That is a very impressive photo of the President entering the plane. Wow! Serious, determined, and incredibly handsome.

Wow, Lisa. That’s a very nice article. I loved this:

“… while today’s challenges might not always inspire the lofty rhetoric or the high drama of struggles past, the injustices at hand are no less glaring, the human suffering no less acute,” Obama told some 2,000 people in the historic Regina Mundi church in Soweto. Economic growth, HIV prevention, combating corruption, freedom of speech, sexual equality, these are the struggles of the current generation. Acting on a local level and with commitment to change, young people can change the world, she assured her rapt audience. Then she deftly tied the anti-Apartheid struggle to some inspirational young women alive today, showed that America has ever been a friend of the struggle, invoked the optimistic spirit of Bobby Kennedy, and started dishing out those hugs.

Chipsticks, a request. Please post a portion of this P M Carpenter essay and title it ‘Treason’:

We need as many people to see this as possible.

Cantor pulled out of talks with VP Biden today. They really are willing to destroy the Republic and bring certain havoc to all societies.

    Thank you

White House uploaded another video and she speaks about meeting Nelson Mandela. She says something powerful. “The only that can happen in an instant is destruction but everything else takes time. Building a family, having a career takes time.”

That’s definitely a shoutout to all the impatient, lazy democrats who didn’t vote in 2010. I would love to hear her say that again in 2012 at the DNC.

My President looks wonderful as usual. And he is so eloquent.

I WATCHED THE PRESIDENT’S SPEECH AT FT. DRUM AND HE WAS SO EXCITED TO BE WITH THEM. HE DIDN’T WANT TO TALK LONG…HE WANTED TO FOCUS HIS ATTENTION ON EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. I BET THERE IS SOME HEARTWARMING CHATTER GOING ON RIGHT NOW! YOU CAN FEEL HIS GREAT LOVE FOR THE MILITARY…AND MICHELLE’S.

I missed the speech, but caught a few minutes of him shaking hands before the livestream ended. He looked happy with the troops.

Thanks Chipsticks for the heads up! I love seeing him go from soldier to soldier and look them in the eye while shaking their hands. Even soldiers get excited by the attention from their Commander in Chief! I just admired President Obama to the utmost!

OMG, friends. If you haven’t heard Mrs. Obama’s speech, then you are missing something special. With stunning clarity she evokes passion and understanding and genuineness and action. That was her best so far. It could have been given by the President himself. She has come so far from the first days of the campaign trail when you could feel her uneasiness in her stump speeches. You go, girl. You are inspiring.
