I know, it’s pure stupidity to give this Halperin scumbag hits on his Time site anymore. My only excuse: I was curious to see if he’d tone down his anti-President Obama venom in light of what happened this morning.
Ha.
Just look at the nasty, aggressive tone this guy uses:
“In His Face.”
“His” face being that of the democratically elected President of the United States of America.
“Obama” would be, well, President Barack Obama – although it was a refreshing break from Halperin calling him “Bam”.
No mention, needless to say, of Romney’s latest comical flip-flop (see here)
Just to quote again the endlessly brilliant Steve Benen:
“Halperinâs credibility as an objective observer of political events has long been dubious, at best, but this morningâs little stunt should remove all doubt. In candor, I donât much care that Halperin sides with the right over the left, and takes cheap shots at Democrats. I care that Halperin is presented to the public as a neutral, even-handed expert, when thatâs plainly not the case. To this extent, the âdickâ comment only helps bring an end to a thin pretense.”
What are the bets Halperin will become a regular Fox contributor any time soon?

A post from May:
Are the Teabaggers designing Halperin’s graphics now? Real classy. đ
Update: Interesting – the graphic has now been removed from the site. The new headline story? Yep, you guessed it, it’s about the half-termer meeting the Chump.

Another post from May:
Mark Halperin’s obsession with the Alaskan half-termer is …. well …. bizarre. He must be the last man alive who takes this creature seriously.
His headline story at the moment on The Page is not about the reaction to the President’s speech on the Middle East, it’s not about the President’s meeting today with PM Netanyahu, it’s not about Jon Huntsman’s interview on GMA, it’s about the half-termer telling Fox (who else?) that she has ‘fire in her belly’. I kid you not, that’s his lead story, under the headline ‘Woman of Fire’.

BroadwayCarl: …. that idea grew to fruition with two tweets by Lt. Dan Choi: â. . . .sad that Barack Obama would have voted no” and “Obama: âI have plenty of gay friends. Some of them work for me. I just feel they are inferior to me, and they don’t deserve marriage.â”
That set me off in an ugly old cranky rant on âTweeterâ. I called Lt. Choi a self-made martyr and a media whoreâŚ.
His crusade became about himself and his rising star on MSNBC, not the greater good. In my opinion, President Obama became the target of âhisâ movement, and he lost sight of the LGBT movementâŚ.
As you know, Lt. Choi, Rachel Maddow, and Michael Moore all have the opinion that Obama would have voted against the gay marriage bill in NY. This is simply, unequivocally false…..
âŚ.his positions on issues are not based on his religious beliefs or political scheming but the most pragmatic, quickest way to do the right thing for people of the United States. Thus, he has used and is using his executive powers to make it easier for unions to organize, to implement parts of the DREAM Act, and to obtain civil rights for LGBTâs. If Congress wonât get the job done, then Obama looks for other avenues.
âŚ.He is a complex man. And donât you ever forget it.

As recently as 2002, Romney had called his support for abortion rights “unequivocal”. But in May 2005, he told USA Today that he was “in a different place”. Two months later, he began saying that Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision protecting abortion rights, had cheapened life. He vetoed a bill promoting emergency contraception, which he had supported as a candidate. (link)

True! Thank you bjw2.
MSNBC: Over the last few weeks … Mitt Romney has argued that President Obama’s policies have made the economy worse.
Here was Romney in New Hampshire on Monday: “âŚ.He did not cause this recession, but he made it worse.”
…. at the New Hampshire debate earlier this month: “He didn’t create the recession, but he made it worse and longer.”
But at his press conference today in Allentown ⌠Romney backtracked on the he-made-it-worse line.
When NBC producer Sue Kroll asked the former Massachusetts governor why he believes that Obama’s policies have made the economy worse – when the economy is now growing (and not shrinking like it was in 2009), when the Dow is climbing (and no longer in a free-fall like it was in ’09), and when the unemployment rate is down a full percentage point from where it was in Oct. ’09 – Romney gave this answer:
“I didn’t say that things are worse.”
