Which is a great thing. NASA has to make sure it adapts to the 21st century and is constantly pushing the boundaries in space exploration. It makes our country great.
Love how he’s glued to the tv watching the lift off. He’s such a nerd and a geek for science and technology. Me likey 😀
Are my eyes deceiving me? Maybe it’s the lighting, but does the President have a big gold patch of hair on the top of his head? At the same time, is it just a 5 o’clock shadow, or is he sprouting a nice sexy goatee under the chin? 🙂
Smartypants has a brilliant post on the difference between activists and organizers. It’s something I could feel but didn’t understand. President Obama is an organizer and so are we. Very, very helpful for me to understand the pants on fire folks.
And she was brave enough to check into a hospital here in Cali to rid herself of the addictive pain meds after her bout with Cancer. She brought both Cancer and addiction to pain meds to light with her bravery. The Betty Ford Clinic is still here serving the public.

To them and all of NASA’s incredible workforce, I want to express my sincere gratitude. You helped our country lead the space age, and you continue to inspire us each day.
Today’s launch may mark the final flight of the Space Shuttle, but it propels us into the next era of our never-ending adventure to push the very frontiers of exploration and discovery in space. We’ll drive new advances in science and technology. We’ll enhance knowledge, education, innovation, and economic growth. And I have tasked the men and women of NASA with an ambitious new mission: to break new boundaries in space exploration, ultimately sending Americans to Mars. I know they are up to the challenge – and I plan to be around to see it.
Congratulations to Atlantis, her astronauts, and the people of America’s space program on a picture-perfect launch, and good luck on the rest of your mission to the International Space Station, and for a safe return home. Shut heard on the tv, former First Lady Betty Ford has passed away. May God rest her soul.
RIP, Betty Ford. She did a lot of good in her life. First Ladies is a very rare club.
