a word from bob….

by Bobfr

Simply, everyone of us, and every Democratic Party Leader and Candidate must be certain that “the official Republican plan is to destroy Medicare” are 8 words every American hears 1000s of times between now and Nov 2012.

Beyond that the simple mantra is a gift given to every Democratic candidate, to wit:

The Republicans promised jobs in 2010:

– instead they insisted on tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations

– instead they attacked collective bargaining

– instead they attacked education

– instead they attacked unemployment insurance

– instead they attacked women and girls

– instead they brought the Nation to the brink of default on its debt

– instead they tried to KILL DADT

Republican jobs created – ZERO

Republican destruction of jobs – Large and accelerating

Republican pursuit of the destruction of America if that’s what it takes to defeat President Obama in 2012 – so obvious even some pundits and politicians have noticed what we have all known since Jan 2009.

Don’t muddle; don’t confuse – take full advantage of the blatantly obvious Republican attacks on the middle class, on Medicare, on Medicaid, on Social Security and the very solvency of the United States of America and make change happen, Americans.

Yes.We.Can. … DO.More.Together!

THANK YOU, Bobfr. You’re a genius. I’ll be using all of this in my tweets, email, phone calls, etc., etc., etc.

Beautifully said. I’m amazed at the tone here today. I sense that a lot of people who are part of the TOD family are prayerful people. I regard optimism as form of prayer. And I believe that all prayer and positive energy radiates out from us and has profound effects that we can’t measure. This is not burying your head in the sand — positive energy is a choice, and sometimes a hard one. I firmly believe that PBO can do what he does, with the energy he does, because there is such a powerful spiritual force, all over the world, rooting for him. He has a tremendous personal, spiritual energy, and that makes him very receptive to the energy we send him. There are enough people choosing negative energy. We can choose not to join them.

The world is changing very rapidly right now, and there’s a fierce vanguard fight from many sides to forestall that change. It’s already too late, and those who are mired in fear will likely stay that way as the world changes around them. It’s not going to be easy or pretty.

My favorite fortune cookie fortune is something PBO would likely agree with: Patience is the key to joy.

Very nicely stated, Betsey. On another thread yesterday, I used part of a comment you made on BWD’s blog’s to echo your point that we must begin vocally rejecting/boycotting PL and MSM who continue to put a negative spin on everything related to President Obama.

I also agree with the advice given by both you and Bobf. As we fight the negativity (calling out those do-nothing Republicans and the lying spin masters), we must remain positive, and send that positive energy to our President.

    • July 8, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Loverly,Betsey..loverly! I agree wholeheartedly. Come on people. Let’s not go stir-crazy. Let’s keep soldiering on,it’s all part of the process. Life is ebb and flow.. all these little trials are good,.so we wait it out, meanwhile involved in the counter game of tweetdom and emails, calls and what have you ,and we rise and go again!
Refuse to let ‘their’ ‘do-shit’ get to you. Remember- ‘Don’t let the ***kers get to you’!

One more item for your mantra, Bobfr. They have voted “No” on every jobs producing bill that has come before them

Thank you Bob for not giving into despair and negativity while keeping the focus on the job destroying republicans. And thank you chips for highlighting Bob’s comment. We need to stay focused and active! Hope any of you who are members of Move On take the time to not only cancel your membership but tell them why. Deaniac @ The People’s View has posted about this, if you can show him some love.

Yeah I agree. Mow if we can only get the house democrats off of the presidents ass. Sometimes the house democrats like to impress the pl and they sound just like them!
House democrats messaging is terrible and a big problem.
We have to coalesce around one message. We had one but weiner ruined it!

I just can’t believe that people here at TOD and TOADITW are sounding like the PL: “Obama has to do this, he has to do that.”

Since when did we WANT to become what we most despise, the armchair Presidents of the left and right?

We have a President who has worked his butt off to get more done than Reagan, both Bushes, and Clinton. We have a President who actually cares about those less fortunate than he is, yet even some of his most staunch supporters here are ready to throw him overboard for a President Romney or a President Bachmann.

Is this country REALLY more used to having a President like George W. Bush LIE to their faces about WMDs in Iraq, but unwilling to trust a black man who wants to help everyone?

    I am ashamed.

Exactly. The latent racism fueling distrust of the President’s capabilities, motives, or decision-making is mind-boggling.

I’m not haooy either, and loved an earlier comment you posted. What unnerves me is i see the same damned language on DK as in some comments on the prgmatic blogs. This is too manic depressive for me.

I agree with you. I am very depressed with what I read on TOAITR today and a little shocked at some of the comments of unproductive anger and blame at the President presented as ok because the people who wrote these comments are really big “Obama supporters” who are criticizing this ONE thing.

This ONE thing can lead to other things, and pretty soon it becomes hard to get off the anti-Obama wagon you’ve hitched onto because of this ONE thing.

I read so many blogs and information and believe I am very informed, and I will not, nor will I ever, criticize this President while he has so many detracters. He is the best president this country has ever had and I cannot watch these so-called “Obama supporters” let rip when even the different jobs reports are inconsistent with each other. There is 57,000 in one, 157,000 in another, unemployment at 8.7 in one and at 9.2 in another.

I refuse to lose faith. I refuse to give in to negativity, and I refuse to let anyone who is not in the President’s shoes, dare tell the President what he “should” and “should not” do.

