‘pentagon suspends dadt in wake of court ruling’

Army Times: The Pentagon has ordered a halt to all separations of gay troops under “don’t ask, don’t tell” and will begin accepting applications from prospective recruits who identify themselves as homosexuals.

The moratorium issued Friday came after a ruling Wednesday by a federal appeals court in California ordering the Defense Department to immediately stop enforcing the law. The court said the law is unconstitutional because it treats gay Americans differently under the law.

Ed Shultz is telling his listeners, not to vote for President Obama in 2012, says a woman who called in the Randi Rhodes show. Well, it’s time for us to start our own boycotting of his TV show. Enough of these Republicans!

I’m in, I’ll tweet it. He’s a republican.. don’t care what he’s pretending to be right now.. he.is.a.republican.

I posted this on the “dig deep thread”
I listened to Ed today and I heard enough.

Hey everyone I’m at work so can’t stay long.

I just fired this email off to Ed Shultz.

      Hey Ed,
Looks like the run-up to the 2010 elections all over again..
I’m waiting for you to get to the part where you tell people to stay home and not vote again, to show Obama and the dems just how mad we are.
And by the way you must be brilliant to be able to see into the future, I think you should do what Sam Stein told you the other night, why don’t you wait until you see what’s in the deal before you pop a cork.
There is nothing more irritating than seeing an ex-repub call a democratic President who’s never switched party, not a real DEM.
Looks like you and a lot of ex-repubs have found a way to capitalize on the anger…………but a lot of us are waking up to the mascarade.

Also Tom Hartman followed immediately after him, and I guess he heard his show.

He said he was not going to jump on the President bashing train as other talk show hosts before he had a chance to see what was really in the deal.

Ed is such a freaking blowhard. One day he’s gonna blow a gasket and pop a vein with his faux outrage. He wants to try that same mess he did in 2010. They don’t seem to understand that it hurts everyone when Dems aren’t in power. Case in point the crap leadership that is the gop. I stopped watching Ed a while back… I just couldn’t take it anymore. When he starts speaking sense, I may tune in from time to time.

Very proud of you utaustinliberal! I did exactly the same thing. I also no longer watch any of the 24/7 cable news channels. I no longer listen to any talk radio shows. Now and then I glance at local news in case they may be covering important and essential information, like weather, traffic conditions, and road closures, that I need to be aware of . In my car, my radio is always tuned to the Jazz station that only has brief news bulletin announcements. Of course coming to this site, and other pragmatic progressive sites, keeps me abreast of what is happening in the country and the world. I also still read the papers although many of them are just as atrocious as the the T.V. news. Recently, I’ve also been checking out whitehouse.gov. to see what the government is doing. Bottom line, I decided that I no longer have to sit in front of the tube, to listen to the so called news casters spew their hyped up rubbish trying to arouse my emotions about things that I’ve absolutely no control over; or listening to pundits trying to manufacture controversies that are simply aimed at increasing their companies ratings.

You people are just realizing that Ed Shulz is a Republican? C’mon lets join reality here. Didn’t 2012 stay at home Democrats teach anybody about these talking heads and where their motives are? I hate to say it but the American public is really ignorant. If they don’t wake up by the fall next year America as we know it will cease to exist. I don’t what else to say about this situation. The same crowd saying don’t vote and the masses falling for it. I’m out done!! 😦

Hahaha… I can’t wait for her faux outrage tonight. “President Obama despises gay people so much that he agreed with the suspension of dadt by the Pentagon.” Oh wait, I’m Rachel and I like to speak out of my ass on issues I have no clue about.

If you work steady at the task, keep your loyalty to your inner-core, use good commone sense, listen with intelligence wrapped gingerly with great compassion, and walk steadily with a strong stride we will be the first to reach and cross the finish line. Then pick up all of the firm sticks laced with leadership that is focused and humility that is moving toward all people in need now,, we will prevail. Watch POTUS. We’ve got this. You know why? Keep your hearts in the perfect place of spaces filled with integrity, love, hard work 24/7, compassion, and constantly working with intellect to cover all of the people; we will win with grace and trust of the people in 2012..
