OK, now I’m going to cry. I love, love, love these people because their heart encompasses cultures and worlds beyond our borders so compassionately and readily and with RESPECT.

I loved all three of these trips by the First Family, but I have to say Ireland was my favorite. I’ve convinced some folks at work that they have to go to Ireland just because.

Good evening all. My what a day. I just wish I wasn’t always playing catch up. I love that everyone is now twitterfied. I have been tweeting for some time now. I find it fascinating to reduce my world, thoughts, action and deeds into 140 characters or less. It really is challenging. So I’m lunar_sea on twitter. When I get on next I will be sure to add/follow all the wonderful characters here and get on the list. Not tonite tho. About time for bed for me. Tons of great materials from that most excellent thrashing that took place today. And lots of great links to tweet about. Looking forward to meeting you all in twitterville and raising some Cain with the unenlightened and obstructionists. he he he

Ms ChipsChica I also just donated 25 to your drive. Every little bit helps. I hope it gets thrown into the tally at the Obama site. I love the spike that occurred today. People really are paying attention.

Oh what a way to end the day. I have to say the Ireland clip brought me to tears, especially the photos at the end where the woman is cupping PBO’s face in her hands. It’s as if she is saying he is a special, precious man and he is.

Quick report on Rev Al guest hosting for Ed. He did a long opening segment on the Prez’s presser. Hit all the great messages the Prez gave and had a good positive panel. He did ask the panel the question whether or not the Prez went far enough and the guests of course said he could go even further. I guess these folks just want PBO to get down in the mud with the Republicans. He is not going to do that and that is why he is so loved and respected. He’s not going there.

Al also covered Ohioans getting more than 1m signatures to stop Kasich’s bill. Ray-Chull covered this too and she had a police officer on who said he was a republican and couldn’t believe his “friends” would betray the police like that. This is what makes me have little sympathy for these folks. I mean I’m glad they are fighting, but this could have been avoided. It was ok for repubs to screw over America until it reached their doorsteps. Now everyone has to suffer because of their selfishness.

I think MSNBC should give Rev Al his own show. He should get Cenk the cretin’s spot.

Oh, and flipped to Hannity just for giggles (I do that sometimes) and boy are the repubs heads exploding about PBO’s presser. Hee hee. So happy PBO really let them have it. Can’t wait to hear Morning Joke whine tomorrow. He’s going to be off the chain with anger.

    Sweet dreams, everyone.

My man Rev. Al. He was fantastic. LOL, he was really getting into the role. It was a great show. I’ll probably watch the rerun. 😀

    • June 30, 2011 at 8:24 am

Yes my friend, I agree, Rev Al was great at hosting the Ed Show. Rev Al Is a man who Is a quick thinker, and who Is never ever at a loss for words. He’s a great debater, a good TV Host, and Is serious about the business, annnnnnd Is also humorous as he voices his thoughts and opinions. You go Rev Al 😀

Ok time for us to go to twitter and give Jon Stewart hell. He’s a fucking douchebag of the highest order. He did a skit in which he mocked the debt ceiling crisis debate and mocked the President’s press conference. For such a “smart” ( as he likes to tout) person he’s incredibly stupid when it comes to the debt ceiling negotiations. He said that the dems and repubs are arguing on the same side of the debate and they’re both being hyperbolic about the consequences of not raising the debt ceiling. No Jon, you nitwit; the dems are on the right side of the debate. If the debt ceiling isn’t raised then Social Security checks can’t be sent out, Veterans benefits can’t be sent out, Interest rates will skyrocket, investors will pull out of the US market and the US Economy will grind to a halt. I wonder where the putz was when repubs raised the debt ceiling 7 times under Dubya and now he gives dems hell for pounding into the American peoples’ conscious, of the serious urgency of now. First he bitches at dems for no action and now he bitches at them for action. Frankly, you’re a nutcase Stewart.

In other news saw the originally South African now naturalized American citizen actress Charlize Theron from Monster, Hancock, The Devil’s Advocate on Piers Morgan Tonight and she was in full support for PBO. She said when she voted for him in 2008, it was like voting for Mandela. She knew she was a part of history and a part of changing the dialogue and paradigm of American and world politics. She said she fully and unconditionally supports President Obama and will be voting for him in 2012. She also said he’s been an excellent President inspite of all the BS that’s been shoved his way. She was pretty pissed and disappointed at Democrats who go on TV criticizing the President for no darn reason. She told them to stop whining and instead put words to action because PBO can’t do it alone.

Jon Stewart has been going down that road for some time now. I stopped watching for quite sometime, unless someone posts a good clip. Don’t miss him. He seemed to really ratchet up a few notches about the time of the Weiner scandal. He should definitely be addressed.

Great to hear about Charlize. And tickled pink by the reports I’m hearing on RevAl’s hosting. Only had time for one clip online. The one re the Sharia Law Lunatic. (not the LunarSea type 🙂 ) It was very good.

I’ve always liked Charlize Theron – she seems like she’s got her head screwed on straight. I might just watch Piers to watch her comments on PBO.

    One thought on tweeting.

When you put an @ sign in front of a name the tweet goes to that person’s home page. If you want to call out a pundit or politician or speak directly to a person add the @ sign in front of their name, but if you want to address a topic and get lots of people to see or add to the conversation you add a # sign. Enough people using the # sign causes it to ‘trend’.

In my wondering thru this and BWD’s sites I’ve seen great suggestions for # topics. So for example if you want to start a trending topic of #youareaflakeif you would put that somewhere in the tweet. You can combine them by sending the topic directly to someone like

#youareaflake if you think Adams & Lincoln were founding fathers @CNN @GOPLeader

That way cnn and Can’tor get it directly and everyone watching the #youareaflake trend also get to see it. Also a word of caution. People can block you when you abuse/overuse the @ sign at them. So that needs to be considered when posting to pundits and other idiots.

Just thought I’d add that to the ‘how to twitter’ collection.

Night all…many blessing on TOD and first families

Poll: Perry Trails Obama In Texas

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has reportedly been eyeing the race for the Republican presidential nomination — but Texas isn’t eyeing him for president, according to new survey from Public Policy Polling (D).

Indeed, the poll shows Perry trailing President Obama in heavily Republican Texas, which last voted Democratic for president in 1976, when Jimmy Carter was the South’s favorite son. Obama leads 47%-45%, even though Obama’s net approval rating is underwater at 42%-55%. Of course, this could potentially change if Perry actually became the nominee in a real election, but it’s not a good starting point.

I;m sure it didn’t help that he took the stimulus money and spent something like $600,000 to fix up the Gov’s mansion. Then went around saying how the stimulus didn’t work.

Why his rating are as high as they are is a mystery unto itself.