      I too am ashamed.

President Barack Hussein Obama is NOT the problem. All he “needs” to do is continue with his amazing decision-making that got him into the White House and has already made him one of the betters President in American history, and all this within just a couple of years.

Now, people that should lectured about what they “need to do” are those running around like Chicken Littles saying the sky is falling because a job report comes out saying 57,000 Private Sector jobs were just created. Get immunized people, this is just the beginning of the MegaMedia and Repub spin machine and it’ll get much, much worse.

Remember Rev. Wright? William Ayers? Michelle’s “whitey” tape that was going to come out any day now? Tony Rezco? And all the other stories that literally DOMINATED “the news” for days and days, and all ended up being completely fabricated? They are just getting warmed up. Buck up, campers!

    • July 8, 2011 at 12:59 pm

I don’t care what’s what, I’m not giving up on this President. He will get his team together and then focus on what has to do. I’m still in his corner 100%.

Now that everyone has let out their frustrations . Let organize. we can pull off the biggest internet fight in the century. We need to categorize our action into groups of whatever you can do. We need to have a group of petitioners, emailer, phone callers, video maker, tweeter. The action needs to take place on a designated day for the entire day we need to floode every aspect of communication. So now let commit to our action.

Target- The tea party, republicans ,if we just tune the pl out we will take back the party from them. they are just attention grabbers who will fall into place.

We must bring america out of the amnesia state.
remind them of the 2010 elecition and what was promised, then show them what has not been done.
Msm cannot control the message. so bring the ideas and lets get started, if we take this weekend planning and deliver action next week we will control the news cycle. ideas people. Chipstick BWD, wSy the peoples view , extreme liberal, Angry black lady. lets get to work.

My point exactly! In 2009 the Fat Cat RepubliCon-Artists literally lied their way to win the House by hoodwinking and feeding lies and whatever else the constituents of the areas that voted to elect far right Tea Party types wanted to hear. Many of them had rued the day President Obama was elected. Ever since then Republican Party’s been on a Kamikaze mission saying “no matter what the cost they make sure President Obama was a 1 term President” Because they wanted to return the White House back to a white President. For almost 4 years now we’ve seen and heard the most objectionable and unpatriotic vitriol and a total lack of deceny, decorum and respect was the stance taken by the GOP. They’ve never tried to cooperate or in any way other than by trying to obstruct and impede the day to day governance and operation of this nation. Now the nation is close to having to default on its debt and financial obligations. This problem was exacerbated by the willy-nilly uncontrolled or restricted in any way 8-year spending spree of Presidency of George W. Bush. You’d think the Republicans would do all they could to straighten up the financial mess President Obama inheirited on January 20th, 2009 but nooooo! Instead the GOP has shamelessly acted like a bunch of spoiled children every opportunity they’ve had to pitch in an make a difference which is something every citizen is obligated to do. But instead helping to create more jobs and help the nation return to a more prosperous tomorrow, the Republicans instead want to shut down our economic base and run the ship of state aground. But we must stand united and strong and insure we reelect and return President Obama to office in 2012.

Thanks Bobfr. Point on. Tally spreading the news faithfully. Betsey, thanks for the quote.”Patience is the key to joy.” Like that. We can still have that patience while they hits are coming after us. We know joy will come in the morning especially after a hard day at work. I am very open about my observations on this President’s days in this highest office. Yes, it is about politics, but it also about an ugly racism that I have not seen happen to any of the other Presidents who have held that office. I know that this is the first “black’ one. But he is capable, his leadership is the best, his honesty is on point(he comes out and speaks to us) not errand person sent out. He is trying to help the lowly of all people in our country and across the globe. He has a passion for hard work and difficult tasks, he cares about our men and women who are at this very moment giving their lives for our freedoms to live here in a great country, and he tell us the truth. He is not happy with people being out of a job, look on his face, but he also needs another branch of government to help him. (we do have 3 branches). I have never seen anyone one stay and dog GW , Reagan, or Clinton on issues like they are currently doing their ugly mess to this President. Never. He will be re-elected. Barack Obama finishes what he starts. He does not give up. Ask Leon Panetta, Mullen, Gates, Clinton, H., and David P., and David A. So we will not give up, those who choose to continue to support him. I believe that the energy that we have here is a good energy. And he needs this energy to flow from us to him and his team. I am not telling anyone to follow my lead on anything, but I have seen in the past, that when you pull together, put forth your best and strongest positive and good energy, you prevail for the better. We can listen to each other, disagree at times, but we do it with respect, lovingly responding, and using common decency as we come to the table. We will do this. Patience, calmness, kicking butts, but doing it with a grace that will having the opposition wondering, “What the Heck Is That.?” We can do this. They said we could not do it in 2008 with a man name Barack H. Obama, but we did it. After he was the President Elect, you all know that he had to be told certain things, but he still stood there, took that oath(that Roberts’s messed up) but we forgive Roberts.. and he walked into that Oval Office as the President of the United States and began changing things for the better. Let us appreciate this gift, and help him get this hard work done in a difficult time with very difficult people who is is trying to work with during this time. Let us keep the energy of good positive, calm, firm in our comments, and most of all walking and talking with a gracefulness that is so amazing. I am not going to give up on my President. It is difficult at time, and I cry, say things I have to ask God to forgive me on, but I will not give up on him. Let us work, move, talk, pray, care, love, and respect together.
