You gave me a heart attack! But it’s OK. I can take this kind of bad news!

I wonder if the house Democrats made their target? Part of me is hoping not. I think they need to be taught a lesson.

It would be good for them to know who’s the boss. Maybe a few will stop yapping if they realize who’s really energizing the base.

I sent the DCCC an email informing them that I’m not giving the dems one red cent, but that I will be donating to PBO regularly and will donate to those dems who have the president’s back. They haven’t earned the right to any of my money. I made up my mind to not send them another cent when Weiner and Kucinich started their fat-mouthed PBO bashing, and none of the other dems stepped up to support the president. I opened my email the other day, and lo, and behold, there’s an email from the DCCC telling me that I haven’t renewed my membership this year, and that I could do it by making a donation. These tools ran AWAY from the ACA and PBO last year, and they have the nerve to solicit ME for donations? I deleted the email as fast as I could. I hope there are millions following suit. They recently voted against the president regarding Libya and ME to help them get re-elected? Not likely. My parents didn’t raise no fool!

majii, I told them the same thing several times since PBO has been in office. I also told Barbara Lee, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer…and I meant every word…

That is the donations number. The total new donors is now at 493k!

Still, if the average donation is 100 bucks- that is 66
    Million bucks!

Not bad for a starting drive!

I know they’re aiming for $60 million but I know they’ve got more!!!!

      • June 30, 2011 at 11:36 pm

I think they have more too. Just think Mita, there is still 3 1/2 more hours on the West Coast until midnight. I just know we will hit 500,000.

Curious, do the big donors show in this ticker or are these small donors to the website only? Anyway, GO MR. PRESIDENT!!!!!!

The 650,000 is number of donations.

The 450,000 goal was number of donors.

    Both counters are here: http://www.barackobama.com/get-involved

Hi Chips. I think the numbers reflected 657,473 shows the amount of people that donated and not the actual donor amount. I may be wrong and that would be great but. . . wanted to throw that out there.

please delete my note after you read it. Didn’t want to publicly post the donor stuff . I only wanted to bring to your attention.

Hiya Nospin, really appreciate the correction, I’ve updated the post – I don’t ever want to be a leftie Fox ‘News’, spreading bull – so thank you again!

Hi Chipsticks. When do you think we’ll know the fundraising totals? Apparently Romney “only” got to 20 million.

  17. 42 bonkers
    July 1, 2011 at 12:21 am

These numbers are absolutely staggering. We’re talking just about #s of donors and donations, and not dollar amounts. It’s shocking to think what the total money raised will be.

He’s so far beyond at this point in the campaign than he was in 2007 that it’s scary to think about how much he’ll end up raising. Good scary, that is. And like before, it’s mostly small donations from people of average means, rather than the few really rich people who prop up Repub candidate dollar amounts, which still woefully trail The President anyway…

In unrelated news, out of curiosity I just checked the FireDogLake “membership” drive, and it seems like it’s been stuck for many weeks in the low 300s for new members, and this is despite several public appeals. The goal is 1,000 new members. As they say over there incessantly over the last few years, looks like President Obama is a naive, tone-deaf fool alienating his “base” after all. Oh well…

I did my part tonight. I donated at TOAITR, here and at OFA. I wanted to spread it around. So glad I got to be a part of all this. Chips you are the greatest.

Interesting is a polite way of putting it. After reading it I said out loud: “what was the point of this article?” It was just a recap of two people’s events ๐Ÿ™„ This is what passes for journalism these days? I’m telling you, if we are this bad now, what the hell would happen if a repug ever got anywhere near the white house in the distant future?

Just donated to top Chipsticks total at $3000; also pushed up the thermometer at BWD’s site. Can’t think of a better cause. I’m committed to protecting my granddaughters’ future.

This is great. I definitely donated. Obama/Biden 2012!!

OAN: My mom told me that she saw a story on the news about Christopher Dean (the young man that introduced the President at the BTW graduation in Memphis, TN). Apparently, he is interning at the White House this summer and they flew him in this past Sunday to begin his internship. I think it is so wonderful that this young man touched President Obama so much and that the President saw fit to help better this young man’s future. President Obama is truly a good man!

    This is great news Chipsticks.

I was looking back on some videos from the white house of the president and I remembered this one of the president and the hovercraft.
I think this would be great to add to your youtube site. What do you think?

and also the video of the president playing basket ball with Clark Kellogg.

As smart as he is, as cool as he is, as cunning as he is, as loving as he is, as determined as he is, President Obama is still a big ol’ teenager at heart!!! The hovercraft video is a scream. “What’s it for?” yells one of the reporters. “IT’S FOR FUN!!” PBO hollers back. 8)

Now, the NBA has locked out it’s players, the owners wants all if the tv revenue amongst other union busting issues. Just like the NFL- greedy owners.

In Minnesota, mark Dayton has drawn a line in the sand with the republican legislature, he wants to raise taxes on the rich to close 5 billion dollar budget shortfall.
Republicans said – no way- and the whole state is now closed!

Coincidentally, the US congress and the president is fighting about the same issues!

So, sports and politics are now the same bunch of people, same crowd of people- you know, rich v. Poor.

Will the Starbucks corporation ever make a comment about sponsoring a show that allowed a hack to insult the President of the United States of America Barack Obama??

  25. July 1, 2011 at 7:42 am

Btw: Eugene Robinson has become a hack? Everytime I hear him, he is parsing, cherry picking anything the president says or does!

Eugene should be more gracious towards the president, in 08, he was positive towards this president and got the pulitzer! And now, not so much…

Robinson just goes with the tide (the punditry tide, that is). And for the next 18 months, he’ll be echoing whatever the MSM is preaching.

I can’t stand to listen to him. He pauses and stutters when he speaks, making it very difficult to follow what he’s saying. I’m sure he’s a great writer, but he’s an awful public speaker.

    • July 1, 2011 at 2:07 pm

Jovie, E. Robinson is just like all the talking heads a herd of cattle on a range in a old western. The lead cow hears a sound it likes and heads to it come hell or high water. All the pundits get on the same side to make money and if the cattle call is bash President Obama then write a stupid book make money. Also the MSM RUN BEHIND THE TWO LEAD HEIFERS ON THE GREED OVER PEOPLE PARTY ticket and every utterance that comes out of their mouths be it true or lie they print it. Then they talk it to death on every network known to man.SO Robinson is no different make the money no matter what.

I am watching Morning Joe and they are currently having a pity party on how they been questioned about not having enough democrats on the show who support the President. Scarborough had the nerve to say they do but they don’t support the President as much. Morning Joe is a Morning joke. They have the same mild manner half supportive Democrats on who are to scared to say anything. They don’t really talk about the issues they just want to bash the President. Lastly if President Obama didn’t have any real supporters where is Halperin.

Does any one know if President Obama has a “presidential look-a-like” or “body double” that rides in the Presidential motorcade. The last sentence of this article caught me totally off-guard. In today’s Metro (the freebie paper that you can get when you ride SEPTA)
