reflecting

President Barack Obama talks with members of his staff in the Oval Office following a meeting with the Congressional Leadership, July 7, 2011. Pictured with the President, from left, are: Chief of Staff Bill Daley; Rob Nabors, Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs; Bruce Reed, Chief of Staff to the Vice President; National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling; Jason Furman, Principal Deputy Director of the National Economic Council; Office of Management and Budget Director Jack Lew; Senior Advisor David Plouffe; and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

I much prefer Bobfr’s caption:

“Gentlemen, yes I know, theyโ€™re dumber than rocks but they are Americans, too, so as we vaporize their deficit bulls*^t with Section 4 of the 14th Amendment and display for the American people just how lame, cruel and mind bogglingly dumb their little brinksmanship stunt is, be generous of spirit as we drape their Republican coffin with Old Glory, and bury their stain on 6 Nov 2012. Thank you and have a good day.”

And the PL will complain that there are no women in the room in 3..2..1…

(and yes, I’m a woman. It doesn’t bother me in the least. I know the folks in that room are the best people to be there) Pres. Obama has plenty of women in his inner circle to attend the tasks with which they have particular expertise.

    As the President is saying:

‘Gentlemen, yes I know, they’re dumber than rocks but they are Americans, too, so as we vaporize their deficit bulls*^t with Section 4 of the 14th Amendment and display for the American people just how lame, cruel and mind bogglingly dumb their little brinksmanship stunt is, be generous of spirit as we drape their Republican coffin with Old Glory, and bury their stain on 6 Nov 2012. Hahahahahahahahaha….. ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† OMG!!!! Bobfr I bow to your mastery of the english language. Your sense of humor is out of this world. It’s out of this world because of it’s use of brilliant wit. You would give Stephen Colbert a run for his money; because he’s another person who excels at smart humor.

ps: I should sue you for rendering me unable to breathe for a couple of seconds due to uncontrollable laughter. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Your punishment? In my court you have to make me laugh every second of the day or else………..

Pete Souza is a genius photographer. We don’t even need captions, the picture says it all: The Dream Team creamed the repubs.

Here’s a shallow comment from someone who is extremely distracted these days: I trust Obama. I trust his team, because he chose them and is leading them. Freaking out as perfected to an art form in leftopia or faux-leftopia, as in today’s performance, is not a choice I make. Maybe dealing with serious health issues has an upside – my priorities are fixed. There is enough to worry about without reaching for more. I found this photo reasuuring. Thanks Mr S, thanks Ms C.

Good men. Working on behalf of the entire country. Not sitting behind a computer hurling insults on Twitter, posting outrage diaries on blogsites or appearing on cable news to tear other people down. Just doing a hard day’s work that they were hired to do.

All the President’s men. I’m loving it.

I love the picture and the description. I needed a smile.:) I remember last December after the midterms I went to whitehouse.gov and sent President Obama a don’t give up email letter, letting him know that millions of us was behind him. I guess I will never know if he got it or read it. But I also suggested that since he had to deal with the Republicans he should tackle the tax code and reform it. Since Republicans like taxes so much. Much to my surprise I see that is just what he and Boner (on purpose) is doing I think.

I’m thinking, Boner need a win, and so do President Obama. And if the 2 of them can pull this off. They both win. And the country get a new decent fair tax code, and the debt limit will be raised until after the next election. Default is off the table, and so will a lot of taxes for millionaires. That mean the Tea Party will not win. I’m sure Boner would rather deal with President Obama than the cracked and crazy branch of his party. I’m hoping it all work.

I leave my TOD Family with a few quotes tonight. Again, thanks so much Chipsticks for all the joy, information, and encouragement you bring to this wonderful site for all of us.

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.
Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Marl Twaom/

” Dare tp dream pf ypir great success, become intimate with those things which deeply motivate you and regularly work toward the realization of that mission.” Radmacher

Have a wonderful evening everyone. I love you all for being so diverse in your thoughts, behavior, and respect.
