I concur Doris. I wrote to the President at the last month and I brought up the possibility of having Tom Joyner, and Roland Martin to come in and give him so interviews because I was tired of the negative press that he was getting. I know that these interviews are planned months probably ahead, but to hear this one was very gratifying. I also heard Vice Presiden Biden on with Tom Joyner after I asked the President to go or send someone on Tom Joyner’s program. So he and his staff listens especially when we give our concerns with deep respect and with a common purpose. I make it a point to write to our President, First Lady, Vice President, Dr. Biden, and David Plouffe and Valarie Jarret. That is a duty that I know that I can and must do. It just simple, but I think it is important. I did receive a complete response to a direct question to the President last month. Any little deed that we can do in a respectful manner will help our President. He can’t hear and see things that we can see. Just wanted to share. I wrote a thank you to Mr. Madison at Roland Martin. Off to more writing of thank yous for today.

Minnesota next. Republicans wil not budge on new revenue just like in congress!

California is a mess because they need a super majority to raise taxes and can’t put it to a new referendum vote. I don’t know how, but they need to find a way to break that stranglehold.

We see it to a lesser, but similar, extent with the 60-vote threshold in the Senate. Given that Wyoming and other small states get the same number of Senators as Cali and NY, there is no way Dems could ever have a super majority in the Senate, especially given the Conservadems like Nelson, Landrieu, Conrad and the like that it would take to ever get us there.

At least budget matters are 50 + 1.

It disturbs me when a black reporter feels inclined to ask such an asinine question: “Latino’s and AA’s feel the Prez is not doing enough about jobs for them” (paraphrasing). This President is doing all that he can to create a way for unskilled and skilled workers to gain employment across the board. He’s creating the training and providing incentives – its up to the people to become skilled and available. Some of the online trainings provided by community colleges are at no cost to those who enroll.

I would love to ask Mrs. Bachmann what have she and the Republicans done for the Latinos, for the African Americans. How long have she been in Congress? She and the Republicans were in office for those eight years of GW Bush and what did they do for any of us. Not a dog gone thing. Don’t go down that road Mrs. Flaky.

Does Powell work for Obama? How can he just “send” him down there?

My job isn’t to make symbolic gestures, it’s to lead the country, etc…YES!

I am constantly proud of how POTUS rises above pettiness and provides intelligent answers to silly questions. As an AA, I cringe at the stupidity and the gall.
