President is thinking of the nation as a whole, and Boehner is thinking of getting re-elected. He and the rest of the GOP were making noises and saying the President didn’t want to do big things, yet the President meets them at the table, offers a proposal to eliminate $4 trillion in debt and Boehner whines because the President won’t budge another inch without tax hikes and an increase in revenue. The Whitehouse’s statement yesterday was perfect. It didn’t mention Boehner or any of the GOP by name and made the President look like the only capable and well meaning adult in the room; which he is.

    Good morning, TODville!!

OK, so we’ve all seen that photo of Sasha Obama holding up a sign at the tennis match yesterday that reads, “REFUSE TO LOSE.” That’s our Sasha. Let’s keep this in mind as our mantra going forward. Stay strong and speak out and do no entertain defeat.

It’s known in the past that the president when at Camp David has had spiritual leaders come to the compound for spiritual council, I wonder if he’s having anyone visit him this weekend. It’s a way of seeking spiritual solace away from the cameras of the MSM.

By the way do anyone know if Michelle and the girls went along?

Good morning Chips and TOD family. I wondered thru other sites last night. I understand the reasoning for Chips headlines about the PL. What a bunch of whiners. We have a President who can stand toe to toe with anyone and all they see is failure. I am so glad I missed the last 5 days. Now I get to see the President win his game. These repubs don’t know who the are dealing with. I trust this President. I just pray the American people start waking up.

On a great side note I read that AZ is recalling Senate President Pearce. I feel better about AZ. And that the teachers union in Michigan is supporting the govenors recall. More power to the people.

President Obama hasn’t caved on anything. I’ve been watching the sunday shows and checking for news and there’s been no report of anything since Boehner walked out of the discussion yesterday when the President wouldn’t budge on tax hikes. The only thing on file today is the meeting at the Whitehouse to resume talks.

Perhaps Hamsher and her ilk are sending out faux “alerts” to seniors? That’s the Koch brothers nonsense at work.

Jovie if I were you, I would advise your mom to not believe everything she hears on TV/radio, or reads on the paper. There are people paid by the Republican party to spread false information in order to get people to turn against the President.

Currently MSNBC has an article titled “bumps ahead for Obama.” The article is about the Republicans pulling out of the $4 trillion deficit reduction deal – yet they refuse to hold Mr. Boehner accountable for not wanting to let the Bush tax cuts expire while insisting on spending cuts only. They make it seem as though it’s President Obama’s problem only.

One of the commenters challenged the article’s pro-GOP talking points by writing this:

/// “Boehner faces new obstacles in this debt deal. NOW he wants smaller cuts so he wont have to raise taxes on the rich! HIS failure to act may mean the first ever default on US debt obligations. It iw worth noting that Boehner voted for at least half of the debt we now have AND voted 19 times to raise the debt ceiling under Bush! The world waits to see if Boehner will lead the country into default since it is HE that needs to act.” ///

This is exactly what needs to be said and repeated to that damn media.

Here is an apt analogy of what the Republicans are doing while the President is trying to fix this country: As posted by Karen, Sr. on BWD’s TOAITR:

/// “You learn that you will inherit a historical house because it’s been determined that you will be the best person to restore its integrity.

Now, the roof on this historical house had been leaking for decades but the occupants could never find enough money to have it repaired, and as long as the damage wasn’t evident from the outside, the occupants could continue to work around the leaks. After all, it didn’t rain every day. Over the years the leaking roof was damaging the ceilings and causing the flooring to warp, and more recently, was shorting out the electrical systems. Casual observers could not see this damage, but those on the inside knew it was happening.

The money that should have been used to repair and replace the damaged roof and the subsequent structural damages, would instead be used to purchase a big screen tv. That particular purchase would become known as the Iraq War. Later, the big screen tv would be better viewed with two barcaloungers. These would be affectionately named Bush Tax Cuts I and Medicare Part D, a his and hers pair of incentives to keep the occupants at home. Later, the occupants would remodel the tv viewing room and this room would be renamed the Bush Tax Cuts II room. Then, one day, as if nobody saw it coming, the roof blew off.

So, the person chosen to restore the integrity of the house moves in, makes an assessment of the damages, and calls in the roofer. It is at that precise moment that the previous occupants start yelling “Oh, no. Obama’s a tax and spend liberal because he wants to fix the roof!””///

for Boehner;Cantor and Tea’s it’s Party First and Country Last.

Boehner really needs to be asked by a courageous journalist if he values his job more than our country

I love the fact that with twitter and with so many letting their voices be heard on these main stream blogs, that the media who once was able to drive the narrative that this president was failing the country is receiving a hard push back. Your average citizen with an ounce of sense Knows the obstruction leveled at this president since he took office and they have finally found a way to lash out at the media who has sat back and put the owness of this economy on just one man.

This president by doing the twitter town hall was able to bring my voices into the national conversations, and its my belief that the MSM will see a push back like they’ve never seen.

People keep twittering, keep writting your letters and email to the media………BECAUSE IT WORKS.

“One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if it can change a city, it can change a state, and if it change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world. Your voice can change the world.”

I love that quote from the President because it is SOOOO true. I look at figures of history: Martin Luther by nailing his 95 theses to a door of a church in Wittenburg, Germany started the Protestant Reformation; Rosa Parks by moving to the front of a bus in Montgomery, Alabama started the Civil Rights movement; Martin Luther King, Jr., by marching onto Washington, D.C. expanded the civil rights movement; All of these ONE voice, yet they moved mountains. Can you imagine what we could do, if we were one voice, united in forcing the MSM to do their job and report the FACTS! If we got together and forced the KOCH brothers, etc to BACK OFF!

We the people of the United States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice…..

I repeat! NEVER play poker with this President unless you want to lose your shirt! Even the Professional Left got schooled!
