My heart is full when I think of how Mrs. Robinson must feel to see and to experience so many of the things that her daughter has been a part of. How proud she must feel and maybe a little sad because Michelle’s dad is not here to see how much his baby girl has flourished and is giving to so many. It was important to him that she and her brother use their educations to give back , and she has done it globally. I love to see how Michelle respects her mother and how she always wants her near. Mrs. Robinson also wraps PBO in love and support. One of my favorite photos of the two is of them watching the election returns and Mrs. Robinson was holding his hand. Also, according to Michelle, when they have disagreements, Mrs. Robinson takes Barack’s side. Mrs. Robinson is like many mothers and grandmothers (my mother is such) who selflessly love and support their families. I am so glad that she is so much a part of this wild adventure that the First family is on.

That really puts a smile on my face. You think of all those kids whose lives are being touched by our FLOTUS. I pray they will remember this all their lives. I know I will.

I’d love to see video of Nelson Mandela’s wife introducing Mrs. Obama and the unplanned song that the audience sang for her. Anyone have a link?

I love the circle dance video almost as much as I love the “Baby Whisper” video…that little boy is so cute! What a great way to learn (and move the body). When I was a kid we use to play similar games (pre pac man, video games, etc).
